**I received a free PDF copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed in this review are mine and 100% honest.**

This is an important (not to mention cute!) children's book. Counting Blessings does just what is suggested by the title -- teaches children about the importance of blessings as well as recognizing and appreciating them. I think this could be a beneficial lesson for children to learn by reading.

I am so blessed to have won this in a Goodreads Giveaway. I was so surprised to receive a beautiful package with a gift and a card inside with the book. The gift is perfect (an adorable bunny! much like the one the main character snuggles on the first page). The giveaways I win are sent to the library where I work and receiving this was excellent way to start my shift! My coworkers and I passed around the adorable bunny and the book is a sweet read! After speaking with the Library Director, we've decided to use the book and the bunny as a prize for our summer program, in order to best pass on this blessing and make sure a child who will truly appreciate it will be able to enjoy, giving credit to the author as donor.

The illustrations in this book are excellent for a young reader (suggest for ages 3-8) and the words are few enough to keep interest. The font presents the story well and matches the illustrations, so the book is a pleasure to view as the story unfolds. The rhyming and pace of the story fit the audience well and create a story that both a parent and child enjoy reading together.

The message of the story is beautiful and important. Even if a child's religion varies from the one (Christianity) presented in the story, the moral is still pertinent, being grateful for one's blessings and recognizing them all around!

Highly recommend!

Most children should be thankful for what they have. Not all are blessed with that.
A shout out to Rosemarie Gillen (illustrator).

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one. All thoughts & opinions are entirely my own.

A very awesome book cover, wonderful hand drawn colored pictures & great font/writing style. A very well written Children’s thankfulness book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great Children’s thankfulness movie, an animated cartoon, a PP presentation. A book you must read to the very end. That said I will still rate it at 5 stars.

Thank you for the free Goodreads; Making Connections; Making Connections discussion group talk; Author; PDF book

I received an e copy of this book through a Goodreads giveaway. My daughter read it to me. It carries an important message of counting your blessings and being thankful. Although it depicts a family following the Christian faith, the story and message can be appreciated by anyone.

This is a cute and very nicely illustrated book that helps children to understand how much they have to be thankful for. It's in Spanish, and even if you don't speak the language it's a good way to learn. This would be a fun book to read to your child, and you could add some culture into your day by reading it in this language (if you're not already fluent in Spanish). It's a feel-good book that is suitable for the entire family.

Counting Blessings :
" At first, there were none ! though they came along one by one ".
With these beautiful and deep sentences children writer Amal Alaboud start her story, and what better rather than this to start. It's a great start.
This child's story goes beyond counting blessings, it goes to be grateful and thankful to everything that child could have in his early learning.
In this great story which I loved so much, there is a lot going deeply beyond, there is learning, praying, and being thankful.
Plus the good choice of very innocent illustrations that the illustrator Rosemarie Gillen has been drawn to explain the beauty of this story.
In this story, we found a tone of learning, and I've noticed that the children writer Amal Alaboud has been writing in a way of the rhythmic poem which I adore. She has been very considerable of mentioning the good manners that we trying to transmit a good behaving to the children.
And she finished :
" For these, I Thank you, God ! I must say
Also for the ones that are coming my way "
It is so tender to finish the story with a rhythmic poem.
I highly recommend this story.
