Intentional Parenting: 10 ways to be an exceptional parent in a quick fix world

Rate this book
This is a parenting guide and workbook, excellent for doing in a class on or your own. It helps you gauge the importance of your role as a parent, avoiding being a "quick-fix" parent, and work through various exercises to become the type of parent that sets the foundations of a great family.

These include: Strong belief, 24/7 role model, encouraging words, genuine affection, consistent presence, peaceful home, delicate discipline, active responsibility, positive memories, serious fun.

It can be done in combination with a humorous DVD as well. It comes at this from the perspective of a Christian, Jesus-following worldview, but is welcoming to all who are interested in becoming an intentional parent.

Loved this book! Read it with my wife and with my small group (couples with kids 10 and under). Led to lots of great reflection and conversations. Really love the workbook style—it feels like 30% reading, 70% ***intentionally reflecting and planning***. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

AMAZING book and resource. So practical. Another “feels like it should be a requirement to read when becoming a parent”.
