Była naprawdę świetna. Napisana jednocześnie naukowo, pouczająco, a mimo to snująca opowieść „przy kominku” o archeologii i historii Starożytnego Egiptu. Dobrze wyważona, logicznie napisana i do tego ładnym językiem. Co dla mnie istotne — nie potrzeba być znawcą tematu, by znaleźć tu coś dla siebie, zrozumieć, o czym mowa.

Prof. Myśliwiec is undoubtedly not only a renowned archaeologist but also a gifted storyteller. This book is a popular overview of the Polish excavations at Saqqara, to the west of the famous Step Pyramid of Djoser, and fully achieves its goal. It is both informative and interesting, and also very well told.
