A Hustler's Dream

Rate this book
A new start always comes at a price. Dante 'Worlds' is fresh from the joint. Leaner but more importantly... wiser. He's smart enough now to not get 'caught up' again. But also knows a life of crime is unsustainable. His main goal now is to return to the old game but with a few new tricks. Ones that will keep him off radar to the authorities. Once he's stashed away enough coin... its the 'straight and narrow' for him. Meanwhile a new 'connect' Worlds made in prison named Fredd aids him in organizing a venture that is sure to pay off very robustly for Dante. Getting him out of 'the life' for good. Fredd's past however is a murky one. Filled with the usual betrayals and lies one commits to survive in the streets. When his enemies hear of his new dealings with Worlds. He becomes their prime target, along with those closest to him. Enter Dominique. She wants a life with Worlds but upon finding out he's back to his old ways she threatens to depart. Without his protection she's a sitting duck for Fredd's enemies who're now, Worlds enemies. Worlds must now close this new deal quickly. His future and hers... depends on it.

Good read

Riggs gone paint the town Red. They don't know who they are fooling with. Fredd is so grimy and greedy. That is going to get him put in the dirt real quick. World's has been warned and better watch the company he keeps before it's too late.

If you grew up that nice protective, gated community and silver spoon way (nothing wrong with that) and you just have that curiosity of what it would be like to live or make living by any means necessary in hood / ghetto this the book to read.

Mr. Morris has his readers hooked from the page 1 I mean even before his acknowledgements. He is a new author to me and I must say that he has me hooked on his books. The way he describes everything with his words you can see them as if you are right there witnessing everything that is happening. Not many authors have that unforced ability. If you want that downright thug and drug story this is the book for you.

Mr. Morris has you seconded guessing yourself as to who did what, why they did it or what is going to happen next. Now to me that is a book worth reading several times. This is a must read! Go borrow from the library, purchase it or get it on kindle (for free). Just do me a favor and read it.

Just when this book was starting to get good, it was over. Now I have to wait for part 2 to figure out what's going to happen. Fredd is just too greedy, and that will be his downfall. World is almost where he needs to be, but for how long? I wouldn't want to be in Riggs' path of destruction.

Pretty Good Read.

The book was okay, but I somewhat got lost with the flow. The characters were not well defined and it confused me a little, but Fredd was really shady and I’ll be glad when he gets what coming to him.

This is an excellent book. I read it in one sitting!!!

The author really outdid herself with this fine read. The characters were interesting and the story showed as each one interacted with each other. Great job!!!

This was a good quick action-packed read. Worlds should be careful when around Fredd because he is a true snake & only out for self. I just hope he finds out before it's too late. Great content and storyline has me looking forward to part 2

It wasn't all that I expected. Too many typos for me. But I'll read part 2 because part 1 ended rather abruptly. I want to see if Dante finds out about Fredd, and if Riggs gets Fredd back for setting him up. Give it a 3/5.
