This is the latest novella in this series I've read, and each on I rated 3-4 stars more 4's then 3. I'm not going to keep reviewing them, you can read the 1st 10 to see what I thought or you can download the first one for free on Amazon I really recommend you do that if you like witch stories or funny British humor.
There were too many cases started all at once in the story and none of them were very significant. One includes dying clowns. None of them were actually murdered though. They were all self imposed accidents and the situation was set up by the leader of the clown organization for money. Jill goes to CASS but she doesn’t give her speech because a creature gets in and steals a child. Jill saves the day and she’s not exactly sure how she knew where to go and what to do, but she did. Jill also finds out that there’s a witch Hunter in town and she thinks it’s her weird new neighbor, but then she finds out it’s guy at the gym. She defeats him as well. Other than that, this book was somewhat uneventful. Jack has been bringing up marriage more but no proposal yet.

I'm tiring of this series. It's too heavy on the punny names for characters, and Jill isn't half as funny as she thinks she is. I went in to this series without any real expections, thus far, I've not been enthralled by the storylines, character development, or much else. I find none of the recurring characters particulary enjoyable, and the constnat "mustn't tell xxx that I'm a witch" was old by book three. I'll likely finish the series, just because I dislike unfinished business, and they are a quick read (a few hours, a day at most, unless I'm extremely busy and don't have reading time.)
Mrs. V acts nasty, Kathy likes Murray Murray, the Colonel's ghost has a major house problem, there's the National Organization of Clown Acts, clowns being murdered, Mrs. Mopp is still working as a house cleaner for them, Winky is learning hypnosis, Jills' Grandma has a baby dragon in a cage in her store's window, and Lizzie sees a ghost.
And that's not all that is going on. There's a witchhunter that kills witches, Jill FINALLY pulls one over on Winky, Amber and Pearl have yet another dumb idea for their store and Jill's grandma decides to have a birthday party for herself. Jill goes to CASS to give her speech and, of course, something goes majorly wrong while she's there. The witchfinder attacks Jill.
A very, very busy novel and that actually helps make it better than the usual novel in the series.
Very entertaining series. A private I who lives in England and find out she is actually a witch. She grew up with her adoptive family in the human world and then find out she’s a witch and has a whole other family in the supernatural world. She must drive a line between the two worlds while solving crimes and mysteries in both. Very entertaining group of characters including a cantankerous old grandma witch. And a one eyed cat. You will not be disappointed check it out
Jill is up to her usual assortment of mysteries in this book, all of which are very different and imaginative. That’s what I love about this series: there are always more mysteries to solve! Plus, I enjoy being entertained by the whole cast of characters. I really liked the ending this time, although it wasn’t what I expected. I expected an ending related to the title of the book. But, it was not to be . . . Yet.
But it isn't a witchfinder, they should be called "witch hunters" or "witch killers". And there's one in the area, after Jill and Grandma. But who? And how will Jill deal with that on top of a case for clowns and her crazy family?
I love the cases Jill is involved with, both in the Human and Sup worlds. Her exploration of her powers is more exciting and she has found a better balance between her eccentric family, her witch duties, her job and her love life. I am enjoying this set of the series.
Witch Is Why Two Became One(A Witch P.I.Mystery Book 16)
This was a very good book how ever I do wish the author had done more to make it more interesting.I look forward to reading more of this author's work.
Absolutely wonderful characters that interact with each other beautiful. Fabulous plot twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommend this series.
I am going to have to pace myself with the remaining books. This series is so engaging & so easy to read. I love Winky. I swear that my own cat has some of his qualities. The families are charming as well, even Grandma.
I enjoyed this book. Jill the main character was busier in this book with more cases to solve. It will be interesting to see how her relationship with Jack progresses, and her craft.
A witchfinder is in town and Jill thinks he live's across the street from her. A new neighbour but is it him? How can she be certain? Does he have the mark?
