Zuri doesn't remember exactly how old she was when she picked up her first romance novel, but she does remember it was love at first sight. "It was probably a Harlequin," she recalled during a recent interview. "And it thankfully took me away from a fairly dull and routine existence growing up in a small Kansas town."
Things aren't dull and routine anymore. Zuri now resides in Los Angeles with her family and when she isn't writing loves to travel the world, cook vegetarian food, work out, watch sports, attend concerts and theatre and enjoy the simple things in life.
"Many people have given up on love, much less romance," Zuri says. "I'm hoping that somehow, through the love-filled pages of my romance novels, I can ignite the reader's desire to believe again. Because everything is possible, when we believe..."

Absolutely love the Drake Family! Really happy that London and Ace found their way back together through his fashion design company and her modeling. But after what London suffered as a young child, why didn't she listen when Ace warned her about Max, her sleazy ex-boyfriend? Lots of shocking surprises in this one.

Love. One of the most powerful words used but also the one word that can make you your weakest. Many people throw the word around without truly understanding its meaning but once they understand it seems to quit flowing so freely. What do you do when you want to love but you feel like you are broken? Do you make the attempt or do you just live life without risks?
London Drake is amazing in her own right. While London is quite the spitfire when it comes to her family life she is still a young woman with dreams of continued success. What should London do when a ghost from her past comes back to haunt her? Is this something that she would like to revisit or should she just forget leaving the past in the past and keep moving forward with her life?
Ace Montgomery has always been a special guy but just didn't know it. From a young boy who some didn't think he was heading anywhere to the successful man that he has grown into today. Life has a funny way of changing your perspective on what you think is important and for Ace he is trying to figure out which way is the right way. How do you continue with your current lifestyle when your life is about to be turned upside down? Will Ace be a willing participant or will he turn the other way?
Lavish Loving is the 9th installment in the Drakes Of California series and it does not disappoint. If you have read the previous books you know how powerful and family oriented this series is. There is regular family drama and excitement but the one thing that is never lost is love. Day has given us another chance to be entertained and engrossed in lives other than our own. You feel like you are a part of the book, like you are right there in the story and that is the sign of a great writer. If you haven't started on this series, you need to! I applaud Day for continuing to bring us Love and Light!

Zuri Day is one of my favorite authors. I have faithfully followed The Drakes of California series which has included some of her best work. However, this last installment in the series, is a disappointment to me. This novel didn't have the "Zuri touch" -- almost as if it was written by someone else. The ninth installment in this series, LAVISH LOVING, is the story of London Drake and Ace Montgomery. Both are international models with "history" who meet years later to pick up where they left off. There is an underlying subplot that adds an element of suspense, but that only serves to prolong the story. Although not the best addition to the series, I encourage you to read it because it provides an update on the Drake family. Day says the next installment in this series is the finale. She is a gifted writer and I hope the next novel is a truer reflection of her wonderful talent .

Ms. Day did a good job weaving London’s story. London never expected to run into Ace Montgomery at her family resort and the attraction was still strong. Ace is at the resort for much needed mini-vacation and when he sees London he knows she is the one to model his clothing line. He realizes London is still not ready to commit but as the event draws near, they cannot help but reunite. Ace and London have a few bumps in the road and with a stalker on the loose, added to London’s fear of commitment, Ace must find a way to protect her and conquer her fear. This makes for a good story and quick read. Enjoyed the story.

Another Drake love fest. This book is about two individuals who has a past, London & Ace. They had brief and sexually charged encounter that they both thoroughly enjoyed, but never reached out to one another to continue. They come upon each other with in their positions as models and they rekindle their relationship.
Sorry to say, we as readers already know how this book is going to end, but how we get there is another issue, which I found this book lacking in a lot of areas.
This book did not grab me and did not keep me excited in reading it, that is why it took me so long to finish it. I found it to be really boring in some portions of the book.

Great love story between London and Ace.
If you have not read about The Drakes Of California you do not know what you're missing.
Truly hate that Harlequin is dropping this line books from productions. I truly wish all of the writers and hope and want them to continue writing.
Pick up previous books in The Drakes of California you will enjoy them.

Ace and London's chemistry was off the charts! I absolutely loved the mystery, the fashion, and both of them trying to fight the obvious that they were madly in love with one another! The romance between them sizzled and the ending had me in tears because Ace was such a smooth dude! Awesome read!!!

Enjoyable reading
This has been an entertaining series. I thought this eighth book in the series and the youngest daughter, Northern California Drake, what can the author write? In addition to the romance, I was treated to a mystery stalker and pleased with the information and organization to help those suffering abuse.

Great book! If you like romance, drama and suspense all in one book, this is the book for you! This book take you from Lust to Love with some suspense and drama mixed in the middle. Good quick read.

I love the whole story line of London Drake and her family. And the soul mate connection she had with Ace Montgomery. How they complement each on so many level and they are there when are in trouble they got each other back. Truly do love each other . Very great reads ☺!!! Lol

This is my first time reading one of this author novels. I must say it has been a pleasure there wasn't a dull moment. It every term of events it was excitement at every corner. It was a warranty for women and inspiring as well. I will continue to indulge in reading Zula Day novels.

The Drake family is fabulous, but none do much as London. She's an international model and daredevil. After a chance reunion with Ace Montgomery, former model and now a designer, she becomes the face of his new line. A passion is rekindled but an obsessive stalker is after London.

I just loved Lavish Loving by Zuri Day!! I loved the chemistry and London and Ace love story!! I would recommend this book and the series to anyone!

I am a fan of this authors work. But this particular book I found difficult to finish. It just was not one of my favorites.

It was fun and cute, steamy as heck. London’s story was very interesting, and Ace was amazing.
The Drake’s supporting cast did not disappoint. I recommend.

July 6, 2017Ms. London Drake is living the life and she has no idea that love is about to take over when she runs into Ace. I you are looking for a read that has lots of love and a little bit of suspense this is the story for you. The characters are well developed and the story flows well. I enjoyed this read and I think other readers will too.
