Finished the series and hope for more.

Excellent series of books, I got lost in every one of them. I’d not heard of the author but I’ve been taking a punt on Unknown’s as I have kindle unlimited.
I don’t wish to spoil any of the plots so I won’t give much away. But you do get involved in the characters and how their lives too and fro.
I will be waiting for the next although I do think this is the conclusion to the Ramsey series.
Conrad, if you do read the reviews, well done for keeping me entertained and I wish you all the best for the future.
I will continue to buy your books now I am following you.

Thank you

These books are the cause of me losing sleep. Once you start reading them you can't put them down. Very graphic in parts and not for the faint hearted. The Child Taker had my full attention as I live in the area where the story is situated! It's so descriptive I knew exactly where the storyline took me.
Looking forward to reading more stories from C Jones. Be prepared to lose sleep and wake up with a 'I read past my bedtime' headache. These books have it all. Murder mayhem Bent coppers Drug cartels and some dark humour in parts

Enjoyed this...

Not my normal genre of reading I normally read horror but decided to download this boxset and I’m glad I did.
The main characters are strong and enough detail is given about them to form an understanding of them without going into to much detail that becomes boring but enough that you get to know them, the stories followed on from each other seamlessly and the crimes and the subsequent investigations were well written about, left you wanting more and kept you turning the pages.
I will defiantly be reading more work from this author in the future.

Fantastic. Well written and the storyline has followed through all the books.

What a great box set. The story followed the same detectives through all the books. You got an insight into the work and private lives of the main characters. We got to know the villains and what they did. It got more and more violent as the book progresses to the East Europeans and Russians. The twists and turns throughout were mainly unexpected and the whole set was boldly written. Great for lovers of crime novels.

A magnificent series.

If you like gritty cop stories then this has it all. Strong characters that develop through the series, good descriptions of the area, and it really shows the soft underbelly of a City that could just be true. I finished it with some regret that it was over, but was delighted to see that there's a follow on series. I shall definitely read that. The research that must have gone into writing these books is impressive. Thank you Conrad Jones.

Great series

I really enjoyed this set. Being set in the UK makes it relatable and the author describes the areas so well that you can see them in your minds eye. The characters build over the series as you learn more about them. The books are very graphic and the description of how the bodies on the beach died in one of the books is haunting but being able to provoke a reaction in your readers is the sign of a great author. Looking forward to reading the next series.

Not my style - very long passages about how someone was reacting emotionally to a situation. Somewhat predictable situations in book after book - usually a female police officer gets maimed or killed in some manner. At times hard to keep up with who is who as you may leave a character and then come back a few chapters later. If you have put the book down for awhile and you are old like me you have to go back and see who that character is.

Brilliant!

This series of books about the M.I.T is absolutely fantastic. Great characters and fantastic plots. Being from Liverpool it was great as I knew the vast majority of places the books were set in. Have now purchased the other two box sets by this author so more happy reading ahead.

fantastic gripping read

Would recommend this series to anyone who likes to read a gripping thriller with many twists and turns. Just as soon as you think you have it all figured out, you don't. What an absolutely amazing read. Not read anything as good since Patricia Cornwell scarpetta series.

A truly fantastic series of books , great original story lines and characters . The tension that is created by the author is some of the best I have read , and I have read all the best Connelly Patterson Grisham ect . These books are up there believe me . You can’t go wrong and for a tenth of the price of he authors I mentioned above . You will not be disappointed .

Really goood

I have really enjoyed this series of books. The proof reading needs improving but does not retract from the stories. Good characters and plots. Not for the faint hearted as can be a bit gruesome in places. It is as the title suggests unputdownable

Outstanding

Absolutely love this author. The pace of his books is immense. Never read so many so quick. Don’t get to attached to the characters though. Not like other books I have read this author is not afraid to kill people off and detail is fantastic.

Enjoyable series

I would have given this series 5 sars but, although the storylines were superbly written and full of twists and turns , I had to skip a lot of the violent passages. Recommended reading for strong stomachs.

Good stories

Many of these have twists in the tale such that, just as you think it is coming to an end, it starts again on a different tack. Although Alex Ramsey is the DS, it is really about Him Stifling and Annie Jones.

A. Great series to read

I loved reading your books. You kept my attention at every turn of the page, and it helped that there weren't so many errors in this dramatic series that it took away from where you wanted the reader to go.

Good fast paced read. Thoroughly enjoyed reading the whole series, although I wouldn’t recommend if you’re not keen on violence.

Detective Alex Ramsay

Very disappointed. The stories got more and more complicated. Too many deaths, too graphically described - almost ghoulish. Hard work to get through
