Great story about Two lawyers who battle it out in court- a story about right and wrong. The two lawyers then meet outside of court and it becomes a battle even there. They try to prove whose right and whose wrong but then they develop feelings for one another. Andrei is use to defending the bad guys while Victoria is used to defending the underdogs aka t he defendants. In this case, she is prosecuting bad guys. She is looked down on because she is a woman yet when she and Andrei meet outside of court , it is fireworks . There is chemistry between them and Victoria is then hit with a feeling of need and want. But the thought of would happen if their jobs would collide, has her holding back...what happens will be the biggest win of all for them both.

SIZZLING ROMANCE

A sensuous romantic tale about believing in yourself, learning your priorities, trust, and finding the forever lasting love that soothes your soul. Witty-dialogue, true friendship, family love, emotional moments, drama, powerful vivid scene descriptions, and a few surprises capture and hold your interest until the end. There is a happy ending, but there are a few hurdles that need to be dealt with until it is reached.

Victoria Bellamy is beautiful, sexy, intelligent, and the New York Assistant District Attorney. She takes her career seriously and does not have time for long term relationships. This day she is in court and the defense attorney is Andrei Rusak, a strikingly handsome tall man which of course attracts her attention. While pleading the defense case to the judge and jury Andrei can’t help but check Victoria out as a woman, not an ADA. He is captivated by her curvy figure, beauty, finds her intriguing as new found desires swirl within him. A romance flourishes between the two. Andrei has a secret which may ruin his chances with Victoria because he did not tell her before they got involved.

The story is fast paced, wonderfully written and the author immediately grabs you with praiseworthy characters, delightful humor and flirtatious scenes. The fusion of reality and fantasy make this story more intriguing. I adored Victoria’s sass and that she was not afraid to speak her mind to Andrei or her boss. Andrei was certainly a lucky man to finally find a strong loving woman who fit him perfectly. He does sport an alpha persona but his tender side shines in this story. Their romance is filled with devotion and sizzling passion. I found this to be extremely entertaining and adored the ending too. If you enjoy fantasy romance, this is a terrific book for your library. In the world of fantasy romance, the magic begins with the first thought to paper. {I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy}. I haven’t read anything by Alyse Zaftig before but have heard about some of her books so was keen to try this one.
Being a beautiful and sexy female in a male dominated profession already means that Victoria Bellamy has a lot to contend with. Not taken seriously by some she has risen to be an Assistant District Attorney. It is while prosecuting a case that she first comes across Andrei Rusak as he is the defence attorney up against her.
Andrei is captivated by the beauty across from him. Never one to think he would fall in love and settle down but that might be about to change.
I enjoyed the pace that the story went along at and thought that the main characters made quite a good couple. It was a well written story that I was happy to spend the day reading.

Alyse Zaftig is a very good author and one I have been following for a while now. I really love her work and how she can make a bad boy look too good to be true. In this story, she takes an all too confidant lawyer and pits him up against another lawyer who is just as good as he is and this lawyer is a female. Andrei Rusak believes himself to be an animal in the courtroom and in the bed. He is known for winning all his cases and for having a lady every night. Victoria Bellamy is equally as good a lawyer as Andrei. She enters court expecting a slam dunk until she sees that she up against Andrei. Now the battle is on. She doesn’t want anything to do with a Russian Lawyer, but her body won’t cooperate with her. Which lawyer will win, or will they both?

Victoria Bellamy and Andrei Rusak meet in the courtroom as opposing counsel and they're both intent on winning their case. Afterwards, Victoria sprains her ankle and Andrei is there to save the day. The romance happens quickly and the characters themselves acknowledge this fact -- thank you. Victoria and Andrei had conflicts to be resolved -- but neither were a deal breaker in my opinion. This is a light, fast and enjoyable read.

This is my first time reading a book by this author. I would have scored this story higher, but there were too many errors for me to overlook. Still, I liked this story, so now I'm more inclined to read her other books ... soon.

Victoria is a kick butt ADA for New York city and is in no way prepared for Andrei. He is a defence attorney for the rich, and makes his attraction to her known very quickly. After an accident, Andrei insists on staying with Victoria until she is back on her feet. She soon finds herself attracted to, and in bed with Andrei. This is a hot and sexy, sweet romance, the characters have to compromise, and Victoria will have to choose between career and love. Fantastic book!

Victoria is a ADA and very good at what she does for a living, they didnt name her the Pittbull Bellamy for nothing as she is there to put away the bad guys no matter what. She has no family near by and she is used to taking care of herself that means all aspects of her life. Enter Andrei a Man who is also a Lawyer but one that has this instant attraction to Victoria and the day they meet he starts to take care of her even in small ways. Victoria will need to learn to open up more with letting others help take care of her, and Andrei will need to be more Patient as to not push her away.

What I enjoyed most about Rouge Hearts is watching a strong independent woman learn what it is like to have a man who understands her and her job with all the crazy hours and everything else it entails, Andrei finding something else to live for in his new relationship with Victoria and the feelings he has for her that he has never felt for anyone else before, Victoria has decisions to make for her career and she isnt going to let what Andrei says deter her decision, and watching Andrei being there to show her how he really feels for her and hoping that she will not take the job as he cant see his life without her in it.

This is a great story! This book has a Woman who is independent and takes care of her job as that is pretty much her life as she has no relationships, kids etc, Andrei a man who is dang good at his job and meets a woman whom he cant keep his eyes off, Lawyers that will get in a relationship that can mess up both of their jobs as they cant face off in court being together, a job offer for her that would move her out of state, a baby that can change everything, A love story. If you like stories like this, the Rouge Hearts is a must!

What I liked/Didn’t Like: This was a very good sensuous romance story with lots of wit, friendship, family, and drama. The author paints very vivid scenes with her words. I would definitely recommend this book.

Andrei is use to defending the bad guys or the ones stupid enough to get caught in the act. What he didn't expect was a gorgeous woman with curves and legs for miles to be in the courtroom. Just looking at her sets his insides on fire. But will she give him a chance?
Victoria is used to being looked down upon. Part of that is just being a woman. Who most people tend to think she couldn't do the job. Her nickname Pitbull Bellamy. But when she sees the lawyer on the other side of the courtroom. She is struck with a feeling of want. But the thought of would happen if their jobs would collide, has her holding back...... but holding back never really her strong suit.

Maybe it's the lawyer in me, but I love a good romance that starts in the courtroom between adversaries. Victoria and Andrei meet on opposite sides of counsel table and, after a crushing defeat in the courtroom, Victoria suffers an additional blow, literally, as her crash with Andrei lands her in the hospital and needing help to get around.

Their road to happiness isn't smooth and was sometimes predictable, but the story was enjoyable. I really liked Andrei - both for his courtroom antics and the way his bad boy ways just melt away for the right woman.

Victoria Bellamy is the New York Assistant District Attorney and Andrei Rusak is a defense Attorney. Things moved very quickly between them after seeing each other across the court room. I loved the story. I have read several of Alyse Zaftig's books which I liked, but I think this one is my favorite. You have two lawyers, but they are on opposite sides of the bench. You also have a white male and a black female. So what! It is a fun book to read, as well as it is sizzling hot. I do not consider this book a bad b book though, because there is not anything bad about Andrei. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced copy, and I highly recommend this book.

Rouge Hearts was a good romance read that I enjoyed. I enjoyed reading Andre and Victoria's story. I felt the characters were believable. I liked how independent and smart she was. I thought Andre was a bit cocky at times but he was very likable as well. The two of them together was perfect. Their chemistry was very strong and had a lot of give and take. There were times I was a it annoyed through the book but nothing too bad. I will definitely find some more of this author's books to read. I would recommend Rouge Hearts to anyone who enjoys romance books.

This was a good read but Andrei didn't come off as much of a bad boy. The story was good and things moved very quickly. Family relationship could have been more developed but all in all a good book.

I love the story and the characters. Andrei and Victoria have great chemistry together! I recommend reading this book! I'm looking forward to reading more books written by Alyse Zaftig.
