THEM HORRORS BE EVERYWHERE is the last part of the triptych that began with HERE BE NIGHTMARES and continued with THERE BE MONSTERS.

Discover the horrors:

— of an uninvited twilight when the netherworld opens its doors for the lucky few.

— when all Polly ever wanted was to be beautiful beyond her wildest dreams.

— where a disco of regrets appear only for some people at the right time
at the right place.

— in the red mansion that is hungry for love, company, and that one thing that will keep it alive.

May the nightmares, monsters and horrors be laid to rest forevermore—unless our conscience unearths them!

THEM HORRORS BE EVERYWHERE is final part of Julya Oui collections of horror stories at Fixi Novo after Here Be Nightmares and There Be Monster. Them Horrors Be Everywhere is a collection of 13 shorts/novellas.
It is NOT about thick oozing red thick blood or slimy green puke. She is a very tactfully smart storyteller laden with human expressions. Introducing some scientific terms on sickness and curses related and relevant to story lines. The collection clearly sounds matured when writer has chosen to portray human sexuality here and there, turbulence of emotion due to fate and desire.

Plots were twisted here and there; leaving you with unconventional feelings… it’s not about cold nights, dog barking or eerily standing body hair. It is smarter than that. Among the 13 stories, SPIRIT OF THE COIN is my favorite, unlike what you have in your mind, this one has a special twist! How about the other 12? Very well balanced, entertaining and mesmerizing indeed.

It’s a masterpiece I should say, the techniques used in this collection will indeed be handy for those writing horror genre. I can see this book going very far… You can imagine a movie while reading it.

5 star. Bravo

Always the Beauty and Don't You Dare Forget Me...tales of obsession and past crimes. We see the painful sides of reality gnawing at us an inch at a time. We cannot deny the truth in both stories as they reflect the current society we live in. Obsession, desperation, the ridiculous lengths that women go to just to be beautiful, stay beautiful and to be called beautiful. Not superficial. True story :) It always looks silly when other women go after beauty...when we are on the outside looking in of course! In Always the Beauty, the need and want to be perceived as beautiful is so damaging...that the protagonist finds herself in a compromising position and still musters the strength to deal with her colleagues...like she's saying you get what you asked for?! There is a price to pay, clearly!

Then there's the Pedophile in Don't You Dare Forget Me...interesting. Karma is a bitch, perhaps?
