Hope: Meditations Before, During, and After Advent

Rate this book
Advent is a season of waiting, hoping, and looking forward to what God has. It ends with the birth of Jesus, the promised One, and it is the season where we are reminded of the person and reasons for which we live. In this book of meditations, Michael follows the story of Mary, Joseph, and Jesus, reflecting upon scriptural truths for our own waiting, hoping, and looking.

Michael’s tone is straightforward, clear, and personal. The daily meditations are brief and pointed. Each reading includes questions and a one-sentence prayer to enrich your devotional practice. You can read the daily meditation to begin your day and have material to revisit throughout it. The book incorporates messages of grace and blessing, waiting and curiosity, wonder and purpose. This book will give you language to pray, questions to ask, and truths to live. God has made promises and God keeps those promises. Look ahead to this season with hope.

Full of wisdom and insight

This was a very encouraging advent devotional with perspective I haven’t seen before about the Christmas story. I borrowed it through KU but then bought it. I expected 25 days for advent but it has 90 days of devotionals. Highly recommend!
