To say Casie Armstrong is shy on first dates is an understatement. When she receives a Twitter message from a tattooed, self-identifying IT nerd, she finds comfort in online anonymity. After weeks of messaging, texting, and phone calls, they finally decide to meet. When they finally come together, will it be as hot as their online hookups? Or will Casie revert to her normal introverted self?
Kelly Cain is a native Northern Californian but has spent the last couple of decades in Texas, currently residing in the live music capital of the world, Austin. Consequently, most of her books are set somewhere between those two locations.
Kelly writes multicultural romance with determined women directing their own fates, and the swoon-worthy men who adore them. She loves reading most genres but please don’t ask her to pick just one. However, she can pick her favorite book boyfriend – Will Herondale.
When she isn’t reading or writing, Kelly is most likely using a genealogy site to research her extended family, both old and new. Or cooking/baking something delightful.
She has two adult daughters, and a new granddaughter.
I enjoyed this steamy short story about a shy, introverted woman named Casie, and her evolving relationship with a guy she meets on Twitter. The characters were described well, and I thought the dialogue was natural. I thought even in that short bit we get to glimpse the characters that the female friendships were described well, also.
I would like to know more about Rob, the sexy, tattooed nerd, though-- more stories about him, please, K?

Hot nerds are one of my weaknesses. And let me tell you about how hard I related to Casie. Poor, awkward introvert that she is, she was me as she dabbed at the coffee dribbling down her chin when the cute boy looked at her. If only we could leap over the first few dates and get to the hot, fun stuff... That’s exactly what Casie does with Rob, after they meet online. A scorching hot phone sex relationship unfolds and it’s all hearts and happily ever after when they finally meet face-to-face. I loved this steamy short story and wish it was longer. I can’t wait to read more from Kelly Cain!
I really enjoyed this short read - it's a great mix of sweet and steamy, plus I love a good romance with a shy main character who finds their way out of their shell.
I enjoyed this short novella. It was written in a unique format, which was a large part text conversations between Rob & Casie. There is not a great deal of room for character development, but you do get an understanding of why Casie is nervous about meeting new people for first dates (she has had a couple of real doozies that have freaked her out completely). Even over text Casie gets incredibly nervous and second guesses herself too much. Gradually though, she is able to loosen up and even gives Rob her phone number! She has told him that she wants to take things slowly, and when 6 months, and Christmas, rolls around, she may be ready to actually meet...maybe. Does Casie explain her hesitation?
Read this for yourself and see if Casie and Rob actually meet face-to-face. What happens with their "relationship"?

Twitter Love Dating can be a minefield, especially when you are shy. But who says you have to do the initial getting to know each other face to face. That’s what the internet is for, or at least it is for Casie. This story is a little slow to start for a short story. But once Rob comes into it, it rings true and moves well. The writing has a refreshing simplicity to it and the central character, Casie, is as quirky as she is endearing. This is a nice read for those times when you can’t start a whole novel but want a real story.
Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and passion, strength and happiness with a happily ever after. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed. Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

The story was interesting and there were a couple of scenes got fairly steamy. But I feel like there wasn't really enough to the story, especially since the initial connection made between the couple was slightly on the unknown side. The relationship went really fast made especially for someone that’s not supposed to be that type of person. i didn’t enjoy it as much as I expected. I feel it could have been better than it was. It felt like an abrupt cut off. I feel like the Christmas aspect of this story was supposed to Be a big thing but the relationship wasn't well developed enough for that and it didn’t expand. It is worth reading if you like a super short erotic romance. Straight no chaser.

The idea behind this story was interesting. And the couple scenes got fairly steamy. But I feel like there wasn't really enough to the story, especially since the initial connection made between the couple was slightly on the creepy side. The fact that everything else went super fast made it less enjoyable than it could have been. I feel like the Christmas aspect of this story was supposed to make it a bit on the sweet side, but the relationship wasn't well developed enough for that. It is worth reading if you like a super short erotic romance.

Cassie and Rob meet on Twitter when Rob slides into Cassie’s dm’s. If you’ve ever begun a friendship online - or a more intimate relationship- you can relate to the rush you get when you click with someone.
