THE PERFECT PROSECUTOR (Book 2 in the Ike Thompson Legal Thriller Series and the sequel to THE PERFECT LAWYER) is released!

Successfully defending an alleged baby killer restored Ike Thompson’s reputation as “the perfect lawyer.” But it also destroyed his practice. Now, a seemingly random attack on a powerful CEO hints at a truth so horrifying, it could cost him everything.

The story was buried on the back pages of a fringe news website: a mentally ill woman randomly attacked the CEO of one of the world’s biggest pharmaceutical companies outside its Chicago headquarters. At first, Ike dismisses it as just another disturbed person roaming the streets, but further investigation reveals that the woman was not mentally ill, the incident not an attack, and that it was not at all random.

As Ike delves deeper, he uncovers evidence of a monstrous scandal that has caused untold thousands to needlessly die agonizing deaths. Exposing the outrage will take him from a search for truth to something much darker than he'd ever imagined—a fight for survival against powerful forces willing to sacrifice anyone to keep their secrets buried.

There, he took creative writing classes and spent his free time bodysurfing at St. Augustine's gorgeous beach. Saving Baby by Gregg Bell

Annie is thrilled to learn that Houston Monroe, a wealthy business man hires her to watch after his baby. She notices something is not right, the baby cries constantly and appears weak and possibly ill. When she confronts him (Houston) it sparks anger and denial, she tries to tell her Father but he thinks she is exaggerating. Acting on impulse she makes a risky move, takes the baby and goes on the run. She knows something evil is going on and is in a race against time to uncover the truth.

A fast paced thriller, with an original plot, and edge of your seat suspense. Young Annie is very likable, at seventeen years old she wise and brave for her age. She is determined to do the right thing, at any cost. Overall I found Saving Baby thrilling, intense, suspenseful a true page-turner. I highly recommend this fantastic five-star read to all.

4 Amazing Stars!
Thrilling, Riveting and Absolutely Addicting!

The Review:
Saving Baby was a highly entertaining read that kept me glued to the pages, anticipating what was to come next.

With quick, decisive, intelligent writing, blended with excitement, intrigue, tons of twists and turns and a completely captivating story with just a bit of romance thrown in to round things out, this read will “wow” you until the action-packed end. I couldn't put this one down until I knew the outcome!

Story/Characters...
Seventeen year old Annie Rebarchek is in need of a summer job before she goes off to college and at the advice of her father, applies for a domestic assistant position with the country's infamous billionaire and leading environmentalist, Houston Monroe. But upon interviewing for the job and hearing the desperate cries of Monroe’s baby, cries in which Monroe nefariously neglects to respond to, Annie becomes desperate to get the job and help the poor baby who seems to be calling out to her for help.

As Annie immerses herself in the life of Monroe’s “team”, and sees the way in which Monroe plans to raise baby Chase, Annie decides she can’t stand by and let the abuse continue. On a desperate attempt to save Chase, Annie risks everything to give him a life better than the one he’s currently living. But Monroe has an agenda and an assemblage of outlaws willing to do his bidding, leaving Annie and her friends in more danger than any of them anticipated.

This author takes us on such a thrilling adventure full of peril and double-dealings. Monroe has led the world to believe that Annie is a mad woman and a kidnapper who stole his beloved baby right out from under him. Everything is stacked against Annie. She doesn’t know who to trust and those she thought she could trust, didn’t always turn out to be the allies she hoped them to be. There were so many times when one so young should have given up, but Annie persevered. She took those struggles head on and fought to give baby Chase a chance at a better life, even at the expense of her own and at the expense of her friends. I loved how bravely she counteracted everything Monroe threw at her. Some of the things she endured in this story were truly terrifying, but she handled them with so much sass and courage.

Teaming with Thaddeus Kostopoulos, a journalist who is more than he appears, and the only one who seems to be brave enough to take on Monroe, these two are in for the fight of their lives as it surely seems Monroe will stop at nothing to keep his name in good standing and the truth hidden.

The Wrap Up:
I had a great time with this book. With such a vague synopsis, I wasn’t sure what it would hold for me, but I was hooked right from the beginning. After that first chapter, I knew I was in for something special and I wasn’t wrong. It was fast paced, suspenseful, gripping and filled with powerful tension.

I absolutely loved this read!

Overall the story of seventeen year old Annie who went to work as a nanny and subsequently "rescued/kidnapped" her infant charge was very intense and often rather unbelievable. When I think of some of the older teens of today I have to say I cannot imagine any of them being able to pull off what she did. It was satisfying that she managed to save the baby of a billionaire tycoon who threw everything he could at her to stop her. Very fast read!!

I also very much appreciate that Gregg Bell writes his books minus the "gratuitous violence, sex, and profanity". That's a quote from the About The Author section at the end of the book. Very much appreciated, Mr. Bell.

Definitely a Great Read

Seventeen year old Annie has been told by her father to get a good job this summer, as it will be on her college transcript, and it's just this summer...

Huston Monroe needs an assistant, it's not considered a baby sitting job, but someone willing to be part of his "team", that would oversee the care of the child in so many different ways.

How could he tell her no?! Annie's perfect for this job!! She could be his assistant, do anything he wants for her to care for baby Chase! She'd held baby Chase one time before Mr. Monroe had told her she couldn't have the job. Why was Mr. Monroe so set against baby Chase being held to stop his crying?? Annie didn't understand!!

For me this book was devoured in a matter of hours! It was a very good read, not really any times where I was bored reading it, it just went that fast. So difficult to put down, I have read one other book by this author, it was also a very good book, tho this one held my interest more. I will definitely be following him.

It was a pleasure to read Saving Baby by Gregg Bell.

Gregg never fails to amaze me with the scope of his imagination in the suspense novels he writes!

The plot of Saving Baby was quite different from his previous novels and I found it very intriguing. It truly made me stop and think! What would I do if I found out a baby was being neglected and abused by it’s father? Would I have the courage, even in my “over-the-hill” years to snag the little tyke and run? How would I have reacted at the ripe young age of seventeen?

The main characters are very well thought out and are strong opponents. The ancillary characters could have used more fleshing out to become real. Eli is someone I think would have added more depth to the story with his backstory since he ended up being crucial to the ending.

Annie managed to get in and out of a number of close calls, and that makes me wonder about the seventeen-year-olds of today. Would they have the knowledge and wherewithal to maneuver themselves through the challenges that Annie found herself in? I’m wondering if she shouldn’t have, perhaps, been a bit older with more life experience.

Overall, I was very happy with Saving Baby. It had enough suspense to keep me involved in the story. It had enough depth to have me asking questions of myself and about the world in general. That makes Saving Baby by Gregg Bell a great book in my library! Thank you, Gregg, for another exceptional novel!

I give Saving Baby by Gregg Bell five steaming hot cups of Room With Books coffee!

There's so much one can say but it just sounds like a lot of other books - "gripping" "fast paced" etc. I don't know how to describe Saving Baby. It's all of that and more - doing what is right morally is a very difficult decision because it is not popular. By grabbing a billionaire's suffering baby, Annie is doing the moral thing. She's doing what is right. At seventeen she makes a decision that most adults would not do and this choice takes her on a journey that impacts not only her life, but challenges her father and her friends to face the truth: the man might be rich but he is abusing a helpless baby. He is not the "nice" facade he depicts to the outside world. Annie learns about real life the hard way - it's not easy and not everyone who appears to be kind and helpful is your friend! Help often comes from strangers...
Gregg Bell's books tell a story within a story. This story is not the same for everyone....if you want an unbiased opinion, grab Saving Baby and let me know what you think. I could not put it down!

I am an avid reader and I enjoyed the story. I’ve read a lot of books and own close to 20,000 kindle books [thankfully most of them were free] from several genre. Unless I am reading non-fiction, I expect all books to be un-lifelike. Saving Baby is written by Greg Bell. He writes thrillers/ mysteries and satire. I found Saving Baby enjoyable. Was it unrealistic? A bit, but so are action movies, spy films, books in the sci-fi and fantasy genres, and some older classic books. Did the story grab the reader’s attention? Yes, I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen. Is it geared to a younger audience? That depends on what you expect from a book. I have quite a few years on me and I enjoyed it. So, depending on your expectations, Saving Baby is an enjoyable fast-paced thriller that can take you away from reality for a little while.

This writer is one of my favorite OMG! Thrill writers. I haven’t read one of his books in awhile and forgot how fast paced and heart stopping his books can be. This particular book takes place in the Valley of the Sun where I live so I was able to really relate to the sights, sounds and people in the story. This story pulls you in from the get go and is very intense. It’s an emotional roller coaster ride for the reader. It’s very a hard book to put down because you really want to know what happens. I enjoyed it and a recommend this book.

Suspense galore

Loved this book. Right from the time Annie took baby Chance I had great difficulty putting the book down. As the story progressed and different scenarios evolved it pulled me further and further into the story. I was cheering Annie on as she managed to get herself out of the clutches of Houston and his minions and with the help of good friends, triumphed over them.
If you like suspense and thrilling action you will enjoy this book.

Farfetched

Far fetched to hear a baby cry and deduce all that and take such action. Letting a baby cry isn't a crime. Maybe in the end when things were revealed I could see the problem, but not in the beginning to go to such lengths over a crying baby. A baby won't die from being ignored.

Long n drawn out but worth it

It seemed first very unreal for a young girl to go-to the extreme like she did. How sh could keep getting deeper and deeper without looking like she was crazy. But it all works out for her. Amazing story.
