Just what I wanted from a Spidey-DP mash. Humour of all kinds...light, dark, obscene and just plain weird. The best part is I can practically hear Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield bickering in my head.
Here's some of my favorite moments:
"D.P. phone home." got me right in the kidney (aka FEELS CENTRAL). The poor boy had to kaboom-kasplat himself just for that line, and for what? Not even a giggle from the Spides.
"Spide-kick" *applause* (Because for those who don't already know, Deadpool is the real hero.)
Deadpool's escape tactic. WOW. I mean, talk about dedication to the cause. Well, fine, the cause is essentially "survival". But still. DEDICATION.
THE BAMF.
Let's be real...my favorite moments cover the entire issue. So let's just say it's my favorite issue. FOR NOW.
Nah, you like him. At least a bit. A teeny tiny little bit.

It’s usually a treat when Deadpool and Spidey cross paths, and in Spider-man/Deadpool, there’s enough going on to keep readers laughing in concordance with the humorous writing and, of course, some fine artwork.
Writer Joe Kelly, and artistic team of Ed McGuinness, Mark Morales and Jason Keith have gone the route that sees Peter Parker as the CEO of global technology giant Parker Industries, while Wade is still the world’s foremost mercenary, and most verbose anti-hero. Kelly has demonstrated himself an adroit writer, in full control of his co-lead character, keeping Wade’s words flowing like a river right from page 1. Further, his choice of words for the dialogues would leave readers wondering as to Wade’s sexual orientation, his moral standing, and the state of his general mental health. This was expected, and Kelly delivers with authority throughout the debut issue.
Apart from what was expected though, the creative team has also managed to deliver a few surprises, giving the story an added dimension. Of course the pair would overcome the first adversary they face in tandem, of course we’d be given a scene that sheds light on Wade’s hunt for redemption. Yes, all these things are credible and almost predictable, but Kelly’s story might leave readers feeling impressed with the methods in which things were resolved. However, they say that ‘the devil’s in the details,’ and my beef with this storyline is the fact that Wade, with his far-reaching intel on all things, is still oblivious to Spider-man’s secret identity. There were also a few occasions where parts of dialogue felt repetitive. That being said, the reveal at the end of the issue, didn’t dissuade me from picking up the follow-up issue to see where this story goes.
I’m trying to get into reading comics/graphic novels these days, and so far I’m still not feeling it. But probably because I should’ve read “Don’t call it a team up” first, so I give that one a go before I continue with the next issues.
I've wanted to read this series since it came out last year, and I'm not entirely sure why it's taken me so long to get started. D.P and Spidey's dynamic is brilliant. The fact that there's now a long running series with them working together is a dream come true!
Also that bonus Vision book freaks me out. I've thought about taking it up, but now I'm not so sure. There's just something seriously creepy about it.
Be my bottom and live!" - Og dette: "I never pegged you for jealous".
Deadpool and Spider-Man are forced to work together against a common enemy. Of course being Deadpool there is an ulterior motive. He wants to recruit Spidey to his Mercs For Money business.
I loved this comic form start to finish. I haven't laughed at a comic so much ever. Fighting a giant sewage monster just about sums up the tone of it. I Can't wait to read issue two of this hilarious team up. Both characters are fantastic Here and the love hate relationship makes for some great comedy moments.
I read this because I love Deadpool but Spider-man is at least as good (and funny) as him here. I would recommend this to anyone who like a bit of comedy in there comics. Joe Kelly. You nailed it!
This has Deadpool. This has Spider-Man. And between them there is a ton of banter, which is what these men are best at, along with taking down the bad guy. I'm down for the next one!
Spider-man has been the mouthy, wise-cracking super-hero, and Deadpool the turn-it-up a few notches for the next generation. Bringing them together in a book of their own seemed natural given comics' big guns tendency to share a book. These are the first issues. At the time, Peter Parker had become a Tony Stark, financial magnate kind of figure. This is why Deadpool murders him, trying to hire Spider-man to help him. Then Parker resurrects (of course), and the story is appropriately crazy for these two characters. Deadpool as always constantly breaks the fourth wall, Spider-man with him. This book, despite that gruesome plot line, is going for humor and a fun kind of ride. That. is hard to do consistently, but the title lasted for fifty issues, so there is enough to create a good read.
mediocre start with dormammu and hydro-man as the villains while the real reson behind the trouble is wade wanting to kill "spider-man's boss, meaning peter parker"
it's always entertaining to see these two diffeerent characters interact and i liked the way they did it - wade has got to hit on peter ofc- but im expecting more out of the stoy telling
this came with the vision #1 issue which was interesting, featuring his family, vision ressuructing his daughter ft. tony strak, and agatha harkness in a noir art style killing a black feline magical creature to see visions of the future with vision killing the avengers wanda is mentioned but never shown

Getting 2 wise cracking superheroes together is always funny and the play of deadpool screwing up and spider-man fixing it is really funny plus I really enjoy this. Where spider-man has a company and has more resources little more like Tony stark but less of the arrogant and alcoholism
Hmm. Quite frankly, Doom* prefers Deadpool dialed down a notch or two. However, Doom did appreciate the way Deadpool handled the "Mindless ones."
*On occasion Doom handles the critical analysis as a means to relax from the other details which weigh down his busy schedule. This menial task is usually handled by others in Doom's beneficent employ.
At times very entertaining, but also very scattered. These collections often do not work in one volume because each chapter has a different feel and its own climax (!) of sorts. Entertaining, but boring.
The superhero team-up you didn't know you needed! Once you do, you'll say to yourself, "gosh, why wasn't this thought of sooner?" #1 is hysterical, intriguing, dramatic, and snarky all at once. A fun read.
i love their team series so much that i've read all 50 issues twice.. these two have incredible chemistry, they're canonically heartmates, and neither of them have much of a filter. what more can you ask for?
