OUR STORY
A beat-up old car, a few dollars in the pocket and a sense of adventure. In 1972 that’s all Tony and Maureen Wheeler needed for the trip of a lifetime – across Europe and Asia overland to Australia. It took several months, and at the end – broke but inspired – they sat at their kitchen table writing and stapling together their first travel guide, Across Asia on the Cheap. Within a week they’d sold 1500 copies and Lonely Planet was born. One hundred million guidebooks later, Lonely Planet is the world’s leading travel guide publisher with content to almost every destination on the planet.

I was disappointed. I typically love all things Lonely Planet, and I enjoy this genre of book. I just didn't find it all that interesting and I forced myself to finish it because it was so short. There were some great ideas but nothing particularly novel.

2.5 stars. Was able to get through all 101 while waiting to board a plane. Some good things, some interesting, many just obvious.

For 101 ways to live well, I was expecting it to involve more than just herbs or spices. Dreadful.

I have been given this book as a birthday gift in 2019. I was not feeling much enthusiastic to start reading it last year. generally, I do not like to be guided on how to live well or get life coaching tactics. However, I have picked up Lonely plant's book instantaneously when I first started feeling the Coronavirus quarantine's effects pilling up unpleasantly. The book is for beginners, encompassing thoughtful ideas about different situations in which we experience during some incremental discomfort in settings like home-work- relationships and travel. I liked the books' design, it shows activities' time duration. Very resourceful and provides websites, names of Yogis, and meditation experts.
