Rock. Freakin’. Hard.

That’s me. Mathew Barton. I party like a rock star, play like an All Star, and f*ck like a porn star.

There’s not a woman I can’t make mine, but the only one I want is off limits.

I went on tour to get Selena Torres out of my head. All it did was make me crave her more.

Now she’s taken, the property of a guy I used to call my best friend.

It doesn’t help he’s her agent.

But I see right through him. He only wants her for one thing, and it ain’t her hot curves and parted lips.

I should have stayed away, but now I’m home I’ve got no choice. I have to protect her.

I won’t stop until she’s in my arms, my bed, thrashing and crying out my name with that honey sweet voice.

Nothing is going to keep us apart—not that prick, not a contract, not a god damn army.

One way or another, I’m going to make Selena sing again.

Selena "Sel" Torres and Mathew "Mat" Barton have been friends since growing up together. They both liked each other but nothing ever happened romantically between them. Both became musicians and Mat left on a world tour. Now back, he and Sel run into each other and they reveal their true feelings. They are perfect for each other but their relationship keeps taking hit after hit. Every time it seems like things are turning around, something else comes along to pull the rug out from under them. Sel and Mat never give up though. As easy as it would be to throw in the towel and walk away, they keep fighting .. for their careers and for each other. You can't help but cheer them on and hate anyone who stands in their way. They are so genuine. I loved both characters!

This book was very different to what I was expecting.....Matthew seemed to be a "bad boy" by reputation only.

Serena, Matthew, and Rick were friends, very close friends, in the past ....but appearances can be deceptive, as Serena found to her cost.

The plot was totally believable with its look behind the scenes at the cutthroat world of the music business, its emphasis on the ills of social media, and how today's stars can easily fall from grace tomorrow.

I found the sub-plot involving Matthew's mother to be only too close to the truth.

The book is also about starting over and forging a different path whilst staying true to one's ideals.

Well written and enjoyable!

This book was OK. I couldn’t get into it, at least not until about chapter 22. Then I realized there was only two more chapters to go plus Epilogue.

Mat and and Selena have known each other their whole life‘s. So there’s no introduction of who each character is. Mat has gone away on a world tour but there’s no indication on how long he was gone. Mat, Selena and Rick have been friends since childhood. Since Mat is away Selena hooks up with Rick. I only think Rick was with Selena because of his jealousy. When Mat returns home I can feel the connection Selena has to him. I do not feel the connection that Mat has to Selena. I couldn’t believe all the things Rick puts Mat and Salina through. In the end it all works out for Mat and Selena.

In the epilogue I was happy to see Mat's mom was healthy. It is so nice to see that they are starting their own family.

Enough heat to create a sauna, but this isn't just between Mat and Selena, there is also the heat of betrayal. The characters are very vivid throughout the story and will definitely hold the readers interest. I voluntarily read and now review this story on behalf of all "Bad Boy" lovers everywhere. You wanna read and see the steam keep on rising....this book is for you. I'm still fanning myself!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was a fast read. Mat and Selena grew up together and have the love of music. Mat left to tour the whole whilst Selena stayed behind to work on becoming a star. When they meet up again things start going south. Don't want to give anything away, but when it seemed the world was going against them they never gave up they kept fighting not only for themselves but for each other.

Brilliant read.

This book was so good. So well written. Selena has always had a thong for Mathew. He's back in town & she can't get him out of her head. She is going out with Rick but she's not sure about him. Loved this book & the bonus book was just as good. This author knows her stuff. Thanks.

Good

It was good I gave it 3 1/2 stars I love the characters that part is perfect. But the story was a little rushed and it bounced around from one thing to next fast the scenes could have been longer. The book is good and a great read just a few minor things I would have liked.

From childhood best friends to forever love...Nothing can tear them apart this time.

I was so excited to read this new release from one of my favourite authors!

I have to be honest, I don’t always love the rock star romance, but I felt this one had so much more than just the usual rocker love story.

Mathew Barton is the son of a legendary rock star. He’s just returned from his first “world tour”, where he spent as much time bartending for money as he did performing. But it didn’t matter to him. He was living the life of a rock-star and seeing the world.

Mathew’s best friend from childhood Selena Torres is a rising star. She’s becoming a famous pop princess and is loving life. After being pursued for years by the third best friend from their childhood trio – Rick, she gives in and agrees to finally date him. Now he’s her boyfriend and her manager, and he’s not exactly and upstanding fella.

Mathew and Selena are reunited when Mat comes home from tour and they fall back into their easy friendship. They’ve always secretly had a thing for each other, but the timing was never right. And again, the time isn’t right now either. Rick becomes very possessive and jealous of the rekindled friendship, but Selena tries to give him the benefit of the doubt. Until she can’t do that anymore. Caught in the act of not only cheating on her personally, but stealing her royalties, she removes him from her life and starts anew.

Mat and Selena quickly fall into each other’s arms and begin sleeping together, singing together and building a new partnership. They’re both inspired by the success of Mat’s deceased dad and live amongst his rock and roll treasures. They jam with his old guitars and find boxes of unfinished songs and lyrics.

Together they start booking small gigs, recording in a homemade studio and their future looks bright, but unfortunately we haven’t seen the last of their vengeful childhood friend. Rick goes to incredible lengths to tear them down professionally, but any attempts to split them personally are in vain. They are meant to be and nothing will tear them apart.

This was a very sweet, extremely sexy standalone novel. Rock star romance, but also friends-to-lovers romance. The epilogue was so perfect, but I’m a sucker for a happy ending!

I volunteered to review an advanced copy of this book.

Oh wow....friends, you either love them or hate them. Well true friends wouldn't betray you, big time. Selena Torres has been friends for a long time with Rick and Mathew Barton. Then life got in the way and Mathew went off to see life and go on tour. Both Selena and Mathew can sing but Rick is a different kind of person. He now manages Selena and is her recent new boyfriend. Oh wow, Matthew, that's a surprise. A story of fate taking a hand , friendships tested to the limit and then some more. Then when you think things couldn't get worse, they do. Mathew worries about his mum. Selena has a big shock with her friend Alice, some friend hey and then their music talents are tested as well. The one thing that kept them going was love, faith and hope. So much bad luck but it was a good read and not as bad as it sounds and yes, I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed Amped, and pretty much just zoomed through from beginning to end in one sitting. I was surprised with how sweet this book actually is, I was expecting a little bit more angst, but I enjoyed the heartfelt romance between Mat and Selena. I do wish there was a little bit more depth to the emotions in this book, but the light-heartedness was a welcome relief from the many books that feature severe emotionally damaged characters. In Amped, Selena is a Latina singer on the rise, and Mat is a rocker, who hasn't really hit his rise yet and isn't really feeling his music anymore. Selena and Mat have known each other since they were kids, and both of them had some feelings for the other, but Mat left to tour around the world with his band. Mat has come back to town, and wants to reconnect with Selena, but Selena has a boyfriend, who Mat and Selena used to pal around with as well when they were kids. Both Mat and Selena have some obstacles to fight through to maintain each of their music careers, and not everyone has their best interests in mind. I loved that Mat and Selena bond over music, and I felt they are good for each other and had good chemistry. Mat is there for Selena when she gets dealt a tough hand, and Selena is there to support Mat, when he has some personal problems to contend with, and I love how Mat wasn't going to let Selena slip away from him. There are also some really hot sex scenes between the 2, which were great! I love that both Mat and Selena weren't going to take any guff from anyone, and they stood up for themselves. Amped has dual POV's, which I think was good with this book, and it really helped me to feel more connected to the characters. Cute, fun, and hot read! Looking forward to more books by Teagan Kade!

Musician/Rockstar romance is quickly becoming a favorite genre of mine, after reading the blurb for this book my interest was peaked, turned out for me it was a good choice.
Selena a up and coming singer gets a surprise on a talk show by her old childhood friend and singer Matt as he comes on stage to do a little interview with her, sparks fly on set, but Selena is with Rick Matts friends from childhood as well they called themselves the 3 amigos Rick is her Managers as well, he doesn't want to get into the middle of whatever that is, even though he may have always had some feelings for her… but now he has a chance to make music with Selena he cannot pass up that opportunity because of Rick… what could possibly go wrong?
This book…. I got into this one. Its funny I usually get so uptight when I feel a book isn't long enough( I am all about the details people) this one I was going come on why does something else have to go wrong for these two? Can't we get to the end? I NEED to know this works out for them..Then I went throught the whole thought process of so help me if these two do not get an HEA this author and I are gonna have words ( because apparently in the heat of the moment I felt justified enough I could just tell someone else how to write a book) clearly by the end of the book I came to my senses once reality sank back in. What I was left was a great book full of excellent plot twists, copious amounts of hot sex secens, fun banter, strong lead female character ( um heck Yea) and some rock and roll romance! Good way to spend my afternoon! 5 Stars from me!!

Amped: a Bad Boy Rock Star Romance by Teagen Kade is HOT and you get the full Rock Star treatment. Let your blood pressure build and the excitement push you through this HOT read. The Hot chemistry between Selena Torres, Latina Pop Star, and Mathew Barton ,2end Generation Rock star, is a force to be reckoned with. These Child hood friends have three years to make up for, that is once they finally get to the point that they admit they have feeling for each other.

Amped is a hot Rock Star novel and it will make your blood pressure rise as you flip the pages of this fast pace couple. The book is well developed and I love the characters, because they are well written. The book shows not only the HOT side of being a Musician but the true struggles that they can faces as their career is always on the line. I had the book finished in one sitting because the drama and the intrigue of the book pulled me through. The prospective of the book changes between Selena and Mat as you drift through the pages of their story.

Selena Torres and Matthew, Mat, Barton were as thick as thieves growing up, but a world tour, sort of, for him and a rising fame for her means they have changed. But now back in the same town and old habits start popping up for them both. Hanging out, talking and the chemistry is back, but Selena has a boyfriend in her agent Rick. When her life implodes and Mat is trying to save his father's legacy and secure some kind of future for himself they find themselves fighting on the same side, with people out to see them fail. Both of them by themselves are amazing, but preforming together puts them on a whole different level. When the wolves circle they will stop at nothing to prove they have what it takes to make it big and keep Mat's fathers legacy going. I absolutely loved this book! Mat and Selena are awesome and what they do to help his mom is just great. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Selena is an up and coming star. Matt is her childhood best friend and another up and coming star. When they see each other again on the set of a talk show they both feel the attraction and the sparks. However, Selena is the girlfriend of their other childhood friend Rick. They were called the 3 amigos growing up because of how close they were. And Rick just happens to also be her manager. Matt doesn't want to act on his feelings because of the friendship between the three but he has the chance to make music with her and he can not pass up the opportunity to help his career out. So they start their journey into making music. But it doesn't go as planned. Feelings are too strong to ignore sometimes.
This book is great! I couldn't put it down. i am not usually a fan of Rock Star Romance but this one kept my attention all the way through.

Selena is the rising star. Mason is the floundering passionate son of a star. They grew up together loving each other from afar and not knowing the others feelings. When circumstances bring Mason and Selena together the music flies. Teagan Kade did a good job of writing a story with revenge, cheating and being able to overcome the obstacles one faces. There people I could not stand, I really liked Mason and Selena. Mason is the hot head and Selena is the calming force. Mason and Selena make a good team. Teagan Kade did a good job of betraying the teamwork between these two characters. In my opinion this was a fun story that I enjoyed and was entertained by. In my opinion it is worth taking a look at. I was given an ARC edition for my honest and voluntary review.

Wow, I have read a few books by Teagan Kade and come to expect the best and she didn't let me down. Although a bit different from her normal style this was an very AWSOME read. I basically stopped my day and read til I was done. This is not your typical musician/romance - it is so much more. So many twists and turns and what a ride. The author threw so much at this couple I wasn't sure about the HEA ending promised but, like magic, unexpected events and all was well. I will admit there were times I wanted to reach in and make everything right for Mat and Selena. The author is such a great writer. This story flowed well, the pace fast at times and Teagan squeezed your heart for every last drop. A must read with lots of feels. 5 big stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amped by Teagan Kade

Selena famous singer and Rick her manager, are taking there relationship slow and are living together. They are friends from when they were kids. Selena is on the Delaney Martinez show and as she sits there Delaney brings out her next guess. She brings out Mathew Barton, rising bad boy and son of the legendary Mason Barton. Mat also grew up with Rick and Selena. I enjoyed this story about three friends that grew up together but have different lives as grown up adults. This story has may different twist and turns and is so hard to put down. I loved the way each person has different ideals how to achieve their goals in life. I truly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more stories from Teagan Kade. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy.

4 stars This was a very good contemporary rock-star romance. This is a stand-alone that keeps the momentum going from beginning to the end. Ms. Kade used her words to introduce readers to the rock star personas. Mat is a good guy and has cared for Selina from an early age. When they all met they were a trio of friends which included Rick even though he didn't sing. Mat toured the world with his band before he returned home. Selina is making a solo name for herself especially in the Latina community. The story contains strife, jealousy, betrayal and cheating. I received a complimentary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading more of this author's books in the future.

Amped is not your "normal" bad boy rocker story. This is more of finding your true self; it's about second chances...at both love and music careers.

Teagan Kade has spun an amazing web of lies, love lost and found, and the death of two music careers--Selena and Mat--all caused by Rick, the friend who grew up with Mat and Selena.

This book resonates with hope, hard work, and love. The back story of Mat's mom also adds another dimension of angst to the story.

Read this book. While somewhat dark, it brings so much hope and love to the mix that the HEA is truly magnificent . ❤️

I could not put this book down. Teagan Kade outdone herself with this book. 5+ stars

Selena and Mat her musicians who just happened to grow up together. They have always like each other but never pursued one another until later on in life. Reading their story about all the trials and tribulations they go through as musicians is just mesmerizing. I felt like I was a fly on the wall watching their lives happen. With tears in my eyes at the ending of this book because I was just so happy for them to come full circle.

Teagan please pat yourself on the back. You clearly have a best seller with this book.
