"I liked the part where they were swimming. But then they got caught in a rogue wave. I don't know what that is but the mud mixed with the water and pushed them away from home and made it hard for them to see when they swam. Ariel and her two sisters got help from seagulls and dolphins who gave them rides home when the mermaids tails were tired. Pretty soon they got home and got in trouble for being away from where they were supposed to be. Ariel told the truth about saving the guards and her sisters from the two rogue waves." -Cadee, age 8

"Sometimes my problems come all at once, too," Ariel told Salty. "My father tells me to take them one at a time."

It's a really cute story about Ariel and her sisters, Aquata and Andrina, finding their way back home after getting swept up by a wave when they were playing in a current.
Ariel has to find a way to get back home, but with her being the littlest one, she doesn't think her ideas are that great since her sisters are older and couldn't come up with them in the first place.
She learns to trust her instincts and on the way home, meets sea creature friends that help them along the way.

'But if I hadn't tried anything, I'd never have found this. And we'd never have met Salty or the dolphins.' She remembered Aquata asking her if she was scared to be on the surface, and how good it had felt to realize she hadn't been."

A very nice tale for little kids, in age and spirit! An everyday story under the sea, in which Ariel gains the adventurous spirit we know her to have and we love her for. With a pleasant side dish of her sisters.

Ariel put her sisters in danger!!!! And all for what? So she can throw a temper tantrum. If Ariel lived in North Las Vegas she wouldn’t make it a mile down Lamb much less down North 5th. Someone needs to check her before the streets do.

A new favourite in this series, I loved this one, it depicted Ariel perfectly, we got so much of her sisters and we got a sea of adventure in such a small story and it was all written so perfectly too.

It started with Ariel being Ariel her absent mindedness daydreaming and distracted by many other things but then, her and her sisters play a cute game together in the sea waves and soon are washed into sea far from home. Her skills of being distracted helped them figure out how to get home and her kindness to the other animals helped her too.

I loved this adventure with two of her sisters Andrina and Aquatta, they did so many things they were scared of but they believed so much that Ariel would save them and it was sweet. They never seemed scared or worried they wouldn’t find their way home, all because they trusted Ariel the youngest sister to guide them back.

I honestly loved that it wasn’t just about Ariel and that it was about her sisters too, it was about Ariel first time discovering the sea and finding the things we know later on she adores and it was so much fun.

The story and the characterisation is done so well that you could see that makings of her sisters and herself even at the younger ages they were. I loved the illustrations within the book getting to see everything come to life too.

If you have a princess fan in your life or an Ariel in particular fan then I highly recommend this book as it is a perfect Ariel story and it really joins up to what we already know so naturally and perfectly.

Reminded me of the Little Mermaid chapter books I used to read as a child. This talks about how Ariel comes to be more confident about herself, and also the adventurous side of her coming out. Adorable pictures and storyline.

In the opinion of this reviewer, a 40+ male who has seen The Little Mermaid - lets say more than once... establishing Ariel as a daydreamer in the beginning of the book was done to death. And without spoiling it, I didn't care for how King Triton was depicted... at least not some of the dialogue.

But this is written, not for a 40+ male - but someone closer to the age of seven... which is how old Ariel is here... and that reader will find a character who sees her older sisters doing things she can't, one who has some self doubts, and despite those doubts, she is able to save herself and her sisters. Those things, at least, make this a decent story.

There were a few things in the story I had to re-skim through to fully understand what had happened (like I hadn't understood how the mermaids got so far from home but it was because they had been swept away by a current). Although, honestly it probably was due to my own wandering brain rather than poor writing. The illustrations were really cute and I always like learning more about Ariel.

Onko nämä kirjat tarkoitettu lukemaan jo oppineille lapsille itse luettavaksi?

I love everything Disney and I love books. So Disney+ books= awesomeness but I must say this particular book was just OK. I read the first two books Cinderella and belle and loved them but the action just wasn’t there for Ariel. Which saddens me because I love the little mermaid.

My absolute favorite one out of all the series. Ariel is my favorite princess so I might be a little biased, but the story was so well done and I absolutely loved all the sisters and each of their personalities. The story was really entertaining and I just absolutely adored this book.

My daughter really enjoyed this book. Some of the themes in The Little Mermaid are scary to her, but I find the publishing tales a lot more age-appropriate.

My 7 year old loved it. She said it was a great adventure with Ariel and two of her sisters. They were lost at sea and found their way back.
