Kathryn Springer grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, where her parents published a weekly newspaper. As a child, she spent many hours sitting at her mother’s typewriter, plunking out stories, and credits her parents for instilling in her a love of books – which eventually turned into a desire to tell stories of her own.
After a number of busy years, when she married her college sweetheart and became a stay-at-home mom, Kathryn rediscovered her love for writing. An unexpected snow day from school became the inspiration for a short story, which she submitted to Brio magazine. She went on to publish over a dozen more short stories for Brio, but it wasn’t until her youngest child started school that she decided to pursue her dream to write a book. In August 2004, her Love Inspired® debut novel, Tested by Fire, was published.
Fast forward to today and Kathryn has written over thirty novels. She lives on a lake in northern Wisconsin where she enjoys long walks in the woods and the change of seasons (although sometimes she wishes the "change" between winter and spring didn't last quite so long!) When she isn’t at the computer, you’ll find her spending time with family and friends, paging through cooking magazines or sitting in the sun. A really, really good day includes all three! I wasn't sure what I would rate this book, I alternated between 3 and 4 stars, but the ending was so cute that it made it easy to decide on a solid 4 stars.
I haven't read the first book in this series and I think that might have contributed a little to the lost feeling I had a couple times. I feel like I would have loved the story had I been familiar with the prior story and town/characters. Still, I did really enjoy it for the most part.
All in all, a good Love Inspired story and I look forward to the next book in the series...now that I know the characters, I cannot wait to see what happens next...
*I received a complimentary eBook copy of this book for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review, only my honest opinion...which I've done.*
Liam comes from a rough childhood, but after he and his two brothers were taken in by a Castle Falls couple, they had a home and family that could be relied on. There are others in the community that don't let the stain of his past go, and old prejudices interfere with Anna and Liam's blossoming friendship. I liked how one small experience shifted the tides for them, and they began to interact at a deeper level than before when they always had their guard up. they have a sweet chemistry that is not founded on looks or physical attraction, but a much more meaningful connection of long-held feelings of yearning. Old secrets come to light with Anna's past, but also with the three Kane brothers. I'm excited to read more in the series!

Matchmaking mischief is at the heart of this inspirational contemporary romance. And it's coming from all sides as Liam and Anna are besieged by wily and not-so-subtle set-ups. The sweetest pair of matchmakers are Anna's twin girls. They are cuteness personified and easily capture Liam's heart. But he's got some messed up ideas about how his past will affect his future so he's one very reluctant hero. Anna isn't much better, burdened with secrets she won't be free of until they see the light of day. A tenuous love story fueled by faith and hope.

A heartwarming tale of two little girls who decide it is time they had Daddy and have picked out the man they believe is perfect for the position. A clean heartwarming story with a faith based thread through the story. Both leads have abusive past and have developed into warm giving people. They share a personal past that they need to resolve. Two little girls wanting the two together, friends and family have thrown their support behing the cause as well.
My rating of "The Bachelor's Twins - Castle Falls" is 4.5 out of 5 stars.
After reading a Lyn Cote trilogy that was so awful I was weeping for what she had once been as a writer, I picked up this series from my shelf. I'm missing one (the first book), but I'll go back and get it, later. Definitely.
Because this. Was. SOOO. MUCHBETTER Thank heavens for Kathryn Springer.
It's a lovely series about three brothers who were adopted by a Christian couple living in Michigan's U.P. ((<< upper peninsula)) As someone who grew up there, has tromped around Miner's Castle and hiked to Castle Falls, I *LOVED* getting back 'home', so to speak. I've even canoed out to Lake Superior, so I know the lay of the land of this book.
In this story, Liam is the 'glue' that has held the boys together all of these years, but as such, he feels he's given all he has and putting himself out any further than that would possibly break him and he would become like his father - something he refuses to ever do. So he holds himself away from everyone.
Until his high school crush returns to town. They had a tiff over her abusive boyfriend back in senior year, and have avoided each other since, but now things have changed, and with the help of his matchmaking mama, Anna's twin daughters and a litter of kittens, Liam doesn't stand a chance.
There are only two things I disliked about this book (and withdrew a star for). The first is the cover. EVERY. ONE. OF. THESE BROTHERS has dark, nearly black hair. *WHY* is the guy on the front blond?!?!?!??! Same thing with the next book, too. GAHHH!!
And the second thing was the ending. We built up to this really wonderful, romantic moment, and *BAM!!!* Kiss and the end, kthxbye. There was no romantic 'exhale' there was no *zing*. It only would've taken just a T.I.N.Y. paragraph more, just a sentence or two to leave us breathless.
I'm beginning to think 'Love, Inspired' cheats its readers on purpose. It's like this whole sadistic thing they have, calling themselves 'inspirational romance' but then stabbing any romantic moment in the heart.
Ah, well. I guess we either take what we can get, or we go secular to keep Melissa Endlich from chopping up and decimating the 'magic moment' at the end, eh?
The Bachelor's Twins was an excellent read. Kathryn Springer never disappoints. Back in Castle Falls we meet hardworking single mom Anna Leighton and her twin daughters, Cassie and Chloe (who kind of steal the show, they are super cute and matchmakers to boot!). The hero, Liam Kane has a past with Anna, but it isn't what you'd expect. They weren't high-school sweethearts, not by a long shot. But the conflict between Liam and Anna is real, yet both remember that pivotal night differently ~ which is why the conflict is able to be sustained for an entire novel.
I also liked the little subplot of her running the ice cream store because she was expected to and because it was in the family, but her dream and passion was making jewelry. Fun and quick read, page-turner. I'd highly recommend!
A BUY BUY BUY BOOK! I so enjoyed this book. It was a story with faith, hope and love. It was one to be cherished and to be smiled at while you enjoyed it. Each step of the book has warmth and love bound within its words. This is the first that I can remember reading from this author. However, it will not be the last. I can only say buy the book, it is a wonderful example of Gods Love showing faith in a world of wickedness. Showing romance as well as family and values. I was given this book in return for a honest review. Anna
I really enjoyed this title. It is a fast easy read. I read the 1st book in the series and I am looking forward to the next. I just hope we do't have to wait so long.
Anna is the single mother of Twins that purchase a birthday present of a day in the wilderness with their mom and the guide Liam. The twins have help matchmaking with their mother and liam who have a history from High School.
I highly recommend this title. It is well worth the time to read. You will be glad you do. It is very uplifting.
I read this book because I LOVE This author after reading all of her novels, I wasn't aware that she wrote a tone of novellas , I think that's what they are called so I thought I would give it a shot. I wish she would write more novels but I truly did enjoy this sweet story especially loved the twin girls and their interaction with one of the main characters Liam. i found myself smiling many times. I loved the storyline and thought the author did a good job describing each Liam's and the twins mother Anna's pasts. it was a very enjoyable read!
I just love Kathryn Springer's books! Such a relief to have found a Christian author who writes romance that is laugh out loud funny and NOT disturbingly sexual the way most popular Christian women seem to write today. This was a good mix of tension, humor and character development. I can feel Springer getting stronger in her writing with each subsequent book over time. Her writing feels true and you can just imagine a lot of the conversations happening in real life. Looking forward to what her next book will be after The Gathering Table (fave!) 🤗
Anna's twins are trying to find a Daddy. Will they succeed or nor. And guess who they want it to be.
Anna and Liam were friends in high school. Liam tried to tell her that Ross, her boyfriend, was not good for her but she wanted no parts of that. They had a big fight over it and now hardly ever speak all these years later.
Is there a chance they could have a future together. Check it out and see for yourself. Loved the story
The Kane brothers, Bredan, Liam and Aiden loved their lives in Castle Falls. A lot of things were happening with the business, Brendan and Lily were married, they are searching for the sister they did not know they had, Aiden ( the youngest) is all into himself, and Liam the middle boy is working out feelings out about Anna, his high school crush. Read and enjoy the next episode of the boys lives.
This is a sweet romance with kids as matchmakers and second chances. It is safe and predictable, but heartwarming nonetheless. Readers who like Inspys that leave them with a contented smile should enjoy this one.
I'm playing catchup with reviews I should have posted in April or early May. I've had some health issues and fell behind on my review schedule.
I enjoy the setting of this series a lot. While I enjoyed this book, I did not enjoy this one as much as the first in this series. She does s good job of keeping you interested in the next installment. There a missing element between the main characters for me.
Anna was valditorian and dated the great guarterback and eloped to marry. Liam warned her about how abusive Ross was and hoped to spare her hurt but after 10 years and Ross dying 6;years ago Anna is back home. Liam has always loved her but knew because of his past Anna was way out of his league. But...love changes everyone
Placing God and faith as the center of your life despite experiencing child abuse and domestic violence. Thankful for loving foster parents to care and love troubled children.
There are so many emotions in this story. There are sad times, funny times, sweet times and times surprising times. I really enjoyed reading this book Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Two adorable, match-making twins? I felt outdoors during several scenes and loved the rugged hero, Liam. Favorite quote: "Where you look is where you go."
This was a fun and easy read. Anna's twins were delightful and I loved every moment they had in the book. The romance part of the book was sweet and sort of slowly happened, but then once it started things went very quickly. I wished that Anna and Liam communicated better with each other, so many of the issues that happened wouldn't have had they spoken to each other instead of jumping to conclusions. The Bachelor's Twins can easily be read as a standalone, but I do hope to read the first book in this series someday (whenever I can get a copy) and plan on reading the last book next month.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was asked to give my honest opinion of the book - which I have done.
A wonderfully written sweet story that had me smiling. I enjoyed the characters, the Kane brothers had an amazing bond, I loved the setup of the small town and the businesses both the Kanes and Leighton's were running. The story had such a strong undercurrent of faith and hope, it truly was inspirational and uplifting to read. The different Love Inspired lines of books from Harlequin are Christian faith-based stories. I admired how that aspect of faith in God was dealt with in this story. All the characters had a strong, trusting, obvious relationship with God. They relaid on Him during the good and the bad moments, they inner thoughts often prayers to God to be in charged of the instant they were in. This was a lovely romance story written to Christians who enjoy romance and like their books to reflect those same values and morals as themselves hold dear, there's no preaching or lecturing, just sweet small town romance filled with hope and faith. Anna Leighton was a dynamic lady, a business woman, an artist, and a mom. Her kind heart and easy trust had been shattered during her marriage, the ultimate betrayal a secret she held close to her heart. To be able to move on she had to face the truth, and to be honest about the abuse in the young marriage. Liam Kane and his brothers knew all about abuse, they childhood had been filled with it. Yet they had grown to be examples of a good, solid, God-loving men of faith. I loved Liam, he had such kind, understanding, caring, generous spirit, the biggest heart ever. His feelings towards Anna had been growing ever since he first met her in school, 'she was like a sun', he thought at one point. Anna and Liam's connection had a wrinkle they had to fix. The friendship was fragile, but thankfully they had the community and families around them who were pushing them together every chance they got. I enjoyed the twists in the plot, the conflicts were all heartfelt and real, the twins were adorable, and new information the brothers got regarding their biological family gave a taste of intrigue to the tale. The Bachelor's Twins was a precious romance and thought-provoking story that I adored! ~ Four Spoons with a teaspoon on the side
The Bachelor's Twins by Kathryn Springer a Castle Falls series. The second book in the series. The first book was a year ago. I don't really remember it. It's about three brothers who are adopted. This one is about Liam Kane. Anna Leighton has been back in town for several years but she avoids Liam. Sh has had feeling for him since school but she married a football player and moved out of town. He died and now she is back home with twin 8 year old girls. The girls and Liam's mother are sneaking about getting Liam and Anna together. It is a funny romance book.
