Being naughty never felt so good... Autumn Fowler has always been a good girl. A good daughter, a good sister, someone everyone could rely and depend on. When her car breaks down, it seems a horrible twist of fate that it’s outside of Carter Blue’s mechanic shop. Carter was the only guy she had ever fantasized about—and he was off-limits. He had once dated Autumn’s sister, Summer. Carter remembers little Autumn. He has always wanted her, but for all of his bad boy image, he doesn’t cheat. Now he’s single, and Carter doesn’t just want to fix her car, he wants to fix her. He can’t deny his need, and his cock knows what it wants. One time between her thighs is never going to be enough, so he offers her a they can be at each other’s beck and call. She shouldn’t agree. It’s wrong. But she can’t say no and compromises on keeping “them” a secret. Secrets never stay secrets, so what will happen when Summer finds out the truth? Will Autumn fight for Carter? Or will her fears drive away the only man she’s ever loved?
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
more like 3.5...liked it...didnt think I would because of the sister thing but it's been years meaning HS time and wasn't love...and once the H sees the h again...its only her :)
I didn't feel it. Sorry. Firstly, a man sleeping with two sisters is a huge pet peeve of mine- unless one of them is dead. However this made me quite uncomfortable. Carter and Autumn have known each other for many years as he went out with her old sister, summer. While Autumn always crushed on Carter, he on the other hand found her enchanting. While they start a relationship behind everyone's back, they fall for each other and things come to light. I really tried to like it. But have to say, epilogue was REALLY sweet and deserves an extra half star :) Unsafe 2.5/5
First let me say that this book is def not for everyone. Yes, the Hero was in a sexual relationship with the heroines sister. Yes, the sister is still around and causes some small problems for the H and h when she decides she wants the Hero back.
That being said, what saved this book for me was that it had been years - I'm talking 5+ years since the H and the sister had been together. That and the fact that it was never a love relationship makes it bearable. What makes it more bearable is that even though the Hero was with the sister he always had an eye on the heroine. He liked her but "hes not a cheater" and therefore would have never touched her while he was with the sister. The Hero never pursued anything with the heroine while dating her sister and didn't do anything after the break up. He went on with his life and the heroine went on with hers (they were never together and she only had a crush on him so there was no reason for her to be hung up on him).
The book starts years after the H and sister have broken up (they have NO communication after the break up so no one is necessarily pining for anyone) and the heroine's car brakes down in front of the Hero's garage. He helps her and is immediately taken with her (as most of Sam's H's are). They enter a sex only relationship shortly after and keep it a secret because of the past between the H and h's sister. About a month or so into the "relationship" the h's sister shows up and propositions the H. The sister was dealing with some crap and decided that she wanted to go back to something familiar (it was stretch to believe due to how long the sister and H had been broken up). The sister shows up two more times and the H shuts her down each time. At that point about 7 months time has passed and the relationship between the H and h has changed and they are in love.
For me, the fact that it took months for the relationship to grow was a good thing. While for the H the h was in upon seeing her again I don't necessarily consider this insta love. They both had to grow into it.
After realizing they are in love the sister makes a final attempt(she is unaware that the H and h are together... BUT the H has told her that he is dating someone seriously) and almost ruins whats good between the H and h - Now, real quick, I have to say. The sister is the type of girl we all hate. She is literately sleeping her way to the top - she's currently sleeping with her boss and has reached the amount of success she currently has by doing the same thing over and over. So, when the H shut her down hard I was pleased. She showed up a second time and he shut her down again. The third time she showed up she caught the H and h having sex. The sister goes off and slaps the heroine and calls her a slut and insults her - I found this ironic as the sister is sleeping with TWO men at that time. I had never warmed up to the sister so I wasn't at all bothered when the H slammed her into the wall - she deserved it. She had shown herself into the H's house with the hopes of seducing him the third time and thats when she caught the H and h.
Of course, they work all their shit out in one chapter and we get our HEA and an epilogue that was 10 years out. I found I was more bothered by the sisters behavior when she tried to get the H back whens she realized she was in love with a guy who was a "nice" guy than I was the fact that the H had been with the sister and the h. Even though they all made up and she married the "nice" guy I never got over her behavior.
If you can get over the fact that the H was with sisters (again, there was years between them) and you like Sam's books you would probably like this one. There are no detailed sex scenes with the H and OW but we are told that he had his office desk screwed to the floor for a reason. The heroine is NOT a virgin and neither had been with OW/OM in a couple months.
The story is hot but I'm not into the sister's ex-boyfriend thing esp if the sister & ex-boyfriend had an active sex life when they were together. Very cringe worthy.
He knew he liked her b4, but now that the opportunity is there, he's not wasting any time... He's claim'n his sweet Curvy Gal! Sam Crescent has done it again... Mmmm, I just love the way Sam packs these delicious Fantasies into the perfect HEA's combined with Curvy Gals, Mega HEAT, Hunky Characters (Ohhh Yes, Bring on those Alpha Males!), & all the feels needed in Smexxy RoMANce~ The Perfect escape with all the elements to make me Sigh, Cry, Cheer, Beg, & in the End Always, ALWAYS Plead for just a Li'l bit More!
This book is so cute! Yes it is extremely hot also, but I fell in love with Carter and Autumn. The relationship between the two of them is perfect, in my eyes, they are the perfect pair. I really wanted to slap Summer; I know in the end that she was a misunderstood but the way she treated Autumn for most of the book wasn’t nice at all. Even though Summer was horrible to Autumn, Autumn still tried to protect her and put her sisters feelings over her own. Carter was so loving that he didn’t push Autumn to confess their relationship to her family. The ending and epilogue/ten years later was absolutely perfect. I find no faults with the storyline nor the editing; I will definitely be reading this book again at some point in the future. I really want to read Summer’s pov and what happened between her and David when they met.
When Autumn Fowler's car breaks down on the way to her parent’s anniversary party. The last person she thought she would see again is the person to help her, Carter. Although they both have sizzling hot chemistry, Autumn tries to resist Carter. Autumn has never wanted someone as much she wants Carter but he is her big sister’s ex boyfriend. Carter has been attracted to Autumn for years but he was dating her sister and he never has and never will cheat. But dating Summer comes back to bite him on the a** when he wants to build a future with Autumn. Will Autumn ever tell Summer and her family about her new relationship? Will Autumn get her happily ever after?
3.5/5 Hot Fast read Safe with exceptions: -H use to "date" h's sister years ago, just sex, no love - when H and h meet again after a few years he's a goner - only OW drama is her sister who is a grade A bitch -H never ever thinks about getting the sister back, and generally dislikes her - great epilogue
I really wanted to give more stars but the grammatical issues were too distracting to warrant it.
Three stars is me being generous while I did like this story it had some obvious flaws. I definitely liked that the author tried a different pacing of the story. Opening with the point of conflict and then working backwards to explain how they got there. It was nice.
However, the grammar issues were all over the place. I had to mentally rewrite sentences so I could understand what she was saying. Also, the author is British and she couldn’t seem to choose which tone of voice she was writing with. Most of the story was (I can only assume) American’ish terminology and then randomly British verbiage is thrown in. I found that distracting as well. I’m okay with British writing but seriously pick one tone to use.
On a smaller issue there were some continuity lapses too. Mostly once or twice but noticeable enough that I was flicking back and forth pages to understand what just happened.
I disliked the relationship between the sisters. Either you’re good to each other or you’re not. And they weren’t, but they were so bonded? Yeah, okay. Smh. Also, what sister in her right mind would push a guy that she is having sex with on her sister to date?!? I don’t care how mixed up you are, that’s just over the top. And yet she ends up with an HEA at the end of this book as a side note. That was a super stretch of believability.
Otherwise, I loved the steaminess of the male and female leads. It was a hot read between them. If I could edit this book and remove or fix the above mentioned I would definitely give it higher stars.
Autumn Fowler has had a crush on Carter Blue since she was a teenager, but he was dating her sister and off limits. Years later when Autumn's car breaks down in front of Carter's shop, he is more than willing to help her out. Carter suggests they see where the attraction for one another leads, but they keep it under wraps until they figure it out. The more time they spend together though the more they don't want it to end and how does Autumn tell her sister that Carter is the love of her life?
Very fun read. I thought that Autumn's sister was a bit of a bully, liked Autumn a lot and enjoyed how she begins to stand up for herself. Carter was pure yumminess, he tests Autumn's boundaries. Another great read from Sam Crescent.
In the past Carter has been a bit of an arrogant jerk in regards to women. Even his year and a half relationship with Summer was about having a regular easy lay, nothing about love...but he strongly believes in the no cheating rule. He has always liked Autumn so given a chance with her he grabs it...hard and fast. Autumn teds to be a people pleaser especially her sister. She had a crush on Carter when he was with her sister but felt guilty about it, so although she still feels guilt she wants Carter and decides to try pleasing herself for a change and grabs him back just as hard. If you have read Sam Crescents books you know she loves a happy ending...no surprises with this one.
°Non virgin MCs °Both were with OP after meeting °Womanizer hero °Switching POVs °Neither were with others after reconnecting °The hero dated the heroine's sister years ago but their relationship was based on sex, they didn't love each other - they were together for a year and half °OW drama caused by the heroine's sister °No OM drama °No cheating °No separation once they get together °Intimate scenes only between hero and heroine °Epilogue: almost 11 years later
I'm always iffy about reading stories where one of the main characters had a previous relationship with another family member...sometimes even cousins...but I have to say that in this instance it worked! Maybe because there was always attraction between the two of them but no actual pining on the h's part and they meet again purely by (happy) accident. Also, H's relationship with her sister was stated pretty early on that it wasn't serious on either of their parts.
Not all of Sam Crescent's books are created equal but I really enjoyed this bit of smutty and forbidden goodness. Autumn begins a relationship with her older sister's ex boyfriend Carter. Carter had always had forbidden feelings for Autumn and now that she's grown up, he knows that she's the one for him. But her sister's jealousy causes problems. Plenty of sexy good times and just enough conflict to be interesting. A very enjoyable and quick read.
Yet again another great book by Sam Crescent!! She is one very talented lady!! I just absolutely loved this book! I can't wait to read what she will come out with next!! A definite must read!! Happy Reading!!! :)
Very interesting story. Loved how the story developed and concluded. There was an evolution I n the story that was well written. Carter was definitely sexy, hot and so very naughty.
I loved the chemistry between Autumn and Carter, but I had issues with how much Autumn wanted to keep her relationship with him a secret from her sister. And I really had issues with her sister. She was just awful. I couldn't stand her, not even at the end when she changed her ways.
This was a cute, short read. The sex scenes were great, too. However, I had a little bit of trouble getting past the whole dating her sister's ex thing. Might just be me, but I couldn't do that no matter how much time had passed between the two relationships.
I really liked this story and love Autumn with Carter. Although I really liked the story the only problem was with the editing. I'm not one to let that bother me enough to put it in my review, but this book has quite a bit. Still a great story.
