GETTING IN THE MOOD by Erin Nicholas is fun, light-hearted, romantic, and steamy. Perfect fare if you are craving a a quick Valentine's Day love story. Levi and Kate are amazing together, I love the wit and chemistry between these two. Sexy Tucker Bennett and the rest of the Sapphire Falls gang are also there to add to the fun in their usual quirky ways. I just love this series, I always get caught up in the story, the characters, and lost in the magic of each book! And at the end, my mind is screaming more!! 4.5 stars

So this is more of a therapy session that a review. But I am just frustrated. This is probably sweet. This probably has bursts of heat. This will probably have a HEA. But the inevitable Three's Company-ish / misunderstanding / hi-jinks / makes me weary. At this point, I just don't care. This is the 3rd book in a holiday anthology and I have struggled with caring about the other 2 books too. I just want a story to capture me. And these have not.

I've returned to Sapphire Falls for the holidays. The town is cute and quirky and the characters in Getting Wrapped Up are almost as cute and quirky as the town is. This collection of books is a funny, fluffy, flirty holiday collection.

Getting in the Spirit:
There isn't a book that Erin Nicholas writes that I don't completely love. And Getting in the Spirit solidifies that! What a fantastic story about two people, who aren't from Sapphire Falls, but it's magic of making people fall in love hits them too! Kate, needing a break and to have a GOOD Christmas, decides that spending some time in Sapphire Falls at her friend Phoebe's place is exactly what she needs. Get away from California. Soak in the Christmas spirit. Little does she know that she's going to have a house mate. Levi needs to make some serious changes to his life. It's time to slow down and get his life together. Little does he know that a beautiful blonde is about to change his life for him.
A blind date with the wrong people sets up this sexy, swoony, heartfelt, fun, romantic story. I couldn't love these two together anymore than I do. They chemistry is totally hot it melts snow! ;)
If you're looking for a short, totally sexy, fun, wonderful read.....this is it!

I love it when Erin Nicholas gives her readers books like this! Short, sweet and nothing but sexy goodness!! Getting In The Mood is the continuation of Levi and Kate’s story. This time, it’s Valentine’s Day in Sapphire Falls. Kate plans to surprise Levi in his little hometown for a Valentine’s Day he won’t soon forget. He thinks she is going to DC, little does he know she is planning on paying him a visit…not just for one day, but forever. Kate finally decides that Sapphire Falls is where she wants to be. So she gave up her job and her apartment and she just have to work up the nerve to tell Levi that even though it’s only been a few short weeks, she wants to be wherever he is. Levi has decided that he is moving to Kate’s home in California. Unfortunately, he knows Kate would never ask him to be with her there because she knows how happy he is in Sapphire Falls. So he sets out to make her believe that Sapphire Falls has nothing to offer. Fortunately for him, no amount of bad oatmeal, bad coffee or gross insects can scare her off.
If you thought that Getting In The Spirit (Kate and Levi’s first story) was hot, let me recommend that you buy this book! These two have a chemistry that is unlike any other. Whenever they are within 10 feet of each other there are fireworks! And let me tell you, Levi Spencer has a way of making ALL food sexy!
You’ll get sappy romance, sweet hometown fun, HOT-outside-a-bar fun, truck rocking, fun in a sled, unbelievable sexiness with food and some glimpses at Tucker(from the next book, Getting It All) in this one!

A friend and I decided we wanted to read more Christmas and romance books. A day or two later I got an email with this ebook as a free kindle deal. We decided to download it and it was pretty awful.

The characters were immediately in love without really knowing each other, the writing wasn't very good, everything was very clichéd and the sex scenes were once again badly written. I refuse to say "oh it's a romance holiday book, it's bound to be fluff" but I think letting bad writing slide because it's a fluff book gives indication that it's alright that it kind of sucked. Also, then main male character kept throwing around money, and I'm not sure why this is a turn on in romance books. It's not attractive. He calls a restaurant, who doesn't deliver, and says he'd pay them an extra grand to deliver it to them so they didn't have to get dressed after having infection inducing (I assume) sex. Not attractive. At all.

I didn't expect to have my mind blown at the story, but I did expect to enjoy it which I can't say I did. I didn't read the second book in the story, because the first one was enough to know it isn't for me.

Small (but more detailed) spoiler:

The end when he says he had a present for her, I swear I assumed it was a engagement ring. That's how insane these two characters seemed. They met less than 2 days ago and they acted like they knew each other all their lives. It was unrealistic.

A couple of weeks ago, this book popped up on Amazon as a kindle edition for free. My original plan was to ignore the majority of Christmas mania this year. My resolution has been forgotten at the same time as the scent of Christmas cookies started to spread in my flat.

The first part of Getting Wrapped Up was a pleasant surprise. It was fluffy, funny, and very Christmassy story. Yes, it was very romantic, completely unbelievable and full of dirty sex (author’s words, not mine). Nevertheless, I liked it. It was nearly a perfect Christmas utopia I was looking for.

Unfortunately, part two and three completely destroyed my Christmas mood. I missed all the humour and interesting characters that Erin created in the first story. The last two parts were just full of sex with food (please, don’t ever try to make sex with broccoli sexy again!!) and predictable dialogues.

4 stars - It was nice to make a return trip to Sapphire Falls and catch up with some of the characters there, liked the newbies Kate & Levi but, and I can't believe I'm saying this, the overly-long sex scenes ruined it for me a little bit! Erin Nicholas writes well and I'm all for steam/heat in a romance, it's usually a good thing but in the context of these shorter stories they seemed a bit disproportionate and unnecessarily drawn out. Still, enjoyed it enough to to be looking forward to my next visit to small town Nebraska.

Got this kindle bundle for free and only read the first one... Definitely not my kind of reading. The storyline was semi-cute, though very insta-love and I didn't care for a lot of things that happened. I didn't care for the two main characters, especially when Levi thought/talked about money and his (what I interpreted as) control issues. Then of course there were the sex scenes, which honestly made me nauseous.

The stories with Kate and Levi are very appealing. It's nice to have two cosmopolitan characters falling for the charm of Sapphire Falls. The middle story is barely there, so it's definitely better to buy this as a bundle than getting the three separately. I kind of wish these two had gotten a full novel, but it's nice to see them in the novellas.

The 3 book bundle tells about "Getting In the Spirit", "Getting In the Mood" and "Getting Frisky"short novellas which tell story plot set either in Christmas and New Year's Eve and jumping to Valentine's Day. All stories are bound to two main characters, Levi and Kate, starting from the moment when their closest people try to set a blind date for each of them and it goes wrong, but two of them meat and find having ultimate connection. The story takes place in the small town of Sapphire Halls, a very small town that are into festivals, holidays and celebrations. The book starts by giving a reader a warning if you like dirty content you will enjoy the novel (omg - what start is that??? ) and each of the next stories tells that much about each... and to be honest, there's not much of a dirty talk, flirting with each other and that's it.

Basically each of the story novella has one main climax in the plot, there's one sex scene and side characters but that's about it. The characters are build up and involves getting to know their background and why both of them wants to celebrate Christmas so bad and get together. The book has overly Christmas mood, like seriously, a lot, too much for me to get the sense of reality popping in the story where two wealthy, grown up people can more or less achieve anything they set their minds to.

By all means, I say, read if you are in reading slum, want romantic stories, your last book was a thriller.

Getting Wrapped Up by Erin Nicholas is a bundle with three short stories form Sapphire Falls. Levi has led a playboy's life until he was in a serious car accident. To turn his life around he decides to go to Sapphire Falls. There he meets Kate through some weird circumstances. Both feel attracted to each other immediately and fall deeply in love. But both have a life away from Sapphire Falls and no one knows how everything will turn out.

The three short stories were very sexy. They are based during winter and Christmas, which gave me a nice and cosy feeling. The background story behind this relationship was not much, which is due to their story being in short stories. They had more sex than anything else it seemed. Very hot and steamy scenes we had. Apart from that I can't really say anything else about this book.

I quite enjoyed the three short stories. They were very festive and got me into Christmas-mood (they are predicting snow this week where I live, so!). I can't wait to read the other books in this series.

Getting Wrapped Up was originally a couple of novellas about Levi and Kate. It's set out in 3 parts (the original novellas/short story) and there is a small amount of background information that's repeated but overall they flow well when put together.
Levi visits his brother in small town Sapphire Falls in an attempt to change his lifestyle after an accident. Kate is in town to try and make happy Christmas memories after a lifetime of disappointing ones. They end up in each other's lives after a case of mistaken identity and I found myself holding my breath, waiting for them to find out the truth.
The journey of their relationship is fast and steamy, sweet and fun, heartwarming and full of interesting uses for candy canes and vegetables. I love how the small town gets to them and they find what they need.

I enjoyed this read a little. Levi is leaving Las Vegas and his life style behind after a very serious accident. He moves to a small town in Nebraska, where is married brother, Joe, lives. He meets Kate on his first night and it is love at first sight. Kate is best friends with Joe’s wife, Phoebe. Joe finds Levi a blind date and Phoebe finds one for Kate. They meet at the arranged bar and are not aware of the mix up, until later, but by then each one is smitten with 5he other. Very good holiday read. This one goes into New Year and Valentine’s Day.

This bundle started out ok, with the story line. Levi and Kate had instant chemistry. But as it went further into their story, it became less about them and more about their love life. I just wasn't feeling it. I found myself skimming through it just trying to finish it so I can move on to the next book in the series. I love Sapphire Falls and hope the next books are better.

This bundle of three novellas/short stories was enjoyable. I loved how it followed the couple from when they met on Christmas through Valentine’s Day. Levi and Kate were lovable, endearing characters even though they each had their own set of flaws. There dialogue was fast paced and refreshing. The plot of the story drew me in, and I couldn’t wait to find out what happened with the characters next. I loved the world of Sapphire Hills that the author created. The community feeling and come togetherness was well written and described. The intimacy between Levi and Kate was equally steamy and sweet.
