Charles McCormick and his brother were on their way home to Montana. While taking a break at a small truck stop, Charles noticed a truck at the far end of the parking lot. Something about didn't seem right and piqued his interest. Little did he know he was about to be involved in something extremely sinister. Jackalynn Todd was living a nightmare. She had been sold like a slab of meat by her drunken uncle. She was dirty, hungry and had seldom seen the outside of a trucker's sleeper in over three weeks. She was sure her life was over until a stranger knocked on the door. She was terrified the trucker would return and told the stranger to go away, but in her heart she hoped he would save her. Polly Whitney knew she would be dead soon. She was naked and in a cage with several other naked women. Each night she would be beaten until she was unconscious and each night she prayed that she would die. This book contains explicit sexual material, adult language and violence. It is only suited for mature readers 18 years of age and older.

About the author

I was born in Toronto, Canada. I moved to southern California in the mid-sixties. I worked for a record company, a cosmetic manufacturer, and as a school bus driver. I rescued abused horses and raised Quarter horses. I retired in 2010 and moved to New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment, with my husband and menagerie of dogs, cats and birds.
In October 2015, I sat down with an idea while watching TV and started to write on my tablet and couldn’t stop.
In March, 2016, I released Bearly Too Old. By then I had written two books and was working on a third when I got brave enough to self-publish my first book. I hope you enjoy my books. They do contain adult content and are intended for 18 years of age and older.

Bearly Saved My Heart: Quake Lake Bears (Madison Range Shifters Book 1) - Charles saves a woman held against her will. Little does he know it will lead him to his mate. The discovery of a dark subject matter brings Charles, Jackie, and his friends together to save others that have fallen prey to those that would harm shifters. The storyline keeps you turning the pages as the tension builds bringing Charles and Jackie even closer. This story deals with a dark subject matter, but it doesn’t overwhelm the story. The series just keeps getting better. I can’t wait to start the next book to see where these characters take me.

Good storylines, and connections between the books. There are some editing issues - pronoun mixups , antecedent confusion, and at times some word mix ups (then/than type of stuff.) Those errors are not at the point they distract from the book but are noticeable. Overall a good read.

This book grabbed my attention. There were parts that I felt were a little slow but then it would get good again. There was sexual situations, which were well written. The twist was unexpected. I was surprised by it. It was interesting how fast they all accepted their mating bond. A good quick read.

This is a riveting tale of modern day and age old terror...being sold. Follow this fantastic story about how brothers play a important role in saving some of these women. A tale of terror, being saved, finding love and entering the amazing world of shifters.

This was such a adorable story between a bobcat and a bear! Margery Ellen write in such a way that you truly feel like you are a part of the story.
