The Kobayashi twins, Megumu and Mitsuru, were named after historical figures, but only Megumu has grown up with a taste for history. So when Mitsuru is in danger of losing his weekends to extra history classes, he convinces his sister to swap clothes with him and ace his tests! After all, how hard can it be for them to play each other?

Having a long-distance relationship isn’t the easiest thing for Megumu and Aoi, but after a romantic evening and a standoff with her parents, their relationship is stronger than ever. And now that Mitsuru finally has a life goal (to beat Azusa’s other fiancé in the national pre-exams and win her hand), he’s pouring all his fierce energy into securing their future. But despite how promising their lives seem, the twins are having ominous dreams. Are the nightmares just a symptom of stress, or is something more prophetic going on…?

"Idiot. Don`t decide what`s good for me. Letting you go would be the worst thing that could ever happen to me.BECAUSE YOU ARE WORTH FIGHTING FOR." - Mitsuru

***
I am glad that Azusa finally made amends to her half-sister Shino who she bullied in the past. I never expected Megumu`s foreboding dream to be the earthquake and tsunami that took place in Japan 2011. Her beloved Aoi Sanada is in middle of it trying to survive...oh god

Megumu Kobayashi and Aoi Sanada are working through the kinks in their long distance relationship. Meanwhile, Mitsuru Kobayashi is diligently studying for the national exam so that he can prove to Azusa Tokugawa's father that he is fit to marry her and take over the company over the young man her father has picked to be her fiance. Everything seems to be going according to plan when disaster strikes, throwing all of their lives into chaos.

I definitely enjoyed the twins struggling through their long distance relationships and coming up with plans for how to make them work. I also liked how we have seen Mitsuru grow as a character, he had a true purpose in this volume, along with a goal and you could tell he was really striving to accomplish that goal. The end was a major twist and their lives are definitely going to be in utter chaos, I guess we will have to see if they all make it out alive.

It's been a couple of years since I picked up volume 12 but the fact that I was just able to pick up right from where it left off and and not be lost? That in itself deserves points. Disclaimer, my reading taste (preference? idk) has changed since I first started this series and the things that had appealed to me in the beginning wouldn't as much now I can still acknowledge that its a cutesy shojo manga. Stakes do get higher in this volume and although it is a bit different to how the story had been thus far I think it's interesting getting to see the characters react to the different obstacles to their relationships.

Wow! That's probably the first time I've read a manga involving a real event... Aoi is living in Sendai, right? In the Tohoku region. What happened in the Tohoku region in March 2011? Yep, that's right. .

The author didn0t want to talk about it at first, thinking it was a too serious argument to be dealt with in a shōjo manga. But then she changed her mind and here we are. So curious to see what happened to poor Aoi.

On the other hand, I really like Mitsuru's arc. Azusa has grown on me and I can understand now why she's so in love with Mitsuru. And yeah, she's a though girl.

Two more volumes and then the series will be over. No more Gō Ikeyamada for awhile, I guess. I haven't heard about her new series being translated in any language I know.

Aoi and Mitsu finish their horny business then move on to discussing marriage and again in front of her parents. Megumi and Azusa take on her father's chosen fiancé who finds himself more and more lacking when faced with their 'love'. Azusa decides if anyone is going to take over her father's company, it'll be her.

Aoi meets his mother in most unfortunate circumstance.

It's an improvement over that last one.

Aoi and Megumu have an awkward morning after scene and the lovely sense of a a future together.

Meanwhile, Mitsuru battles for Tokugawa's hand in marriage. Will he make the grade?

BUT THIS VOLUME HAS SO MANY FEELS AND IT IS NOT OKAY AND EVERYTHING GOES BAD IN THE TIME IT TAKES TO READ 5 PAGES! I STARTED CRYING IN McDONALDS AND NEARLY THREW THE BOOK ACROSS THE ROOM!

This series had 15 volumes.

There's a few things that gave me the ick later in the series, but this volume was worth it. I wasn't going to continue, but after realizing that there were only a few more volumes left, I wanted to see it through. I'm glad I did.

This volume does deal with something heavy, possibly triggering, but I'm eager to see how the characters move forward.

This cheesy teen soap opera suddenly inserts a dramatic real life event into its storyline. It's too early to judge if this is bold or tasteless, but then I've had that problem with this entire series, and it hasn't stopped me from reading.

An unnecessary twist meant to just prolong the manga. Maybe he'll come back with his memory lost.

Great plot development in this volume but I am happy to see that the story is coming to an end. Not sure what the author still had to say about the characters.

Going into this manga completely and utterly blind is the best thing you can do for yourself. I have no words. So good though. So good.

This volume I like alot more we see that Mego has taken her relationship a step further and are "so cute it hurts"but is darkness on the rise. Mitsuru has to deal with a rival in the academic field in order to win the girl he loves through her father's approval. The artwork is impeccable as always. This time around the story has come back to its original hi-jenks and we see the return of some old characters. Overall it was a enjoyable read. As far as the ratings go, lovers of this series could skip the last volume but in this volume there is nothing too racy other than a bit of nudity which is laughed off as embarrassment and some hinting at the actual sexual act.
