Torn between her friendship with her best friend Leandra and her love for Emjay, she must also deal with Myrick, her obsessed, serial killer ex-boyfriend who will do anything to get back the woman he loves.
A tawdry, steamy, and heart-pounding tale of love gone wrong, blackmail, scandal, and the secrets lovers tell one another, Harm Done is a riveting and suspenseful romance.
This truly is a read that when I say a cougar is almost caught I mean just that. Like replaying parts in movies Shane Allison truly had me rereading so many different parts. Shane really knows how to jump from transition to transition and when to allow them to blend in and does it so amazingly. So many times when I didn't have the book I couldn't stop thinking about the characters. Anyone who reads this is not going to want to put Harm Done down once they pick it up until they are done reading.
This book had alot of discrepancies or errors such as on the first couple of pages Take is like 21 or 22. Then a few pages later he is 26. Also I don't want to spoil anything but something major happens at one point and then a few chapters later it's retold completely different like it hadn't already happened. It's like the author forgot what he had already written and nobody caught it. 🤔 Kind of like the old goosebumps books. You pick the scenario you like the best I guess *shrugs*. If you can get past that the story is kinda good and I liked the writing style.
Shariece Houston is a college professor who is having an affair with one of her students, who also happens to be her best friend's son, Emjay. Her friendship with Leandra is in jeopardy, and so is her life. Her ex-boyfriend Myrick is determined you make innocent people suffer for her sending him to jail.
This book had so much potential, but there were quite a few errors…too many inconsistencies to be exact. I really wish someone had taken the time to proofread this story, because I really enjoyed it.
If not for the numerous discrepancies and inconsistencies throughout the book I would have given it 5 stars. Things like ages/timelines not adding up, brown-skinned in one chapter but light in the next. And one inconsistency so obvious, the fact that it wasn’t caught amazes me. Somehow the book is still good enough to make you want to finish it. I would say it’s worth a read despite all of that.
This was an intriguing and spellbinding novel. A community college professor has a tarp and love affair with her best friend’s son. This book was extremely hard to put down. You can find this book on book share.
This book was wayyyyy different. The twist and turns. I hate to spoil the book but at one point I felt like I could not finish it. I guess I was expecting for the story to be different. And the details of some of the killings were way to much.
