Advertising executive Paige Porter heads to Las Vegas for the finals rodeo with one goal in mind: Find a cowboy with the perfect…um… genes to model her client’s new western clothing line. After covertly watching hundreds of men walk by, Paige finally finds the cowboy with her ideal assets. Before she can approach him, he disappears into the crowd. She’s left with a picture of his back pockets and an annoying rodeo clown who makes her wish she’d never left home.
Cooper James lives life to the fullest, determined to make people smile with his own special brand of humor. As a rodeo clown and barrelman, he loves engaging the crowd and getting a laugh, even if it means embarrassing an uptight ad executive who’s desperately searching for the ideal model for a new brand of jeans. Intrigued by the woman, Cooper has no intention of telling her he recognizes the denim-clad backside in the photo she’s flashing all over town.
Laughter, lighthearted fun, and love ensues in this heartwarming holiday romance.

I sure most everyone knows what LOL means this day and time and if by some off chance you don’t well you certainly will by the end of this book because you will be Laughing Out Loud literally almost the whole entire book!! Cooper constantly keeps uptight executive no fun Paige wondering what sort of joke he will be unleashing on her next and mind you not always funny to her. Does Paige ever let her hair down and give into Rodeo clown extraordinaire Cooper’s humorous type of fun one will just have to read this fun filled book to find out. I can promise a reader one thing this book is a Barrel of Fun!!! I absolutely loved it. Shanna Hatfield has a gift of writing fun sweet Romance especially with her Christmas Rodeo Cowboy series. Makes a reader want to go out to the Rodeo and find her a very own Christmas Cowboy!! Yee Haw!! For Barreling through Christmas
What I love and always pulls me into one of Ms. Hatfield’s books is her wonderful character that always makes me smile. I know when I pick up one of her books no matter what the plot there is going be humor and laughter waiting for me. The second thing is her plots they are all believable they pull you in keeping you highly entertained. Once you finish one of her books you feel like you found a place to belong and want to become part of the story. The next thing that follows is the nice refreshing clean read that is full of clean fun and passion. There are always conflicts there is never an easy time which make it more believable. In Barreling through Christmas you find all these things and so much more. Here characters blend well together, the buildup always has the correct amount of issues, love and chemistry that makes a story a true romance. With this title the mind goes wild so much can happen and does happen in this delightful read. I doubt you can pick this up and not smile, and right out laugh.
What Paige needs is to let go a little and loosen up, let her hair down and get a little wild. Being an exec there is always a lot of stress, long hours and no time for the small things in life. Cooper is just the man to turn her world upside down as he barrels through her wall breaking it down. You are going to love all the things these two get into, as you turn the page you wonder what is going to happen next. Paige’s reactions are priceless. You have no trouble picturing the scene unfolds before your eyes. These two are the opposite of each other. Cooper is a joker loves to have fun where Paige is more straight laced not smiling much and sure doesn’t know what fun is. Cooper is about to change the way she sees life as these two dance around each other making you laugh, smile and just about dance yourself. There is little wonder why Cooper jokes being the rodeo clown he enjoys brings smiles to people faces, if he makes them laugh it makes his day. I really enjoyed and like Cooper he has a way to bring out the child in adults making them remember a simpler time when things were more fun. The children love him as much as the adults do there is little wonder as you will find out for yourself as you fall in love with him.
As you get to know Paige and she loosens up you fall in love with her. She is one of a kind as she grows and blooms before you very eyes you are happy to pull that stick right out of her….Just watching how things came about and the way she deals with them is outstanding. The buildup is wonderful the author really gets your attention pulling you in as you become invested in the read. I really enjoyed the passion these who have for each other. There are some very sweet emotional scenes that will make you sigh. This is a wonderful sweet clean read but the author is able to put some hot heated scenes and still keep it clean. Cooper is a man but he is a gentleman that knows how to give but knows when to take a step back before things get out of control. I really love this about him. Yes men have needs as do women but it is so much more than that. He shows how much he wants her but is willing to wait to see where all this goes. As always the supporting characters do an outstanding job and add so much to the story. I know you are going to love this as much as I have. I love this series each one is better than the last. If you are looking for a clean, easy read full of passion on the clean side as well as a plot that will make you laugh and smile throughout I hope you pick this up and give it a try. **********************
Paige Porter needs to find a cowboy to model a client’s new brand of jeans. She heads to the finals rodeo in Las Vegas and begins her search for the perfect cowboy, more specifically, the perfect cowboy's behind. She finds what she’s looking for, but doesn’t get a look at his face. Now she has to find him again. And she has to do so while being tormented by a rodeo clown named Cooper James.
Paige is so good at what she does! But in so many ways, she doesn’t really live her life. It was great to see her let her hair down, figuratively and literally. I loved the influence that Nick, Cooper’s grandpa, had on her and the relationship they developed.
When we first see Cooper, he is reading to a group of children. How do you not immediately fall in love with a hero like that?! He is so good with kids, and has such a big heart. He is an amazing guy! And he’ll do anything for Paige.
I had so much fun reading this book! I smiled and laughed and thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. And the romance – wow! Once again, Shanna Hatfield has reminded me why I love to read her books!
This is part of the Rodeo Romance series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Of course, it will make you want to read the rest of the series if you haven’t already. :)
I received a complimentary copy of the book. This is an honest review.
Paige Porter has come up with the perfect campaign for one of her company’s clients and now she has to step out of her comfort zone to find the perfect cowboy to model the jeans for the upcoming ads. So, she enlists her sister’s help and heads off to Las Vegas for the national rodeo finals. She spots the perfect (at least from behind) candidate right of the bat, but isn’t able to catch up with him.
During her search around Vegas to find the owner of the behind in question, she meets rodeo clown and barrelman extraordinaire Cooper James, who mercilessly teases uptight Paige. He happens to be the owner of the behind in question, but doesn’t admit such to Paige. What starts as him wanting to just see Paige loosen up a bit turns into something more as both Paige and Cooper begin to see the person below each other’s surface.
But these two can’t seem to get out of their own heads long enough to give their blossoming feelings a chance. It will take a bit of loving meddling from Cooper’s grandfather Nick (who is an absolute delight) and Paige’s sister to keep these two in each other’s sight long enough for them to realize how right they are for each other.
This is a sweet, funny book that can easily be read stand-alone. There are quite a few characters from her other Rodeo Romance books that make an appearance, and it was fun to see them as well. There is a great blend between substance and light-heartedness and while it is a “Christmas” story, it is perfect for any time.
*I received a complimentary ARC copy from the author and voluntarily chose to provide an honest review.
Hard to rate this one. The writing overall was good, except for the way that they talked about Dexter? That seemed really harsh... and the story was fun with the rodeos and stuff, but the overall love story made me a little nuts. Like, just talk to each other. I really didn't love the FMC...but the MMC was enjoyable...except for all of the teasing? I would have hated that! Very up and down for me. So, 3 stars.
Wait, no! Oh my goodness, I totally put the absolute worst aspect out of my memory!!! Are we all just totally okay and fine with the fact that these two people were together and kissing WHILE SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND??? It's just like tacitly accepted because her boyfriend "is a weenie"??? And not just like a one time mistake, but literally at dinner while he's at the house????? I'm super not okay with this.
1 star. Can't believe I forgot about that when doing the first review. It was literally so crazy to me that I put it from my memory.
Barreling Through Christmas, Book 4 in Shanna Hatfield’s phenomenal Rodeo Romance Series, catapulted to the top of my favorite books in this series. It has just took the lead as my favorite contemporary book I’ve read this year. Funny, charismatic, and the perfect romance story, Copper James and Paige Porter engulfed my heart. This is one of the funniest, most entertaining books I’ve ever read. Ms. Hatfield has become one of my most cherished authors and my new go-to author when I’m in need of a feel good love story. No one, I truly mean no one, has ever written Romance that brings such joy and comfort to my heart and soul. Nothing better than Rodeo Cowboys, Romance, and A Great Love story. I laughed so hard while reading Cooper and Paige’s story. I suggest everyone grab this one up and get ready to bring laughter and romance into your world.
Paige had sold her idea to Elliot now she needed to find the perfect cowboy. The rodeo convention in Las Vegas would be the perfect place. Across the room she spies the prefect rear-end she got a picture but not his face. They lost him. Paige and her sister showed the picture around. No one recognized the cowboy his back end. While leaving they saw Cooper in clown costume reading to children. Cooper couldn't help playing jokes on Paige. Every time it seemed like they were finally getting together something else happened. It's about time this trickster with a heart of gold got his girl Great story loved Cooper grew to love Paige. So many other characters especially Paige 's sister and St. Nick.
Thank you for another great read Shanna Hatfield! In the past, I haven't usually leaned toward cowboy based stories, but just before last Thanksgiving while looking for some Christmas stories, I got a freebie from BookBub by Shauna. I was hooked and have been zipping through her books since then. I love that she brings new people into each story, who are friends with characters from past books, who make appearances in each successive book, especially the kids! I read the excerpt for book 5, at the end of this book and intend to pickup right where I left off with book 5, already downloaded as soon as I post this review. I recommend purchasing Barreling Through Christmas and the previous three books to everyone. Enjoy!
An ad executive falls for a rodeo clown well on the job.
Enjoyed being in Shanna rodeo romances again. It's been awhile. Paige job takes her to Las Vegas to find the best cowboy in jeans. She takes a picture of a guy backside. It takes her almost the whole WNFR to find him But when she meets Cooper he gets her all riled up. But as they are around each other he breaks down her walls. She falls in love with him and he with her. He finally breaks down and tells her his backside the one she looking for. They work together for a year getting the ad campaign for the clothing line together and fall more in love. He proposes to her a year later at the debut of the clothing line and have a sweet wedding after. Will more by this author.
What a great Rodeo romance! Maybe it’s because it has some Christmas romance in it. Maybe it’s because I’m reading it while all the cowboys are currently in Las Vegas. Maybe I think this author know what she’s taking about when it comes to rodeo people. Maybe I just like this series — no, check that, I really, really like this series! Whatever it is.... I really enjoyed this book! Had to read this one since there isn’t an Audible version yet, but it kept me entertained, so I had no problem getting through it! I wanted to stay awake for this one! Already have the next book in the series downloaded!
If you are looking for a lot of laughter, a few tears, and a little romance, this is definitely the book to read. Paige Porter is on a mission to find a cowboy with the perfect posterior to model her clients western clothing line. Her search leads her to the famous rodeo clown, Super Cooper James. Coop knows he is who she is looking for but sets up numerous comical events to try to elicit her laughter. Paige is too serious and he just wants her to lighten up and enjoy herself. You will not want to miss this book. It is the best of the series in my opinion.
Paige and Cooper had me giggling throughout most of their story. These two made me think of the saying, "There is a lid for every pot." They just complimented each other so well and were each exactly what the other one needed.
I was glad that their family members stayed in contact but minded their own business while these two worked through their issues ans only got involved when asked. It was so refreshing.
The advertising campaign that Paige put together had me grinning. Too bad it was just fiction.
The cameos from characters from the first three books in the series was lovely.
I highly recommend listening to the audible version, if you can because Luke Andreen did a remarkable job bringing these characters to life.
Barreling Though Christmas: (Sweet Western Holiday Romance) (Rodeo Romance Book 4)
The love story of Cooper and Paige. Paige is looking for a real cowboy to model some jeans for a company she doing ads for. She has found the perfect model but she keep losing him. She meet Cooper and ask for his help but he is the one she is looking for. Will love follow? Great story short on the Christmas theme.
Needing a new way to go on his mens line, Paige suggested a cowboy. Given to go ahead so was sent to rodeo to find the perfect male to wear this new western wear line. Who knew she would pick the rodeo clown ! Lots a relationship struggle, misunderstandings, and learning to grow follow this pair. But in the end, the campaign is overwhelmingly successful and they find answers for themselves also.
This was actually a reread for me but since Amazon removed all my previous reviews, I will now review on Goodreads and Bookbub. I love Shanna Hatfield stories and this one is hilarious. Hey I love cowboy rearends in jeans so I can appreciate Paige’s dilemma. This book is romantic, funny and unpredictable. I’m also a fan of rodeo cowboys and cowgirls so I’m really enjoying these stories. Treat yourself to this book.
A great story about an ad executive Paige, who is paid to head to Las Vegas for a week to find a cowboy model for a new line of men's clothing. She sees the perfect butt and gets a picture, but the cowboy escapes before she sees his face. The chase is on and the fun begins.
You'll laugh along with Paige and Cooper as they maneuver through the trials of balancing work and pleasure. I'm enjoying each of these books in the series and can't wait for the next one!
This was. Really exciting and humorous story. Paige was an advertising gent and the company she worked for had a client, who had poor results with their campaign. She wanted to try something different. The clothing company needed someone to make the jeans stand out, someone with a “tush” everyone would notice. She went to Vegas to find that person and she did. Adventure, excitement abounds, enjoy their story.
Paige is in advertising and is trying to make a name for herself. She is looking for a promotion in her job. She has a wonderful idea and needs to find the right person to do the modeling. Off to Las Vegas she goes looking for a cowboy for the job. Oh, you are going to enjoy the rest of the story.
I loved Barreling Through Christmas. It had a great mix of manly cowboy activities and a story of one afraid to take risks. In the song The Rose, there is a line that reads “it’s the one afraid of dying that never learns to live.” We can avoid risk but it is not a very high quality of life. I highly recommend this wonderful book.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved the humor and the insights into rodeo life. My favorite part was when the main character tried the "guacamole". I laughed for about ten minutes after reading that bit.
Barreling Through Christmas was funny, heart warming and a pleasure to read. Shanna Hatfield knows how to develop characters and storylines to the enjoyment of her readers.
This book is the 4th in the series and I think it is the best one I have read. They are all fun books to read, but this one actually had me laughing several times. Love the characters so much, especially the rodeo clown.
What a fantastic story. It's sweet and silly and funny and wonderful. Once you start reading Shanna Hatfield’s books, it's difficult to stop. Now, on to the next book.
Barreling Through Christmas: Excellent love story! I like that Cooper was a fun guy. I liked how Paige and Cooper met. Fantastic writing and dialog. It was a very entertaining story. I really enjoyed all the characters.
I am enjoying this rodeo series so very much. There is so much fun and sweet romance in all of the books and the storyline of each is just so wonderful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone for reading.
I adored him as a friend to Celia in the last book but with his fully developed character I am totally in love with him. He is a clown that truly cares for people and want to bring as much happiness as possible.
Wow!! This is the 4th read in this fabulous series.
Shanna, you did a beautiful job creating Paige's and Copper's love story. They sure had their ups and downs but the outcome is great. Loved it it is also a pager turner.
I wondered who would be chosen next for the series and was pleasantly surprised to read about Cooper! I also enjoyed Paige's character development into the woman she became.
I am so glad Cooper got his own book after being introduced to him in book 3. I think Cooper has made this book my favorite in this series. Love how he uses his humor in this book & turns Paige upside down! Can't wait to read book 5.
I love Cooper and Paige's story. Cooper is a wonderful character. He is sweet, funny, kind, and super physically fit as a rodeo clown. Paige is and advertising exec, staid and proper. This is a true opposites attract and the side characters are hilarious!
