Colorado sports reporter, Noel Winters heads to Louisiana after finding love letters in her deceased mother's belongings. When her car breaks down near Bijou Bayou, a handsome, struggling pitcher and part-time mechanic comes to her rescue by fixing her car, and offering to help her find her father. Only problem? As her alias, Micki Barrett, Noel wrote an article criticizing Justin Gravois's big league debut. Now she's fallen for him, can she ever find the courage to tell him the truth? Justin Gravois, professional pitcher, wanted to make his uncle proud. When he finally got his shot, his dream turned into a nightmare. It didn't help that sports reporter, Micki Barrett, wrote such terrible things about him. Now, Justin wants to forget about the past and move forward to next season. When he falls in love with Noel he wonders if she's an answer to his prayer.

I really liked this story, so 4 stars here and 5 stars on Amazon. This is a good Christmas romance that has more going on than the typical one you might read. Set in Cajun country in Louisiana, the relationships among characters are complex enough to make them interesting even without Christmas or the Cajun flavor. I finished this novel on Christmas Eve and wish I'd read it sooner in order to let other readers know it's a good book in time for Christmas.

I loved this story. Noel is a very strong character with a purpose in mind when she travels to Bijou Bayou. Discovering Justin Gravois there throws her a huge curve ball. He, too, is a strong character. In this well written story I found a truly engaging family who took Noel in and helped her when she needed it the most. Forgiveness also plays a big role as well as the modeling of good family relationships. All in all, this super story is one I highly recommend. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

When Noel came to Louisiana to find her father her whole life will change. When Noel meets Vivian she is truly amazed at what a wonderful person she is. Justin is surprised when he sees a beautiful girl with Ms. Vivian. Watching Noel and Justin become friends is special. The way the people treat Noel has her completely shocked. This book will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. You will feel God working throughout this whole story. I received a advance copy of this book for a honest review. This review is my honest thoughts about this book. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.

This was a delightful Christmas themed story that I thoroughly enjoyed. Following Noel and Justin's story to see if they could get past all of their misunderstandings to discover the plan God had for their lives made for a delightful read. The setting in Bijou Bayou also added to the enjoyment of the story. This is one that I definitely recommend to the reader who enjoys a good Christmas themed romance. I was given an advance copy of the book, but a favorable review was not required. The opinions expressed are my own.

I loved this story. The characters were great. Besides Noel and Justin, I loved the character of Vivian. She drew me into her family just like she did Noel.
This was a great Christmas story and didn’t take a long time to read.
I was given a PDF copy by the author and was not required to write a positive review. This is my own opinion.

Short, sweet. Full of themes on Love, Forgiveness, Family and Faith. And true to Cajun language roots.
