Good Reads Book Review
Hood misfit’s volume two is now in the streets of London and it ends up going back to Atlanta for a final show down. The story is about sixteen year old girl named diamond who goes by ray ray who life continues to be on a down fall. She is a hood misfit that with no true family members left. All she has is her new friends that she met from dame’s trap house. Dame is the person behind her parent’s death. Once ray ray (diamond) ends up leaving the trap house she learned to play the game, the game everyone had to know how to use to survive “E.N.G.A”. (Every nigga got agenda.) Throughout her journey to London she learns everyone cannot be trusted including your own blood (family.)
While reading this book you will fall deep into it so deep you will form an attachment into a characters. You will start to visualize what is happening in each scene. The book often appears to seem like it is a movie because of the strong diction that contrast to your five senses. You will also love and hate some of the characters. This book has a lot of plot twist though out the book that are unexpected. Hood misfits is almost four hundred pages long and it took me about two weeks and a couple days to finish. It took me longer to read this book than book one did. Just like book one in my opinion that is still fast. Normally it would take me a month or to finish reading a book but this book did not because of how good of a book it is. I believe book one is a better book because it had more cliff hangers and more suspense.
I would rate this book ten out of ten stars because it was full of surprises. I would say I am excited about book three but I am not that excited because I found out book three is about new characters they are not about any of the characters that are in the book. I would recommend this book to any high school or anyone older than high school. I would not recommend this book to anyone younger than the age of fifteen because of the mild language and the violence that was displayed throughout the book. The only way a preteen should read this book is if they have permission from a parent. I hope that book four will be a continuation of book two it will be a good surprise. I will continue to read books written by brick and storm

The crew is back and they are on a mission. As the crew set out to completer they plan they all have different reason for seeing it through. The person on they hit list has no idea that they are on to him and he is living his last day. The family come together and show they are truly hood misfits.

Part two was better than part one imo. The action was off the hook I had to finish just to see how it all was gonna play out. You are definitely in for a treat with a great shock at the end.

Hood Misfits part 2 was an excellent read. Dame sure got what he deserved and I loved it. Diamond has a few unanswered questions regarding existing family members I hopes she gets some closure on that. Love Ghost she is so sensible and ready for the streets. Trigga is back and I am loving it. Now where are those identical steel grey eyes going to lead us? Into even more trouble cause Karma is a mother. Revenge times two is the name of the game. :-)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ABSOLUTELY WILD… I WAS NOT PREPARED

“Hood Misfits, Volume 2” took everything I thought I knew from the first book and said “nah, let’s turn the heat ALL THE WAY UP.” 🔥

This volume is pure chaos, emotion, violence, loyalty, and heart all wrapped together. The authors do NOT give you a moment to breathe. Every chapter had me clutching my chest. I was pacing. I was talking back to my phone. I had to PAUSE multiple times just to process what I heard.

The writing is intense, fast-paced, and so vivid that I felt like I was in the scenes with them.
The character development??? Crazy.
The plot twists??? INSANE.
The emotions??? I was stressed, shocked, crying, cheering all at the same time!!!

The audiobook narrators deserve AWARDS. The way they bring these characters to life made everything feel 10 times more real.

This book dives deeper into family, loyalty, trauma, survival, and what “E.N.G.A” really means. The stakes are higher, the villains are worse, the love is deeper, and the danger never stops.

If you thought Volume 1 was crazy, Volume 2 will leave you SPEECHLESS.
I finished this book feeling like I just lived through a whole war.

Urban fiction fans — READ THIS SERIES.
I’m hooked. I’m emotionally damaged.

I’m confused on the ratings because when I say it took all my might to get through Vol 2, whew! Between the underage sex, sadistic violence, unnecessary cursing every 3 seconds and painful narration….there’s a lot to unpack! Lol. The epilogue at the end of this one sums up the book. Pure and utter chaos. It’s a strong no for me and I won’t be finishing this series out. Trigga has no limits and Diamond has nothing to lose, well really none of them do and it shows in every chapter.

I'm hooked!!!

I love Trigga & Diamond together. Just when I think it can't get worse it does. Once again another unpredictable, twisted storyline that makes this book a real page-turner. My heart almost stopped when the took Trigga because that's bae. I enjoyed seeing the growth in all the characters since volume 1. I can't wait to read volume 3.

This group has been through a lot to be teenagers. A more realistic timeline would allow me to better buy in to this whole thing. What makes them misfits anyway? The story kept my attention. I plan to read the next installment.

Good storyline and ending of Trigga, Diamond, and the rest of ENGA's hood journey! The story had several grammatical and editing errors but was still an engaging and entertaining read.

The underworld these misfits find themselves in is gory and disturbing, and even the "good guys" are pretty deranged.

Would've been a 3, possibly a 4 but the horrible Jamaican accents will take away the stars every damn time 🙄

Glad the sequel tied everything in and explained each characters position. Trigger just was a young man with a huge past. Nice quick read. It touched on issues people have with family and how family isn't always because of your blood line. I liked it!

I would say that the violence was extraordinary. Heads and arms chopped off are the norm. The characters went from London to Atlanta after mass murders were committed. Hard to fathom. Grammatical errors abounded. I loved the Jamaican patois. Dante was an evil dude. Ghost was my girl in the novel. Even though numerous police were murdered in the ATL, the main characters wound up chilling in Trinidad. It was a good read though. I am not built for that life!!

Brick and Storm take their characters to the next level in this volume. While reading their work it just feels like a graphic novel where a lot of ridiculousness occurs, i.e., the murders, the drug war action, the rapings, etc. They just let their imagination run wild (not that I don't believe stuff like this happens) and put it all in a book.

It was very wordy in detail but i fell in love from part 1 there was no way i wasnt going to finish Ray Ray and Trigga's story. i was a little thrown off by Ghost because of her age i didn't think her actions were realistic but still it made for a great book.

Some errors in the book. But again the story line was excellent and I loved the way it picked back up and had even more drama and action as the first one had. Moving on to book 3!
