***Standalone Novel*** In this hot urban drama, sisters Zanobia and Cherise's whole world shatters after a crime of passion. The murder of their parents has turned their lives upside down. Instead of coming together in their time of need, the sisters find themselves growing further and further apart, and unfortunately, before they could even try to reconcile, they were separated and lost connection with each other. Years later, the sisters are reconnected and together they learn a string of deep, dark secrets. People from their past resurfaces and now the odds are in their favor, but there is one problem… the people surrounding them proves that even the ones close to you can deceive you in the blank of an eye. Will the sisters finally come together or will they further hurt their nonexistent relationship or will secrets from the past further destroy the relationship of everyone involved? In this dramatic tale of love and deception, find out why you have to keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Cherise irked me so bad by being selfish and not taking Zanobia's feelings into consideration. Brice simple ass was a sorry excuse for a man and should've known he wasn't built for the street life. I liked Kennard at first but it changed quickly when he started being dumb. Naafis and Judon were a mess and kind of rude but I liked them. Calvin was on some straight bs and I was glad once him and Spencer's skeletons were revealed. It was beyond time for the truth to be revealed so Cherise and Zanobia could have some type of closure. Once greed and jealousy came into play deception was at an all time high and those involved had to face the fact that they had enemies amongst them.
This book had so much potential however fell very short. The descriptions were very poor and the grammar was even worst. I couldn't even half way get into the book because of all the grammatical errors. Like the author just wrote the book and put it out without proof reading first. Then the book could've been wayyyy better, I felt like there were so many gaps and the story filled up at the end. Potentially a good book that needed way more work. I couldn't get into it because the characters weren't even described well. I struggled to get to the end.
I'm still giving it five stars with all the grammatical errors and the use of wrong names. It was just that good. The suspense. The thinking you know what about to happen and it it is totally something else. I really enjoyed this book. I need an after standalone of Naafis and Judon with the girls.
Pretty good book happy that the sisters got back together and the closure they needed kennard got what he deserved and ms Karen got her happily ever after
This is definitely a banger and page turner!!!! Yo you never disappoint. I loved it from the beginning until the end... I can't wait for your next release!!
