Tempting Kate by Jennifer Snow is one of two stand alone romances Jennifer released with Harlequin Blaze. They are a little steamier than some of her other books and I enjoyed them both so much.

wedding planner

We first met Kate Hartley in the book, Her Holiday Fling. She was the sister of the hero in that book and was left at the alter at her destination wedding. Now she gets her own story. Kate owns her own wedding planner business, Belle Affairs. But ever since her own disaster of a wedding, clients have deserted her. Her business is hanging on by a thread. But with her newest well known client, she has one more chance to save everything. The wedding needs to go perfectly, if only the groom’s brother didn’t want to ruin everything.

big bear lake resort

Scott Dillon owns West Mountain Resort in Big Bear Lake, California. He bought the resort for a great deal and put everything he had in renovating it. But now, he was struggling to fill the rooms. He was barely hanging on. At the same time, his brother was getting married. There was something Scott’s brother didn’t know about his fiancé that might change everything. Scott was determined that his brother know the truth before he said those two words at the alter.

“She was the sexiest woman he’d ever wanted to dislike.”

wedding in a resort ballroom - Google Search

Both Scott and Kate have been hurt in the past, both have businesses that are floundering, and both have an investment in the upcoming nuptials, one needs the wedding to happen, and one is determined to stop it. What Scott and Kate didn’t plan on was an attraction to each other that they couldn’t deny. What started out as just a sexual attraction grew to something more. But could either of them let their past experiences go and give the other a chance?

“Kate was different. Somehow she’d crawled under his skin, penetrated to his core, the way no other woman had.”

Young attractive couple relax in hot tub in spa center.

I enjoyed this so much. The chemistry between these two was through the roof. They were perfect for each other. But with all the obstacles and doubts they both harbored, I really was worried they wouldn’t find their way. I loved the ending to this. The only thing more I might have liked is an epilogue to see how they were doing. Because I do love epilogues. I have read both of Jennifer’s Harlequin Blaze books and definitely recommend both of them.

Not being a regular reader of romance, this is the first book by Jennifer Snow that I have read. After reading the last page, I knew it wouldn't be my last.
From the beginning, the author painted a detailed picture of each character, as well as the setting. The scene was set for an engaging story. I definitely didn't feel like this was a cookie cutter romance novel. There were some elements of the book that I didn't see coming and that was what made it stand out to me. There were definitely some scenes where sparks were flying and it wouldn't be a bad idea to read this book while sipping some wine with no distractions.
If you're looking for a book that includes a magical fairytale with perfect characters and a predictable storyline then LOOK ELSEWHERE. If you're searching for a tale that includes some sizzling scenes, real people with spirit and relatable personalities, then this book is for you!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.

Saya anggap WO saja yg utama krn cerita intinya memang ttg aktivitasnya sbg WO pasangan Hollywood terkenal. Hollywood memang penuh bintang glamor sekaligus menyimpan skandal. Begitu pula mempelai wanitanya ternyata pernah punya affair.

Lagian, utk apa mempertaruhkan karier dgn ikut campur urusan pribadi orang lain? That's makes no sense. Sudahlah... malesin banget!

What a great story!

Scott and Kate both had bad experiences that have turned them against relationships. Their chemistry is there from the very fist time they meet, the sex is good, but still neither of them want to face how they truly feel for each other. They both deserve better than what they have dealt with in their past. Amy was a cheater and Cooper was just plain CrAzY.

This story was written really good and ended with an HEA and no cliffhanger.

Great story that is super sexy and fun! Great characters, writing and pace made this a very enjoyable read.

There is no bigger hit to a wedding planner's business than to have your own wedding implode and find yourself left at the altar during your destination wedding. That's exactly what happened to Kate Hartley. Now, finally, she has the wedding that might save her business. Nothing can go wrong at this Hollywood A-lister wedding. Nothing!! So getting the groom's brother under control is job one. Scott Dillon is not so easy to handle though!

I highly recommend this one.

I am SO happy Kate got her HEA!!!

I met Kate in the previous book, Her Holiday Fling (which you should totally read…Chase is HOT). Her almost-husband left her at the alter for no good reason and crushed her.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to think of Kate in the last book, but I got to know her better in this one and I loved her! She is the embodiment of “sassy,” and some of the exchanges she had with Scott had me laughing out loud.

Scott was some kind of sexy. Holy cow. The first interaction between him and Kate in the hot tub…good gracious! And his final scene in the book left me with a big happy smile, smooth talker that he is.

I was sO happy that things worked out for both of them, I absolutely love this series, and I can’t wait to read more of it!!!

A really enjoyable story
5 stars

This is the follow on story from Jennifer Snow’s last book, and another in the Wild Wedding Nights series, Her Holiday Fling. You don’t have to have read that one to enjoy this one, although it does help you understand Kate’s own disastrous almost-wedding.

This is a fairly simple story. Boy and girl meet and sparks fly. Then more sparks, this time in irritation, when they realise how they are connected. Then, what should just be angry or emotionless sex turns into something a little more complicated. Because of this, and because of the smooth writing style, it’s a quick read that's very enjoyable.

I liked Kate - she’s got a vulnerability but at her heart she’s a confident, no-nonsense woman who goes out and gets exactly what she wants. I didn’t identify with her but I did like her. Scott, however, I loved from the first moment that the author likened him to Henry Cavill - swoon! Seriously though, he was a fun, at times grumpy, cheeky, stubborn man who was the perfect foil for Kate. I enjoyed them together, too - their chemistry just smouldering enough to make the love scenes give you that flip in your tummy.

The storyline of the 'secret' that Liz (the bride-to-be) is keeping was an interesting one. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it and wasn’t sure if I should be angry, jealous, annoyed…I guess I was feeling exactly the same was that Kate was supposed to be feeling so the author did a great job with that one.

If I had one complaint about this book it’s that I always want an epilogue. Show me the couple a month, year, 5 years into their relationship. It adds so much but is left out so often. But other than that, this was a really enjoyable book that’s a light and quick read. 5 stars.

This review contains possible spoilers.

Tempting Kate by Jennifer Snow technically follows Her Holiday Fling, but it completely stands alone and does not end on a cliffhanger. You do not have to have read that book to understand and enjoy this one.

This book is a really great read. Kate and Scott both have issues with commitment, but from the moment they first meet in person, the chemistry between these two shines through and I found myself settling in for what promised to be a really fun ride. And it very much was. Both main characters were incredibly likable and they were both so feisty that I found myself actually chuckling out loud while reading their banter. This is a 'Blaze' book and this one lives up to that brand - the chemistry between Scott and Kate was blazing, and the sex scenes were hot.

Kate was something of a hot mess who was barely holding it together, but she was the kind of hot mess that I really want to be friends with. In the previous book, Kate had been left at the alter by her (no good) fiance and as a “wedding planner to the stars”, that was disaster for her business. Her only hope to resurrect her career is a wedding that is fraught with drama and difficulties. I really, really liked Kate and the way that she handled everything from the wedding singer's demands (which led to what might just be my favorite interaction between Scott and Kate) to the grouchy brother of the groom. *slight SPOILERS to end of this one paragraph* I also thought how she handled Cooper was perfect. I was glad that she didn't turn into a damsel in distress, but instead dealt with it her way.

Scott was everything I want in a book boyfriend. In this day of men acting like bullying jerks and being called 'alpha', Scott just was a genuinely good guy who'd had his trust shattered by someone that he trusted but who didn't deserve it. And while that betrayal resulted in his having built strong walls around himself to keep others from ever being able to hurt him again and he was prickly, he was never a jerk or a bully, he was just...adorably grumpy. The thing that I liked most about him wasn't how sexy he was, or how hilarious he was, but it was how much he loved his brother; how much he wanted to *protect* his brother. I will admit that I wasn't sure how that particular story line was going to play out, and even right up until the ultimate conclusion I didn't know how I would feel about it, but I think that the conclusion was perfect. I don't want to spoil anything, but I loved the 'big scene', even as my heart broke for Kate.

If you like a big gruff leading man with a gooey center, a heroine who knows what she wants *and* who can take care of herself, incredible banter between characters, smoking hot sex scenes, and a really good story you have to read this book.

I requested and was generously granted an ARC of this book and was under absolutely no obligation to write this review. I wrote it because I adored Scott and Kate and their story.

I thought it was great how quickly the story got going and especially how the plot moved along with no slow parts. We are introduced to Kate and she has had her confidence knocked badly by her ex fiancé. I loved how she was trying to rebuild both her life and her business after the actions of the man she once loved. Kate is independent and strong which are great personality traits, I was definitely rooting for her.

Scott is the perfect love interest he's smart, strong and protective of his brother. I think I probably fell a little bit for him too! I loved the interactions that Kate and Scott shared they were at times fun but packed full of flirting! However with Scott trying to throw the wedding off course can Scott and Kate find their happy ever after?

I loved the setting of Big Bear for the wedding it really was the perfect place for a wedding. Then of course to see Kate and Scott trying to contain their sizzling chemistry aswell as a few secrets along the way. This book was fun, flirty and pretty sizzling at times but also had a lovely heart warming feel to it. I pretty much read Tempting Kate in two sittings it was perfect to unwind with and forget all about your day!

Flirty, sizzling & lots of fun!

Thank you so much to Jennifer Snow for my copy. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.

Finally a happy ending for Kate! If you read the first book in the series, you will definitely recognize her as the one who was jilted at the altar on her destination wedding in Maui. What a bummer right? In the end, not so much! The jilting ex turns out to be even worse than we thought, and she winds up stumbling across a keeper of a man in the end! They are funny together, yet oh so steamy when it's sexy time! Loved them together.

Kate Hartley's career as wedding planner to the stars has suffered horribly since her own wedding failed to go off without a hitch. She's trying everything to repair her reputation, and when she's finally handed the opportunity of a lifetime, she won't let anything get in the way of a perfectly executed wedding!

Scott Dillon is the upcoming groom's brother, as well as the owner of the resort where they want to hold the wedding. He wants nothing more than his brother's happiness but he knows the bride-to-be is keeping a big secret from him that has to come out ... or he can't let the wedding go on!

Kate and Scott fight like cats and dogs, but they have a heat between them that they can't control! As they reluctantly grow closer, will they each be able to see the other's point of view and come to a meeting of the minds that won't ruin the wedding ... and her business?

There are several terrific authors writing books to this Wild Wedding Nights series bon't worry if this is the first book you choose to read. All of the stories in the series work very well as stand alone romances with the sexy heat you expect from the Harlequin Blaze line of books. Wedding planner, Kate Hartley, was left at the altar almost a year ago and she's funneling all of that hurt and frustration into a last ditch attempt to save her career. It's make it or break it time so although there are huge obstacles she agrees to take on a Hollywood "It" couple and their last minute destination wedding. She has six short weeks to pull it off and she's not going to let Scott Dillon, the big and brawny brother of the groom who is determined to stop his brother's wedding, stand in her way. The stubborn clash of wills between Kate and Scott made this a super sexy I-can't-wait-to-find-out-what-happens-next adventure that I finished in one sitting because the sparks between this couple were electric right from the start. Kate is great under pressure but she's wildly attracted to Scott and that delightful sexual tension between them becomes a huge complication for them both. This is a fast paced storyline with interesting and colorful characters and plenty of wedding planning details that gave the story added depth and made it very enjoyable for me. I happily rate it 5 stars! I read a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

3.5-4 stars.

This was fun!

Here we meet Kate and Scott. Kate is planning the wedding of the year between two very famous Hollywood people (one of them is Scott’s brother). So of course she wants things to go great to revitalize her career as a wedding planner. This would be perfect if it weren’t for Scott being a stubborn jerk, lol.

I loved Kate and Scott’s interactions. They might’ve started as something physical but little by little we learn they both carry some baggage and a few secrets. I was always contemplating how things could work after Kate’s job was done, since their lives were in different places. I was happy with the ending of the story and happier with these two finally opening up to each other.

There was a bit of drama, but nothing too over the top; and a secret I couldn’t wait to come out, lol.

All in all, a fun read!

"Tempting Kate" (Wild Wedding Nights Series) by Jennifer Snow

Jennifer Snow has written a classic Harlequin novel full of angst, unresolved issues, conflict, lust, and love between the main and minor characters.

Her novel is a fun, flirty, and enjoyable read. Her characters are well developed and relatable; the storyline is interesting and covers some everyday issues like infidelity and stalking. It is well developed and engaging. The novel is one worth reading and I would recommend within the romance genre.

(Side Note: There are a few spicy scenes, but they do not inundate the novel, nor are they inappropriate or extreme in detail.)

Wow. Loved this book.
Steamy, hot and full of sexual tension. Snow manages to keep the story tense and interesting yet always positive and upbeat, even when the characters are stressed and upset. With humorous interchanges between the character that reveal so much about their characters, this book kept me chuckling and desperately rooting for them to find their happy ever after.
The plot moved quickly and the sex was integral to the plot rather than feeling like filler.
Well written. Read it in one sitting.

For Kate, image is everything. Just ask her quickly tanking career and her equally broken heart. A broken engagement has her life spiraling out of control. Can a Hollywood power couple save her rep as a wedding planner or will she end up risking more than her business? Tempting Kate takes it's cues from cinematic gold and creates a highly entertaining romantic comedy. Love, laughter and hopefully happily ever after. I could not ask for more.

Such a great book!! The story, writing, heart were all in this book! We met Kate in the previous book when she was left the morning of her wedding. This is disastrous for a wedding planner. When she gets the chance to plan an A lister's wedding, she can't fail. But the groom's brother doesn't want the wedding to take place, much less hold it at his resort. Can Kate convince Scott to cooperate with the hopes of saving her career or will secrets ruin everything?

Ten months ago, wedding planner Kate was on the verge of starting her own HEA. Unfortunately, the day of the wedding, her fiance, Cooper, vanished. No, he wasn't abducted, there was no concern for foul play. He left willingly, leaving Kate to pick up the pieces. She's since worked toward assuring others she can still provide the happiest day of their lives, even though she didn't get hers. The upcoming celebrity wedding for the "it couple" is her way to ensure others begin relying on her services, without any doubt of her abilities, once again, therefore saving her business.

Scott, brother of Derek, the groom, is adamant that Derek is making the biggest mistake of his life. However, Derek wants to have the wedding at Scott's resort, Big Bear. Scott will do anything to get this wedding cancelled. He knows it may hurt his brother to hear the truth, but he'd rather he know now. When Kate calls regarding the event, his usual snarky attitude shines through. He didn't realize how stubborn, and gorgeous, Kate was though. When he first sees her, unaware of her identity, he immediately sees them getting to know one another.

Kate is all for that one on one interaction with the sexy man...until she learns he's the one that hung up on her, the person standing in her way of accomplishing the necessary goals for this wedding, which will in turn save Kate's business. Kate is determined to see this through, and maybe they can still have some fun together, but then Scott drops a bomb on her...the reason he's trying to stop the wedding.

What is Scott's secret? Who will tell Derek the truth? Will the wedding happen, saving Kate's company? Or will Scott get his way by saving his brother future heartache? How can Scott choose between saving Derek or Kate, albeit in different ways? Can the love Scott and Kate have found endure the outcome? Or will their time together just become a cherished memory?

One-click now and follow along as two people meet and discover an everlasting love.

On a purely personal note, I would've preferred Scott's secret was something else, though I admittedly had a feeling what it would be based upon the blurb. Also, Scott was a playboy, and no, that is not a "hero" in my opinion, and though I understand why he was written that way, heck, it's what got him in this situation to begin with, I just prefer the main male character to not be this type of man. (No, that isn't a spoiler. We learn pretty early on what happened.) Lastly, if the wedding goes through, and Scott and Kate end up together, Kate will forever have to see the other woman, knowing she slept with her man. I don't like that in books. It's way too icky and close too comfort for me. These points in no way detract from the author's talent, they're just my own personal preference and having them as a part of the book impacted my enjoyment. But please, read for yourself because not everyone has the same issues I do. With that being said, I will continue reading future books by her as they catch my attention.

**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**

Kate has a successful wedding planner business until her fiance left her at the alter at her luxurious Maui wedding. Now she's struggling to keep her business afloat but now, she has a contract for a big, celebrity wedding that might turn things around for her - but it won't be easy. She only has 6 weeks to do everything, the resort's drop dead sexy owner and the groom's brother is determined that the wedding won't happen and he shares a secret with the bride that just might blow the whole thing out of the water. To make matters worse, the ex who left her at the alter a year ago had now decided he wants her back, and he's not about to take no for an answer.
Tempting Kate is a heart-warming romance novel with a bright, independent, funny heroine and a hot, sexy bachelor hero, both recovering from romantic failures that have made them jaded and cautious of trusting their hearts. Ms Snow gives them a convincing canvass, alternating between the big city glitter of Beverley Hills and the sleepy mountain town of Big Bear and crafts a brilliant counterpoint between the growing attraction of Kate and resort owner Scott and the relationship between the prospective bride and groom, slowly revealed in peek-a-boo scenes throughout the story. Will Kate and Scott end up together? Will Scott and Liz spill their secret? Will the big wedding even happen? Snow's expert story-telling will keep you guessing until the very last chapter and loving every minute of suspense.

We met the heroine in Her Holiday Fling, where she was left at the altar by her fiancé. My heart hurt for Kate when she realized that Cooper would never come.

A jilted wedding planer is certainly not good for business. Kate absolutely need to go through with the wedding she's planning for a famous couple if she wants to save her career. Her biggest problem? The brother's groom. She have to convince the reluctant man to host the marriage ceremony at his lodge and then try to not get in over her head with the crazy attraction she feels for him. But before they embark on a no string attached fling, they have to get over a not so good first impression when they talk on the phone for the first time and a little bit of flirting (without knowing who they are) when he rescue her after her car handed in a ditch.

All Scott wanted was a plane, to come forward with his project of pick-up and drop off service for the people of Big Bear. But the cargo was coming with a non-negotiating deal: you take the plane, you get the ski Resort too. Now the business is in the red and even if the big event could bring them a lot of publicity, Scott have reason to think the ceremony should not happen.

Jennifer Snow is a good storyteller and give good background story to her characters. The main reason why this one didn't work for me is because I didn't connect with the protagonists. Plus the whole Cooper thing didn't seem believable to me. And why didn't Scott just told the truth already to his brother and be done with it ? I understand part of his reasoning, but it made him seem jugmental and hypocritical that he condamn Liz for hiding their past one night stand from his brother when he's doing the exact same thing. It was never really clear if Liz was with Derek at the time or not, but from Scott's point of view it was cheating so I'm not pleased that he decided not to tell. I liked the fact that Kate can take care of herself but at the same time, it's not cool that she was the one who had to reveal the secret and I think the hero should have been the one to make the big gesture.

Tempting Kate by Jennifer Snow is a fun, hot read.

Kate Hartley is a wedding planner whose business has taken a nose dive since her fiance left her at the altar. In the nearly a year since, she's been scrambling for clients and it's come down to making it all come together for her new client, a Hollywood power couple. But the groom's brother seems just as intent on putting a halt to the nuptials.

Scott Dillon owns the resort where the happy event is supposed to take place. He knows the bride's holding out on his brother, and he feels his sib deserves to know the truth before they say their I-dos. He didn't plan on the wedding planner being crazy hot and someone he comes to admire and respect as well.

Jennifer Snow does a great job of letting us get to know Kate and Scott, and come to understand their circumstances and hearts. We're rooting for them the whole way, and it becomes clear that Tempting Kate is actually tempting the both of them in the best of ways.

Looking forward to reading more by Ms Snow.

The story of wedding planner Kate and pilot come resort owner Scott. This was an ok read. It's not my usual choice but it was included at the back of another book. I wouldn't normally choose a book about wedding planners as I am not really a wedding person. That aside, the story was quite captivating. There was nothing special here but I did like the h's confidence and I liked the banter in the email exchanges. I found Kate's ex-boyfriend a bit annoying and the fact that she had slept with him a week before meeting the H was a bit off-putting, and I didn't quite buy into the happiness of the couple getting married and sometimes I didn't quite buy into the h and H's attraction. Otherwise a solid Blaze title.

Hubungan kasual antara Kate dan Scott menarik untuk diikuti. Kate berusaha mempertahankan karirnya, sambil mencegah Scott menghancurkan pernikahan kakaknya sendiri. Hanya saja proses berubahnya pemikiran Scott dari hidup tanpa komitmen menjadi jatuh cinta pada Kate tergolong instan sih...well setelah dua tiga kali sesi panas dengan Kate sebenarnya.
