Living in God's Best: Don't Settle for Less

Rate this book
Divine health and prosperity are better than divine healing and provision. If you live in divine health and prosperity, you won’t need a miracle to get healed or to pay your bills. If you can’t see the difference between the two, that may be one reason you only visit God’s best instead of truly living in it.

Most Christians live in a place where it’s just a matter of time before there’s a crisis in their lives and they need a miracle. You might think it would be wonderful to go from miracle to miracle, but that means you’d also be going from crisis to crisis!

Miracles are great when you need one, but you weren’t meant to continually get by on them. God wants to change where you live. Let Andrew show you how to live in God’s best today!

Simply Awesome!

This book came highly recommend by a friend and I must say I found the book most rewarding. Written in his usual simple style, Andrew outlined the much needed message in the body of Christ today: Taking hold of all Christ has given to do all He has commissioned us to do.

If you are desperately seeking Gods power in your life, this is a place to start understanding how God can actually work through you to manifest what He has already put in you at the point of salvation by His Son Jesus.

As usual, Andrew Wommack shows how simple the Bible is. From his wise revelation and explanation of Scripture, I understand why things are the way they are in my life. Better yet, I have the tools to change my situation (trust God, meditate on the Word, forgive people, etc.).

Living as Blessed

Great perspective on the fact that we don’t earn God’s blessings. They have been given freely. We simply receive them and share them.

First off, I am not questioning this author's faith or belief in God. I just don't agree with some of what he says here. In particular the health issue. Let me quote " if somebody today goes to believing for good eyesight without glasses, people label them a fanatic, weirdo or freak. They'll ask 'What's wrong with you.' That's what I'm asking: What's wrong with you? You aren't even believing for God's best. You've accepted something inferior. Is God mad at you because you have glasses? No. I am saying that you aren't believing for God's best. You've accepted second, third, or fourth best and you are content to be there."

I believe in miracles and believe all things are possible through God but I don't think God is going to heal my astigmatism so I no longer need glasses just because I want that. He provides what we need, not what we want.
And not every answer from God is a yes for the best. We learn a lot about ourselves and about our faith when we have to deal with the adversity that life brings to us. That includes illness.

While I agree with the author's views on not going into debt, I also have a sense of uneasiness in this book with his limited discussion of his construction of the church and various buildings used in his ministry. He turned down a bank loan because he thought God does not want him to be in debt and then he started on the project anyway and miraculously God provided the money. That is wonderful. But I don't think people in their personal finances should take that kind of risk and am concerned about how those sections would be read. I cannot recommend this book.

I received a free copy of this book from Goodreads but my opinions are my own.

This is an amazing book! I’ve been listening to Andrew Wommack for several years now. This will be a book that I will need to revisit at least once a year.

Truly Andrew Womack is one of the most encouraging and spiritually grounded teachers in the gospel of grace. This book gives such a clear understanding of living in God’s best not sporadically but in every day life.

Most concise little book of encouragement for the believer!

Did not expect this book to impact me as it has.

Andrew Wommack's teachings are down to earth and easy to understand. This book has taught me so much more than I've ever learned in church, and I can't thank the author enough for providing this tool to help me enrich and grow my personal relationship with Father God, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. I have incorporated this book into my daily readings and bible study.
