Sinclair Stone is the leader of the Stone Society's West Coast Clan. He is the King’s brother and also his right hand. Over the centuries, Sin has shared his bed with males and females alike. He has loved human women, even taking a few as wives, thinking he would never find a mate. Watching his brothers find their mates is bittersweet until Sin is knocked to his knees. Literally. Someone is making Sin crazy. He just has to figure out who it is.

Raquel “Rocky” Cartwright is broken. She lost her parents when she was ten, and her life has spiraled downward ever since. Some events were out of her hands, but some were the product of the bad choices she made, and Rocky takes accountability for those. She thinks she has nothing to offer a man except her body, and even that isn’t whole. When Rocky encounters a man who was supposed to be a one-night stand, things once again spiral out of control. Only this time, it’s for the better. Or so he tries to convince her.

When Sin meets Rocky, he faces the biggest challenge of his long life – convincing his mate she’s worthy. He’ll do whatever it takes to make her see she is more than something for men to use. Rocky is more.

Faith Gibson's love of books started early on. So much so that she decided to write her own stories. When a college professor told her she had a gift, she took him at his word and put pen to paper (because back then, there were no computers. Shh, we don't mention her age.)

Her love of all things paranormal mixed with crazy dreams led to her first series, The Stone Society, about Gargoyle shifters in search of their mates while protecting humanity from unhinged beasts known as The Unholy. The Hounds of Zeus MC series was born from one of their own being a mate of a Gargoyle. The Rebel Moon Shifters are the next generation, all the kids from the first two series.

Faith also abbles in MM worlds and contemporary suspense, but her first and forever love is fantasy.

When Faith isn’t hard at work on her next story, she can be found reading, cooking, playing in the dirt (planting stuff) or playing with her staffy pup, all while listening to hard rock music.

For 2 years we have heard about Sinclair Stone, the younger brother to the King of the Gargoyle and I for one have been anxiously awaiting his story. Let me just say that is was well worth the wait!

Sin, as he is called by family and friends, lives up to his name. He is a very private, somewhat mysterious male and he absolutely oozes sex appeal with every turn of the page.

Throughout his life, Sin has always been a lover of women. And even though he had been married to a couple of human wives, he never found his mate. Once his brother, the King, and other members of the Stone Society clan began to find their mates, he feared he would live out his life alone.

Down on her luck and having lived a less than stellar existence, Raquel “Rocky” Cartwright has decided she will never be more than a toy to men. She deems herself damaged and sees her future being alone, her only love coming from her best friend.

Over the course of a few days, Sin begins to realize that he has been in the company of his mate. The problem is, he does not know who it is. Each time he has exhibited the same signs his brothers had spoken of he was around the same person. A dude! While he is not against male/male mates, he always assumed his mate would be a woman. When a business opportunity comes up, Sin is brought face to face with his true mate. The person he is fated to be with for eternity. Now all he has to do is convince his mate of this so they can live a long happy life together… yeah, easier said than done!

Ok, here’s the deal… Sin is a fantastic read. Faith Gibson, as usual, has incorporated an exciting story replete with secrets, heroes and villains, adventure and hot sex. However, in this book the sex is taken to the next level. We are gifted with a variety of kink in Sin and OMG it is hot. So, with all of that said, the real meat of the story lies in the history of the characters. Rocky’s past is not simply a troubled childhood; at times it is heartbreaking. For some with abuse triggers, the storyline may be a bit hard to read at times, but I assure you, as with all of the Stone Society books, there is an HEA. You will fall in love with Sin and Rocky just as I Have.

For us hardcore Stone Society fans, Faith has yet again managed to tease us with visions of books to come and I must say I am quite enjoying this prolonged foreplay. With each new little tidbit I read about Uri or Julian, I would want to email Faith Gibson and beg her for more. I continue to be highly impressed with Faith’s ability to not only tell a complete story, from beginning to end, but she also weaves in the start of books to come. She sets up the scene making the reader want more the minute we get to the end.

To sum it up, I FLOVE Sin and I might even go so far as to say he has tied Frey for the title of sexiest Goyle and his story has tied Jasper for best book. Even if you are not a “fan of paranormal” I would still highly recommend you read this book. It offers all of the feels and more. I happily rate Sin 5 glorious stars.

***I not only read a complimentary version of Sin, but I have also purchased it to add to my ever growing Stone Society Collection.

So far this is my least favorite of the books. Everything started off kinda of seedy/sleazy for me. I like Sin, and I like Rocky, but I just felt that too many bad things KEPT on happening.

The Goyles have heightened senses, yet these idiots kept getting the best of them. As a person born and raised in California, I guess I felt some kind of way about how everything was so casual.

Rocky who claimed to have a sixth sense foe not trusting people, didn't question why after 3 yrs a person she fired was coming from the back of her business ( office area ) after she had been kidnapped and drugged the first time, she continued to ignore the security around her. Security also kept getting distracted by the slightest things.

It just felt like they weren't as serious because Cali is soo laid back. Fin was too busy chasing tail and Banyan was fighting with his mate.

Also, I think the underlying Uri/Fin/Banyan storyline kind of convoluted Sin & Rocky's story.

Also, just how "broken" does a person need to be. Mom dies of cancer, dad dies of broken heart, sent to live w/heartless theiving aunt, raped by stupid cousin, rendered barren by cousin, roofied on 1st date, slowly turned into an addict, turned into junkie stripper, losing business due to drug habit after a while I was like DAMN!!!!!

Heat level was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and I will continue on with the series. Well written just very heavy, I felt even heavier than Frey.

Sin, Sin, Sin...
Ladies you will need plenty of tissues with this book. Rocky had a horrible life until Sinclair came into it. Together they made each other whole.
Even though this is a standalone I would recommend starting with the first book Rafael. That way you aren't lost.
Steam factor 8.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Love is Everything

If you look hard enough with faith love will be found. It will surprise you if you open up to it and let it in. Very emotional book. With a heart that's open I feel this story we all could learn from.

This is not one of my favorites in the series but it isn't my least favorite, either. There wasn't much of a story here. I didn't really like Rocky. I don't mean it in a snobby way but she is a bit trashy. Her best friend was definitely trashy and I was glad when her bestie wasn't a mate to another goyle. It is not that she was poor or that she is a recovering addict. Before Rafe has a child, Sin is next in line to be king and Rocky is definitely not queen material. For that matter, Sin doesn't seem like the best person to be king but would be better than Rocky.

Here's a quote that underlines how rough around the edges Rocky is: "Rocky crushed the cigarette out on the bottom of her shoe and shoved the butt in her pocket."

Most of the story here is non-PNR related. It is about her drug dealer / strip club owning ex and her crappy family. We don't see much of the Stone clan as a whole in this one. Given both of those things, it is surprising it is still 35% before our main characters meet. Sin had been smelling her but couldn't narrow it down before. I really didn't like that it took that long for them to even meet.

Sin was excellent at dirty talking. If that is too much for you, I'd skip this series.

This whole series is full of some pretty big plot holes and some errors in a lot of things that could be very easily researched. In this book, she states the Stone family purchased a private plane because they were flying so often it was cheaper to buy their own plane. This is very inaccurate but is a common misconception. Owning your own plane is extremely expensive. One flight can cost tens of thousands. People buy private jets for convenience and efficiency. Being able to have a business meeting while flying can be financially advantageous but recouping the cost of tickets just doesn't happen. She actually makes errors about flying in many places. Stopping to refuel is never considered. Flight range isn't either. These are things that would be very easy to find out.

Another flight error in this book is she claims there isn't room on their private jet for six adults on the plane. Any plane with the range to fly to Italy from the US would be large enough for 6 people even if they are 6'6".

I like the core stories and the general premise of this series. I really have enjoyed it but would like to see her research better, talk through her plots with others who can point out glaring errors, hire a better editor, use a more everyday vocabulary as no one speaks in such a dry manner without being made fun of, and write in first person. I also would like it if she dropped the "new" in front of every city name. Historically, that name is given when a city is built in a new territory with the name of the city in the old one. New York didn't replace an old one in the same spot. It was to copy York from England.

I would like to see her keep the ability to write about 17+ different couples and only have one that seemed similar, use some more advanced vocabulary, write strong alphas with an unerring moral compass, continue to tie in past and future main characters in every book, give us the POVs of a lot of people in the story, have the stories take place all over the world, give us a wide variety of different personalities in our heroines, give us more kids with special abilities, and go back to Kindle Unlimited (book 15 isn't on KU).

This series was amazing until i came to this book. There's something about this California set that didn't endear them to me.
*Any and all connection between the "brothers" didn't seem real.
*They now know they can get to mate with humans, but they bring hook ups home and have threesomes and foursomes. No respect for the mate who would come to live in that same house.
*And when they suspect their mate might be near, they run away and have unnecessary angst that doesn't make sense.
*Finley behaves with a casual hookup (Vivian) like other's in the previous books behave with their mates.
*I hated that sex scene with Sin and the others in the 1st chapter (WTH???). Reading sex scenes of the MC's with OW and OM is one of my major triggers. Besides that, Sin invites Urijah to join him and Finley with the two women in bed. Knowing there's something going on between the two guys, he makes Urijah jealous by letting him watch them being intimate. What??? Its a total 180 when it comes to the character of these men compared to the New Atlanta group. This book made me nauseous from the get go and didn't let up until the end, no matter how the story went, i just couldn't let go of the hollow feeling i had. I just wanted it to end and go to Julian's story. The men in California didn't seem to have any morals or boundaries as seen by their actions. It felt like someone else wrote this book trying to imitate ms. Gibson's writing.
*Finally, ROCKY! This woman took the prize at making the worst descions, and continues to make them. She's the girl in the horror movie who goes to investige the sound despite the bad feeling and gets killed. TSTL female!

Suffice it to say, i'm not looking forward to Urijah and Banyan's story. And forget about Finley, i don't even what to hear any mention of him in any other books. He makes me nauseous, the way he behaves with Vivian. His only saving grace is keeping himself away from Urijah once he realised he's Banyan's mate. I know this is fiction, but I wish Sixx and his family stay in New Atlanta with the best people and best part of this series. I know everyone loved this book and will like Urijah's book, but they are not my type of people. I have to read through these two books because of the plot, so as not to miss out on the lives of my favourite New Atlanta gargoyles. The main difference between the previous books Gargoyles and these Cali Gargoyles is that, despite their hard lives, how they triumphed in the end made me respect them and love them. I felt no respect or love for the Cali gargoyles or their mates (except Sixx and his family).

Sinfully Good!

This review is from: Sin (The Stone Society Book 8) (Kindle Edition)
Sin, Rafael's brother lives in California to take care of the Unholy on that end of the continent & even though he's been married many times he's never found his mate before now.

Rocky as she like to be called has had her fair share of bad tragedies in her life & she's just starting to bounce back from the most recent one when she meets Sinclair or Sin as he's called most of the time.

At 1st Rocky doesn't know how she feels about him but does try to take it 1 day at a time; Sin after finally getting her to stay at his home has to go to Greece to look like he is Rafael coming to see his mother as they haven't been able to get ahold of her by phone.

But, on his way there Sin gets a terrible feeling that something has happened to Rocky; & he was right & he immediately turns the plane around to go back & be with her. The 2 bad men in her life were trying to get her to bend to their will again & 1 of them took it a little too far.

But, you will need to read the book to find out what happens next as I don't like to give away all of the book's secrets. This was a very good book & I will definitely be reading the next book in this series.

Ms. Gibson's writing just keeps getting better. I love how well she develops her characters. This book takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

Sinclair Stone is the leader of the West Coast Clan and second in line behind Rafael. Only three years younger he desperately wants to find his mate. All of his brothers and cousins are finding their mates and he just thinks she is not out there. He's had multiple human wives, but he's looking for a deeper connection that only a mate would provide.

Raquel, AKA Rocky, has had a hard life since her parent's death. Rocky has a dark past one filled with drugs, stripping and sexual abuse. She never wants to get involved with another man since the two in her past were such monsters. She closes her heart to finding love.

Sin and Rocky are mates and have their ups and downs in the relationship. Sin has to get Rocky to believe in him and when he says he will never hurt her. Will Rocky be able to overcome her past and let Sin into her heart?

I cant get enough!

So much excitement packed into one book but it never seems like I can get enough! Join me in my obsession and start reading about these hunky Gargoyles. You must start with book one though.
Rocky has had a rough time since her parents died when she was just entering her teen years. The aunt and cousin she lived with didn't treat her well.
At age 21, her uncle left his bar business to her after his passing. Things got better for a short time but went downhill fast. All thanks to a man.
Sinclair goes to her bar to meet up with another Goyle and starts feeling sick. He realizes it means his mate is around but the scent seems to emminate from a man and he knows that can't be right. He has to figure out who it is. Then he has to save her from a couple of really bad men.

We get sneak peaks into lives other than these main two characters. We touch base with Fin, Banyan, Uri, Julian as well as Alastair, Kallisto, Drago and "Landon".

Not my favorite.

I love The Stone Society series, but this one was not my favorite one. I almost gave up when when the couple STILL hadn't met a quarter of the way through. Sin just kept running away when he felt sick yet he wanted a mate so badly. I was getting so frustrated with that. The guy smelling like his woman was not excuse enough for me. I pushed thru and they finally met up about a third of the way through and the story picked up just fine. I also don't care for so much head talk but I have read much worse books in that area. Otherwise, this was still an AWESOME story. I love a complicated plot done well. And this was done very well. I can't wait for Julian to come. But, Faith, don't forget the other gargoyles. They all deserve their own HEA. I don't want to say good bye anytime soon. (Now if only you could write faster.

Ah book 8

Not my favorite book *cough*jasper*cough* but at least it tried to move the main plot along. It felt like this book was all about sex and shock factors instead of the actual story. Like if the reader was shocked enough it detract from a lack of depth. But the depth was there and some of the scenes are just added to for no reason. I'm all for some serious heat but I caught myself rolling my eyes a few times because "of course" they would do *that* for no reason whatsoever. The characters were great and the writing was as great as ever but it really seemed like the writer was just trying to get a rise out of this book. Still one of the best series I've read and nothing changes that. On to Julian!

This series has had me hooked from the very beginning and Sin's story is not an easy one. Resigned to not having a mate, watching his clan members find theirs, my heart ached for him. But when you least expect it, something special drops into your lap. Sin and Raquel's love story is not an easy one to read, pain, addiction, danger, treachery are only part of what these two face. They're happily ever after is hard fought for and the reader feels every bit of the emotions these two face. As this is part of a series, I really recommend you read all the books in sequence, it's vital to understand the underlying storyline that surrounds each couple. Look forward to your next in the series Faith.

This is book 8 in the Stone Society series and I swear each book in the series gets better and better. Sinclair nick named Sin is the younger brother of the King Rafael and boy does he live up to his name. Sin just oozes sexy alpha and has no problem bedding females and the occasional male but is jealous of the other Goyles that have found their mates. When he finally meets his mate Rocky, he has his work cut out for him. Rocky has had the hard life and just trying to stay a float and not drown from past mistakes. This book is very emotional and a this series is a MUST read. Off to read book 9.

Great add to the series. Loved Sin since we met him in previous books so it's great he finally finds his mate. This book also shows light on other characters as the plot develops. Rocky's story was definitely the most heartbreaking to me so far, so the fact that she gets a happily ever after with Sin made me cry happy tears! Can't wait for more couples we saw briefly in this book, can't wait for the next.

I could’ve skipped this one...

This was the hardest book I have struggled to get through in a while...I can usually read Faith’s books in 2 days...This one took a week...I started, stopped, and started again...Frustration overload for sure...If I wasn’t a stickler about sequence I would have dropped it. All the mates stories are tough on them, but this was downright horrendous...it just kept getting worse. Now on to Julian..!!

Best in the serie so far. Balance between action and romance is better. Previous books leaned heavier on the sex side and action episode were quickly dealt with. I hope next ones will be more in line with this one. I hope we will get to see more about special gifts.
