Well I thoroughly enjoyed this story and particularly loved the hero Rollo (although I didn’t like his name!) and the heroine Daisy. Too often in Mills and Boon, I find myself loving the hero but disliking the heroine - or vice versa. It was fabulous to have 2 characters who were developed equally by the writer.

The development of their initial connection into real love was handled extremely well as it felt authentic! Rollo’s back story actually did explain his reservations and I loved the way Daisy could see how they had affected him. My only reservation was the heroine’s determination to see Rollo’s confession as a rejection of her. After the way she had dealt with him before, it would have made sense for her to confront him at the Dunmores house rather than run away. However, that’s a minor flaw. Another fabulously entertaining read from Louise Fuller.

Loved the blackmail premise and the way Rollo put Daisy in her place right away as a thief! Also love how she got closer to him little by little until their roles were basically reversed. By the end he practically worships her!

The only complaint I have, and it's not really a complaint, is that it's easy to see the author is an Englishwoman writing about America from the outside looking in. The way she describes New York City (and the Adirondacks) makes them sound more like places in a guidebook than places she's actually lived. But this was the only flaw in a lovely reading experience!

PS One year later: I enjoyed this book so much I grabbed REVENGE AT THE ALTAR the moment I saw it at WalMart!

Blackmailed Down the Aisle by Louise Fuller is a sensual and entertaining romance featuring a handsome and arrogant billionaire and a down to earth waitress who finds herself making a deal with the devil. Daisy Maddox will do anything for her twin brother David. Both of them work for Fleming Enterprises, but David’s gambling problems have escalated, such that he’d made a terrible mistake. He’d stolen a watch from their boss, Rollo Fleming, when he’d seen it in Rollo’s office. He’d had the intention of selling it to pay off some of his debts, but immediate remorse had set in upon going home, and he’d shared what he did with his sister Daisy.

Daisy came to live with her brother six months ago, still trying to find an acting job but settling for waitressing at Fleming events in the interim. She’s got a chance to return the watch to Rollo’s office during a late night party, and she’d have been successful – if the boss hadn’t returned home unexpectedly and surprised her in his office. Daisy’s attempts to lie her way out of trouble fail when Rollo reveals that he’d already known about David’s theft. But Rollo has an offer for her that she can’t refuse. He’s been trying to buy a building from a company whose owner places a lot of weight on family commitments in his business dealings. A wife is just what he needs to prove he values the same things. Rollo won’t press charges against David, or Daisy, if she’ll agree to marry him! It’s blackmail, pure and simple, and Daisy doesn’t have any other choice. But as they spend time together, the lines between pretense and reality blur. Can their fake relationship turn into something real?

❤TÍTULO: "Novia a la fuerza"
❤AUTORA: Louise Fuller
❤AÑO DE PUBLICACIÓN: 2017
❤AUDIOLIBRO: Canal: Mundoaudiolibro (YouTube)

Happily Ever After all the angst, sexual tension, and doing everything for family. I'm sure this is fantasy because there are more people that wouldn't do what she did for family because of the repercussions to their life. Well written and it is my type of romance story.

Good writing but it feels like a patchwork of various storylines I read this year. Please read other reviews to balance this.

First her brother had a gambling habit and stole from his employer, a few books had the same kick-off, or a variation. Then Rello demands she marries her because he needs to impress some potential seller that he should be sold the home. I've already come across the story line one or twice this year. So it felt I already knew where this was going, there was no mystery. I know authors reuse tropes and storylines all the time, but if felt like that in this book, if that makes sense? It felt flat.

Daisy Maddox would do anything for her brother. More than just her brother, he's her twin, and she knows she must save him. Even though it puts herself at risk. Especially her heart.

Rollo Fleming is used to a dramatic flair from a woman. His mother had been one to use and manipulate, leaving him alone with his father. Taking his sister from his life. He does not want an actress in his life. But, he is sure Daisy can help him to win against the man stopping him from fulfilling his father's wish. A settled down man with a woman to love is just the image needed. And Daisy owes him.

Received through GoodReads First Reads for reviewing - thank you.
It was an okay read but I would have preferred the main female character to have been stronger, more positive in how she thought and what she did. Rollo, the male lead, was a more rounded character.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There's nothing like a Harlequin. Rollo and Daisy have come to an understanding. Blackmail and deception are the name of the game. Or is it love? A great read!

This book was a very enjoyable read. The two main characters had intriguing backgrounds and the developing dynamics between them made the book difficult to put down.

I never really warmed to the guy. His damage was understandable, but he treated the woman badly for too long.

Una historia que comenzó con una buena premisa pero que lamentablemente dejó mucho que desear con sus si y no, demasiado drama para mi gusto y una falta de romanticismo en la trama y que decir de lo poco convincente que fue él personaje masculino. No me gusto.
