Dan is both naturally religious and Spiritually minded. He is not a saint of the kind usually talked of, but he has in him the making of one when the job is through. Dan's knowledge is varied and his faith strong. He has faith in nearly everybody and everything. The man turned down by Dan might not be considered worth picking up by anyone else. The day after I rented the cottage on the corner, and also the day I moved in, Dan came over to see if he or his Sarah could do anything. And it struck me just then that he had done a good deal by coming over to see me.
