Dragon's Christmas Baby

Rate this book
Six months ago, Eben Meiser drove away his business and bed partner with his scroogely ways. Marlie Jacobsen is back now, and she didn’t come alone. Expecting his baby, she needs his help to keep her safe from her new employer’s mob ties. Dragons guard their treasure with their life, and he soon realizes there has never been a better treasure for him than Marlie and the baby she carries. The more time they spend together, the more Eben regrets the past as he tries to keep them safe in the present to ensure they have a future.

This novella is a fun twist on the classic “A Christmas Carol,” reimagined with new elements. It is told entirely in Eben's point-of-view.

I enjoyed this one it was cute. The narrator did a pretty good job. I would like to have seen a little more action Maybe some adventure this would have taken it over the top. I like how they correlate the present past and future. Ebenezer recognizing some of the issues he had and how he was going to correct them. cute and sweet just keeps coming to mind.

Not Overly Memorable

This retelling of the Ebenezer Scrooge story was a quick, mostly entertaining read with a couple twists on the classic story. I wish there had been a little more development of the characters. At times, the story seemed a bit dry.

I read this over a month ago and don’t recall any major editing issues and didn’t highlight any. Honestly, I am not recalling a lot of the details of the story.

Writing quality: Okay
Violence: Some
Sexual content: Yes
Narration: Third person
Plot: Predictable
Pace: Fast
Character development: Semi-developed

The description of this book says it is based on A Christmas Carol. If that's the case, the connection to the Christmas classic is very loose, at best. When I started reading the book, I didn't realize it was supposed to be reminiscent of A Christmas Carol. The first hint I got that there might be any connection was their names. Outside of that, I didn't see too much of the old story reflected in this one - only little bits and pieces here and there. If it weren't for the names, I probably wouldn't have made the connection at all. Regardless, it was a very enjoyable short story. I liked that the entire story was told from Eben's perspective. I don't often come across romances told entirely from the male protagonist's point-of-view, so this was a really nice change of pace. I really enjoyed listening to Nicholas Algernon's narration. He has a great voice for narration. As a whole, I really liked this short story. It was quick, but sweet. The reader definitely gets to see the re-development of Eben and Marley's relationship as well as Eben's self-revelations of where he's gone wrong over the last several years. It was in being able to see how he had let all relationships fall to the way-side while he pursued fortune that he was finally able to see what changes he needed to make in his life. Based on the epilogue, it sounds like he was very successful in doing so. I also loved that Marley told him that they couldn't truly have a relationship or be a family until he decides whether or not that is something he can actually do, despite how much she would love for her daughter to grow up knowing her dad. She didn't want Eben around solely out of a sense of obligation, but instead because he wanted to be, that he was all in. This was a sweet short story with a little bit of danger thrown in. Overall, I very much enjoyed this book and would be more than open to reading more of Kit Fawkes' work.

I like this author and didn't have any problem reading this book. It's a new twist on an old tale. You know Mr Scrooge and tiny Tim...but this one was more interesting cause it involved a dragon and his mate....oh and don't forget his baby too! Very good read...get it and enjoy!

The writing is pretty bad and the focus on sex instead of romance turned me off. I couldn't get past how quickly the woman accepted that dragons are real and that her baby is part dragon. It literally takes her just a couple of minutes! That's asinine.

Great quick read. Marlie & Eben have been having troubles. Both too proud to talk to the other. When in trouble, Marlie has no choice but to ask for help.

Short and sweet. Cute and quick read. It has some action but I feel if the author wanted to, they could add more to the storyline and extend the book. I liked it so much, I wish it was longer.

Dragon's Christmas Baby
by Kit Tunstall, Kit Fawkes
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love to read Christmas stories because they tend to put me in the holiday mood. I really enjoyed Dragon's Christmas Baby by Kit Tunstall, Kit Fawkes. The storyline gave the author time to fully develop the characters and the narrative. Eben Meiser and Marlie Jacobsen came together quickly but emotionally each felt constraints to full acceptance of their feelings. Dragons are very protective of their treasure. Once Eben started to protect Marlie because she is carrying his baby. We also get a better picture of their attraction. Love, passion, danger, babies and a building of a great world, this all adds up to a very satisfying read.

This storyline has my emotions hype up! Eben is definitely regretting the past as he tries to keep them safe. This was a great holiday story of your heart and mind! Full of love, romance and also the beauty of discovering love where you never expected it. Definitely going to be one of my favorites. If you are looking for a fun book to lose yourself in, then I would read this one. I definitely recommend this book. It is a awesome read if you love reading paranormal romance about Dragons! I am voluntarily reviewing this book which was gifted to me by the author with no obligation.

If you believe in the world of paranormal romance, the possibilities are endless and fascinating!

Eben Meiser is a successful business man, but being alone he forgets the important things, like friends and family. When his ex girlfriend shows up fearing for her life and heavily pregnant, he must protect the love of his life and his unborn child from the Mafia, while learning the truly important things in life.

I enjoyed the twist on A Christmas Carol and having the dragon shifter going through the past present and future scenarios, a sweet short story

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

Cute modern and paranormal twist on A Christmas Carol.

Eben and his dragon are only concerned with the business and money. Feelings are messy and have no room in Eben's life.
So naturally when his business partner Marlie starts getting under his skin her pushes her away.

6 months later and Eben is in for a surprise. Marlie needs protection but it's not just her ...

Can Eben protect Marlie and their baby? Will he finally realize that Marlie completes him and his dragon?

Berry good

A little bit of a take on A Christmas Carol, but still different. A love story with a dragon and a baby and action. It was very entertaining.
