With his older brother, Shawn, locked away, Marquis is technically the man of the house, and has to make decisions that will protect his mother and older sister just like he promised his brother he would do. However, with the neighborhood gang leader, Bo, on him to join his crew, and a local murder of his classmates rattling the neighborhood, Marquis finds himself in a corner, confused on what to do, and who to trust. He is faced with the difficult decision of giving into the neighborhood temptations and becoming just another gang banger, or being something much more than just a body in the bricks. With his friend, Bobby, by his side, he goes through a drastic change leading him to the type of person he really is on the inside.
