Three-stars based on the writing, minus one-star for annoying me. Mostly its a sort of type plot with a bit of sci-fi twist (but not much of one). Also the author doesn't think the details of such a plot would be interesting and so skips most of them.

However he doesn't really have anything to replace them with so the plot just sort of meanders around. I liked the setup, we get going pretty quick. Then it gets boring, i think its mostly relying on the charm of the characters.. and they are charming.. too each other, not so much to me.

I thought it was getting more interesting with a sudden change but that actually made very little sense. The sci-fi elements?, i think its about parallel worlds, but it might be just timetravel, the fact i'm not sure is a major issue.

There are some exciting incidents, however i was mostly kept interested by trying to figure out if the whole thing or parts of it where just a dream. Honestly if it had gone all LOST at the end i wouldn't have been surprised. Lots of coincidences and deux ex machinas aswell.

Anyway, its memorable but mostly due to disappointment, confusion and annoyance.

Made available by the Merril Collection.
