Book #2

I am reading Book #2. Why? Don't know. Maybe it is the first book I have read from a millennial/liberal viewpoint.

A few items that drove me crazy.

So Mr. Smith was the kind of man who was willing to beat and drown his brother to death. This wasn't a man with whom Mack could have a civil conversation. Well duh. Your liberal beliefs keep you from take action. Saul told him repeatedly that Mr. Smith was a bad man. Thank goodness it is an apocalypse, and or getting ready to retire.

"Previously, Saul had portrayed himself a simple man who had found this group by accident and only joined them as they offered safety, but clearly there was much more to it than that." NO HE DIDN'T.

So Mack says " This was a supposedly enlightened community".....what? It is a slave labor camp. He is delusional.

Am I reading book #3. Sure am.

The story is O.K. I don't really care for the characters, Mack seems to much of a pacifist, even though he will jump into a fight he always tries to talk first, even to someone who he knows is crazy. I know that's a pretty good character trait in someone if the world is not falling apart. My opinion will probably not be yours, I suggest reading it .. especially if you have kindle unlimited since its free there.

Ok, this series is going downhill quickly. I don't like the characters, the plot, the developing story line, what's left? I find myself wanting to reach out and smack Mack on both sides of the face, I can only assume that he will continue to pontificate thru out the series, is this really the way Liberals think? How many times are we to read how Luis hated his family? How many times will we read about how Grace misses her keyboard in this new Apocalyptic world? What can I say, I'm a glutton for punishment so I'll read for as long as I can, besides they cost nothing.
