This was a YA paranormal/time-travel book which picked up where book 2 left off.
Echo was an okay character in this, and she seemed to really care about her best friend and boyfriend. I was surprised that she wanted to move to West Region and leave her entire life behind though.
The storyline in this was about the Mutila, and about Echo seeking asylum in West Region with Connor. We also had Jaxon causing problems again, and a new threat in the form of a woman called Damona. The pace in this was a little slow for me though, and the book dragged a bit for me.
The ending to this was okay, but it wasn’t a happy ending really.

This was an okay read. I thought the story had some interesting parts, but for the most part it was boring. Also, I thought that Echo was an okay character. The story was good, but it could have been better. Overall, a not-so-bad sequel.

This was a great book in my opinion and my favorite so far out of the three books in the series. But I liked all of the books.
I thought that Echo's character here was less annoying than in the last book, and the scene with her father when she was out of the mind control was touching. And heartbreaking. Aand I will admit that the whole time they were brainwashed, I was completely cheering and rooting for them to break out of it.
The first part of this seemed a little slow, but despite that, I still kinda enjoyed reading through it. The ending made up for the boring first parts, but it was frustrating though for me (and strangely touching). This better not be the last book of the series because it's just a frustrating place to end, and I still want to know what's going to happen to them, especially Connor. I can't wait to know what will happen next, and what kinds of characters will be introduced in the next book.

The main character in this was okay, but again, I didn't love her.
This felt quite long at points for me, as there were a few big parts of the book that bored me. It wasn't a bad read though, and ended up being an okay sequel overall.

This book was good though the second one was mind blowing. This one wasn't as amazing but I feel like this book was kinda like a transition between book 2 and 4. It had a vety abrubt end and I'm very very curious for what awaits in the next book. The second book was the best by far and I hope that the next one out shines too. This one was nice but somethings were predictable though there was no mistaking the authors great plotting skills. There are a lot of mysteries that have been left unsolved in this book and I hope to find answers in the next one. Anyways my imagination is running wild with the possibilities. There were times when the story went at a very slow pace and then suddenly a lot of things would come in rushing all at once. So I was kind of disoriented and confused at times. But on a whole the book was interesting.
I think this series is definitely worth reading.

Echo into light was an okay read for me. Enjoyed some parts of the story though some parts were slow and boring. Would've loved to read more about West Region. 2.5 stars for me

I love it when I get the opportunity to enjoy a set of books, particularly when I enjoyed the first two so much. So I was delighted to jump back into the story of Echo and Connor and the paranormal world they live in. Let me begin by saying this is very much a YA book but, like Twilight, I could also see many adults enjoying it, particularly if they enjoy romance with a strong element of danger. Don’t we all!
Let’s kick off with the plot. Well, there’s plenty happening. Echo is hoping to be with Connor if she is granted asylum. However, a fellow by the name of Keenan has sworn to get his revenge on her. But, for me, the biggest problem is Damona, a newcomer with fantastic powers. I know I keep comparing this saga to Twilight and, in many ways, it’s similar. But it’s also different. Twilight was a little too ‘romantic’ for me and I often got annoyed and skipped chapters. However, Echo, although retrospective, is not overly so, and the author is fab at balancing character development and a pacey plot.
Probably the strongest part of the book is the writing style. It is very accessible (for YA or adult) with plenty of descriptive prose which is well-written and imaginative. The author is also confident with ‘speech’ with plenty of ‘showing’ and not ‘telling’, a good sign of a confident author. Finally, the author is not scared to keep a sentence short and simple where it’s needed; and, by doing so, helping to improve the pacing where speed is needed.
Oddly, I did spot the odd grammatical error. In fact, the very last line of the book: I held my peace sign high and walked through the wall, out the building. I think it needs an ‘of’: out OF the building. Or on p258: had so much money to spend at his business. It should probably read: On his business. But the odd niggly error was all I spotted.
Finally, the cover; and what a fantastic cover it is. In fact, they all are. Powerful, exciting, tempting the prospective buyer to lift it off the shelf and enjoy the wonders of a superbly written story. They say you can’t judge a book by the cover. Well, in this case, you can.
To sum up then. This is a fab story, full of interesting characters and set in an absorbing paranormal world. I can’t decide if it’s a character-led book or a plot-led book. Probably a mixture of both. The best compliment I can give it: it’s better than Twilight. And Twilight sold, what? Millions!
