Harshika has nothing going for her. Not her family, not her circumstances, nor her self! That would be enough to sink the strongest of people. But not her! With dekha jayega as her life’s motto, Harshika turns her life around, to discover that being herself gives her the greatest happiness – despite the fact, that who she is, may not have everyone around her clapping in applause. An irrepressible blogger’s memoir, journey with Harshika as she reveals how she dealt with life’s vagaries to turn them into positives that make her and her family happy!
Dream it. Live it. By Harshika Daryanani, an novel of motivational / self help. I would recommend this for who looses their moral and thinks only their life is a big burden. With only 82 pages there will be more useful ones to learn from author's words and off course from author's life because of it is about full of her life.
The book is generally of author's life story from her childhood to becoming a author. From various stages of life how she overcomes the struggles, regrets, pains and much more.
The book is divided into five parts, the first part is about leaving Hyderabad. As a newly married one she leaves Hyderabad and goes to Singapore with his husband. It well said the struggles that many newly wed females faces from mother in law & mis-understandings with husband also how she struggles with newly born baby without money they probably needs.
The part two is all about how she starts the new life in Dubai and managing both work & home. The book three is said about The Fat years which normally a women gets fat after her pregnancy primarily she has also delivered her second baby.
The part four is the transformations from working women to a blogger to a writer, all through these years she been a avid reader but not given try to writing but the attempt gets victory. Success of writing fulfil her unknown unsatisfactory deep inside.
The part five you can guess probably a thanking note to all the supports she got all these years.
In the end you can get to know whatever goes around, comes around simple belief which made big transformations in author's life..
Apart from story plots the language is simple and lucid very clear. The cover is attractive like a kid viewing the Morden world, the catchy title which gives positive vibes from very start. The quality of book is very good as always of notion press books.
The book is so real, genuine and easy read. You can relate to many things from the book. Not many share their journey. I think it's awesome that you did. Even when things were difficult, you never gave up and always wished for the best. While reading the book, I felt like I was holding a conversation with Harshika. My favorite part in the book is - "My shine does not dim if you shine bright. Together we shine even brighter."
I just finished reading the book a while back and I have to share my reviews of course. BTW I'm chatting with you on WhatsApp at the same time as I'm writing this.
Dream it. Live it. - as the name suggests, it is exactly what's in the book. The book is just so REAL ! It is a book that most of us can relate to for sure. It is extremely well written and a very light read. Kudos to you for opening so much of your life up to public. Not a lot of people can do this. You go girl! And this is just the beginning.
My absolute favorite part of the book are the last 3 lines of Page 73.
"For help me God, I will NEVER intentionally let anyone feel that way, ever! My shine does not dim if you shine bright. Together we shine even brighter."
I don't know you for too long, but this for sure is the Harshika I met, this is the Harshika I know.
Much love Nafisa
p.s. - yes I have been carrying the book on my holiday. I was one of the few lucky ones to get a signed copy from the author herself. But due to crazy work and travel schedule, my review got a tad bit delayed.
Such an amazing and inspiring book. Most people in that situation would have broken down, but not Harshika! I was so happy to read it.. it gives hope to people who are going thru similar things in life... makes readers realize that there can be light at the end of the tunnel after all. Wishing Harshika all the very best in life. May you write 100's of books and inspire 1000's of readers :)
