The Spawned #3

Spawned By The Wolf

Rate this book
In a dystopian future where the human race was dwindling, Julia Watson was assigned as a “population growth partner” alongside handsome Commander Ryan Wallace.

However, Ryan Wallace was a man who carried the wolf shifter gene and this meant that any child they produced would likely carry the shifter gene also.

Julia knew she wanted to become a mother and with the world the way it was, she knew she would probably never get a better opportunity.

But could she really carry the spawn of a wolf? Could the wolf baby even survive inside her?

One thing was for sure and that was that Julia was about to discover what motherhood was really all about in more ways than one...

This is a paranormal love and pregnancy romance with the perfect mix of sensual scenes alongside an intriguing plot full of excitement and adventure!

It is an internet ad that first catches Julia’s attention; marriages require clear communication and mutual respect, love optional. But Julia wants a baby more than anything. The idea of never becoming a mom is inconceivable to her, whereas a loveless marriage was probably something she could learn to live with. Julia is paired and to be married to Commander Ryan Wallace, the Nation’s Leader, and while their initial meeting gets off on the wrong foot, they do eventually find what each are looking for. On her wedding night Julia becomes pregnant, but how can this be; what she doesn’t realise is that she has been cursed by magic and her pregnancy will not be a normal one. When Alex is born, he begins to grow at a rapid pace as does his intellect, and there is no sign of this slowing down. Willow, an old and wise woman from the mountains, is sent for and provides insight into what is happening with Alex. There is only one course of action; Bennett, the leader of the Graywolves has to be killed to reverse the curse and to stop him putting the same curse on the other women in the village. The Graywolves will be difficult to defeat, but when Julia realises she has some hidden powers herself, she wants to help. Ryan doesn’t want Julia involved in the fight, but at the last minute relents, neither of them not realising Alex has overheard their plans. This was an engaging shifter story that had a few twists and turns, and I found it an interesting read.

This is a great story about a woman who is matched with a man to have a child. He is a wolf shifter. It was just supposed to be an arrangement and they didn't expect the attraction. It is well-written and I really enjoyed the story.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

Interesting, odd but quite fun.

As a shifter fan I found that I could suspend disbelief in order to get with this story. Have some fun and let go your preconceived notions, it's fun and liberating. Enjoy !

What...

What a unique and wonderful way to end a story! I am hoping it is NOT the end of the series, but if it is, it was certainly the way to go out with a bang.

Spawned By The Wolf

It was ok and I liked it. I just kept wondering how if she got powers from the spell being cast or where did it come from. W as it because she moved there why she got powers.
