The perfect way to ruin a holiday...

Victoria Beaumont was looking forward to relaxing on Mackinac island at the family's summer home.

But all thoughts of relaxing fled when she discovered that her father, Charles, had invited Dirk Ramsey. His ruthless newspaper articles threatened to damage Charles's political career. Perhaps if Dirk got to know the Beaumonts better he would change his views.

Victoria didn't want to know him better. True, Dirk Ramsey was the most attractive man she'd ever met--but any interest he showed in her was purely for the sake of journalism!

"Enemy in Camp" is the story of Victoria and Dirk.

SO GOOD!

A sexy, banter filled battle of wills between the H and h.

The h is a rich heiress, the H a revered reporter. His articles about their family enrage her, and when her father invites him to their island to spend two weeks, she is mighty mad!
They start off on a feisty note, with them challenging each other at every turn. But their chemistry is too hot to deny. Soon love blooms, but will their differences overpower their emerging feelings?

This was awesome! A strong h and H who complement each other, and totally are a match for each other's wits. I liked how the H dealt with her family, and especially her smitten sister. The h on the other hand took time to understand the H's perspective, and the book ends on a super sweet note.

100% recommended and SO HOT!

The 'hero' in this one is really seedy. His dick is aching, and he wants to have sex with the heroine no matter what. He pushes her about, comes onto her 16 year old sister to make her jealous, he rants and raves and shouts when she doesn't give in, he then issues an ultimatum and when that doesn't work he flounces out of her life like a fucking child. When he isn't trying to force/trick her into having sex with him he's pouting hard with sour grapes because she's rich and he isn't.

He's so rude and disrespectful and downright pathetic, he reminded me of the disgusting older men I had to endure in my youth who whined and wheedled at you to have sex with them, and then called you a frigid bitch when you try to say no. Vomit.

Not great. The hero was a complete jerk. The story just limped along. Too much banter about rich/poor
