Single Barrel by Jennifer Bramseth
Bourbonland Series
Bourbonland Short Stories and Novellas #1

Drew me in, made me feel, made me care about both couples and I now am eager to read what comes next in the Bourbonland series. I felt so sorry for Coraleigh and Clay and so happy for Walker and Ceci. I do hope we hear more about the four I have mentioned and also Russell. This is a novella that provides entertainment while providing the crossover from Bourbon Springs to Bourbonland. I loved finding out what a “single barrel” is and always look forward to reading what there is to learn at the back of books written by this author.

Thank you to the author for the ARC. This is my honest review.

I love spending time in Kentucky, the land of bourbon. Jennifer Bramseth has crafted a fabulous set of characters to escape away with and this is a perfect transition into her next series. We get to visit Cici and Walker with life after the wedding and a few surprises happen in their life while being introduced to Clay and Corrie. Oh, Clay and Corrie are breaking my heart in this story. I love how we are introduced to this new set of characters and the connection back to Bourbon Springs. Excited to see where this series takes us next.

Jennifer Bramseth has become one of my favorite authors and this series is why. She tells a story that pulls you in, tugs at your heartstrings, and gets you excited while making you want to literally live in the pages of the story. I can't wait for more of this new series and I'm so excited we'll get to see characters from the Bourbon Springs series pop up in them.

This stand-alone book was such a wonderful segue into the Bourbonland series and the fact that we got more of CiCi and Walker's back story and update on them was that much more exciting. I love the men of these books, just wish all men could be taught to pay attention to the little details that have us women swooning. Walker definitely gets points for that.

All I can say about Clay and Coraleigh's story is that it is just so sad. I also figure it won't be the last we read about them, thank heavens.

A perfect segue from Bourbon Springs to Bourbonland. Ms Bramseth has lived up to the extremely high bar set previously for the wonderful characters in her Bourbon Springs series with the introduction of Coraleigh and Clay. Knowing that even though there is no HEA for them in this story, but that they will have their own full story later in the Bourbonland series, has definitely whet my appetite for the forth coming series.

Having more of Walker and CiCi's backstory of their pregnancy contained within this novella was another delight. Also knowing that Bourbon Springs characters, who I have come to truly care about, will continue to make appearances in the Bourbonland series, means that a final goodbye was not needed after the end of the Bourbon Springs series. What Joy!!

This novella introduces a new couple, Coraleigh Boyle and Clay London, and their struggles to find their own happily-ever after- ending. It also gives us a chance to catch up with a couple from Bourbonland: Cici and Walker. It was an enjoyable and quick read.

I received a complimentary copy; all opinions are my own.

Must read

If you're a fan of the Bourbon Springs series then this book is a must read. It is the transition from Bourbon Springs to Bourbonland. Cici and Walker from a Bourbon Springs book along with Coraleigh and Clay are in here. Coraleigh's story is one it can't wait to read more about. I think the the Bourbonland series is one I am going to love!

Loved that it combines both worlds and that we will be able to see what's going on in the world of Bourbon Springs. Can't wait to find out what will happen with these people. So happy for Cici and Walker!

This was a wonderful prequel to the Bourbonland series. I loved this short story and can't wait to read the rest of the series. I definitely recommend.
