Lola Fischer is in big trouble. Lola’s name and celebrity gossip have always gone hand-in-hand—that’s just the price she pays for being young, beautiful, and famous in Hollywood. But when the paparazzi catches her in a steamy embrace with one half of America’s favorite movie star couple, Lola knows things are about to get bad. If Lola wants to keep working in this town, she’s going to need some major image rehab. According to her publicist, what Lola really needs is an All-American boyfriend to salvage her bad-girl reputation. Sam Medina is the perfect choice to play the part—hard-working, decent, and decidedly not famous. He’s also sexy as hell. And he’s interested in being a lot more than a pretend boyfriend. Lola needs someone to save her career, not fight for her heart. But Sam refuses to follow the script…
Rachel Schurig does not disappoint with Star Crossed. I am now determined to read all of her books and I'm hoping this series continues. This book has confirmed my belief that anyone can find love and that one person who was meant for you. This book was awesome and made me tear up a little but it hits ya in the feels.
Absolutely loved it! Didn’t think I would like Lolas story as she comes across as horrible. But when you see her story you just fall in love with her and Sam!
Note: I received an ARC from the author in exchange for a honest review.
Lovestruck is my favorite of Rachel Schurig's series, and that's saying a lot because they're all wonderful.
Lola Fisher has been the girl you love to hate since the first book in the series. Now, she finally gets to have her say, and we get to know the person under the facade. Lola seems to have it all, but she's actually lonely and scared. She has no family and very few friends to turn to so when she finds her career in trouble she doesn't know where to turn.
Enter Sam Medina. Gorgeous, funny, and in a rut of his own. He and Lola agree to help each other out. What follows is a sweet, sometimes rocky, and very right coming together of 2 people from very different worlds, but each has something the other needs.
I hope this isn't the last installment in this series. I'm already wanting more.
I received this book from the author as an ARC reader in exchange for an honest review. The Lovestruck Series is my favorite series of Rachel's so I had my doubts that should could make me like and root for Lola, but I shouldn't have ever doubted her. I loved Lola and Sam together. I already can't wait for whatever Rachel writes next :)
Thoroughly enjoyed this series and this book did not disappoint. Loved this new perspective on Lola! The story was intertwined with the characters in the other books just enough to tie it all together. I hope this isn't the last book we'll see with these characters.
I really enjoy reading Rachel Schurig books. I was able to get lost in this book and it left me wanting to know more about the other characters who have been introduced in other book.
