Selain langkanya, ketertarikan kita pada luar angkasa yang jauh itu mungkin juga disebabkan oleh kedekatan kita yang selama ini mungkin belum kita sadari. Kita ternyata jauh lebih dekat dengan bintang-bintang cemerlang di angkasa sana, lebih dari yang kita duga. Dalam bukunya ini, penulis menggambarkan betapa sesungguhnya manusia memiliki keterkaitan yang begitu erat dengan benda-benda langit. Tidak hanya unsur-unsur pembentuk tubuh kita yang konon muncul saat bintang-bintang terbentuk, tetapi juga kehidupan di Bumi sendiri tidak bisa lepas dari kondisi-kondisi luar angkasa yang memungkinkan kita untuk membangun peradaban. So interesting!
The book describes the correlation between our life on earth and the universe, explained with the sciences. For example, how came water to be on our earth?
You can see how the author is living for his profession in astronomy and has such a passion for it.

It's clearly structured and you don't have to have a huge understanding for astonomy, physics etc. to read this book. It's easy to read, but at the same time it goes into depth and I learned a lot even if I have some basic understanding of these things. So it's for beginners and intermediate people.

I’m in love with this book . It has almost all the answers . Very detailed, lucid and interesting. If you like astronomy and you want to know more about every possible aspect you should definitely read it . It is not theoretical book , it’s more facts . Even tho there are some ideas that involve theoretical physics . A must read book

An introductory read to the science of the universe. Author did well on transforming every information to smaller and easier chunks, good for anyone even those who are without science background. Was expecting more though because for me this only brushes over the topic (which is probably intentional). This doesn’t cover the fundamentals like science of atoms, and only skims a bit on dark matter and dark energy. It seems like author decided to discuss only the outer layer and not to go too deep into the fundamentals and technicalities.
