Hey, I’m Amy, I write books for folks who crave laugh-out-loud paranormal mysteries. I help bring humor into readers’ lives. I’ve got a Pharm D in pharmacy, a BA in Creative Writing and a Masters in Life. And when I’m not writing or chasing around two small children (one of which is four going on thirteen), I can be found antique shopping for a great deal, getting my roots touched up (because that’s an every four week job) and figuring out when I can get back to Disney World. If you’re dying to know more about my wacky life, here are three things you don’t know about me. —In college I spent a semester at Marvel Comics working in the X-Men office. —I worked at Carnegie Hall. —I grew up in a barbecue restaurant—literally. My parents owned one. If you want to reach out to me—and I love to hear from readers—you can email me at amyboylesauthor@gmail.com. Happy reading!
I've tried to like this series, but I can't. The main character is so whiny and annoying. I can't stand her. Her complaints make no sense and, in the end, she always solves the mysteries that even the real investigator couldn't solve by himself. So this was my final attempt.
Poor Dylan....all she wants to do is live a normal life without magic! But that is not how the fates have written it. I love this series! This family of women are so close. They take care of each other at all cost. The men are studly and droolworthy. The characters are well formed and the writing is smooth and delightful to read. I recommend this to anyone who likes a little mischief and a little romance in a cute witchy way.
. I was so excited to find this witch mystery through Kindle Unlimited. I like an extended series, which gives the reader the opportunity to spend time with a defined group of characters, hopefully, who grow in depth.
This third installment has finally developed a more believable experience. It does have some eclectic characters, but none that are extremely compelling still. The heroine is finally starting to reflect some character growth and the relationship between the H/H seems to be barreling along.. Since we are getting to know them better, it is a little easier to understand some of the experiences than at the beginning of the series.
There are some minor grammatical errors. It is a clean read and contains an H.E.A. regarding the dead body. It is able to stand on its own, but the series will probably be better understood if read in order.
This is #3 in the Bless Your Witch series. A delightful cross between Bewitched, Charmed and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. The family is called to Castle Witch for the election of the new queen. The face off begins with the wicked witch, who wants to take over Fairyland, winning by a hair on her chin. She also ends up dead a few minutes later. Dylan is voted in as temporary Queen Witch until the murder is solved.
Fun and entertaining with a slight mystery twisted into the mix.
Another great story in the series. Great cast of characters extremely entertaining a witchy cozy mystery. Follow this family of which is through their lies and all the drama that surrounds them. Well written cast of characters you will love reading the story. Check them out
So funny, campy humor, simply a delight! The characters are vivid and wildly entertaining. I'm seriously addicted, and I cannot wait for the next book!
I love these books!!! Lots of mystery with !it's of twists! Great characters and lots of comedy with bits of romance! I am hooked!! Seriously, I can see these books as TV movies or a series!!
I tried really hard to like this series. I’ve read three books and I can’t get past my dislike for the main character, Dylan. She’s immature and unpleasant, whining over everything. I gave it a shot, but I won’t be reading anymore.
Dylan is a reluctant witch. We know this because she spends about 80% of the book whining about it. Her relationship with hunky Roman is a head-scratcher; a worldly ex-assassin who doesn't like witches with a wishy-washy witch who will kiss a guy and sit on his lap publicly but will not just...take his hand first. REALLY?! The middle sister Sera hasn't exhibited much personality, and the youngest sister Reid is obnoxious. Teenagers are almost expected to be self-involved; however, what 18-year-old threatens to throw a temper tantrum?! Snarky doesn't mean childish; just look at Grandma Milly.
So why four stars? The story-telling is done well; the way the mystery branches of comes as a surprise, but it's logical. The characters have heart (with the notable exceptions of Reid and Jenny) and seem to be slowly evolving. Tantalizing possibilities are scattered like breadcrumbs leading towards later installments. The G-rated romance is appropriate for all readers and somehow makes you root for the pair, and the humor is snarky without going overboard (those Grandmas are a hoot!). And the ending has me looking forward to Book 4!
Well, I’m sure by now that Dylan’s family thinks her middle name is TROUBLE. Bless her heart, where ever she goes trouble seems to follow and she winds up, unwittingly in a tangle with The Queen Witch or the Witch Council. Fraud is discovered in the voting for the new Queen Witch, who happens to be found dead of suffocation by bubblegum. Dylan finds herself nominated for and winning the Queen Witch position even with her limited knowledge base of magic. Dylan must be Queen Witch temporarily until the murder is solved. Wow, oh wow, the shenanigans that go on during their hunt for the murderer. Great story, loved Angels Dawe’s narration provided for the audio version! Easy to recommend for a fun southern witch mystery with paranormal thrown in to boot. 😍
So glad I decided to read this series, firstly found since bought it there were another 5 books, which of course I now have. 2nd because they are so good. I put these sorts of books under Cosy Mysteries, cos they can be real feel good books. They also always have at least a mystery, often a murder. Most importantly, they have a really good storyline and lead characters you get to love, win win I say Sue P
Dylan is still trying to say she’s not a witch she wants no part of it because every time you get around a bunch of witches they try to kill her. Then they were invited to the castle to vote for the new queen. So everybody has to go to the castle cast their vote but everyone isn’t doing it the way they’re supposed to. Cute books like them all. Dylan and Roman or a cute couple who knows maybe in this world they’ll find out if they really are a couple.
The mysteries just keep getting better and better. I'm glad the stories are written so you can't tell right away who the villain is. In this one, I never would have figured it out. You definitely had me stumped. Oh,but very happy about the relationship status of the sisters.
Pros: There are comic moments. There is magic. Cons: The heroine is unwilling to be heroic and lacks agency except when there is absolutely no choice. She is completely at the mercy of people and events, and she makes no efforts to engage. She whines constantly. Her family is annoying.
In this the third installment of Bless your witch series by Amy Boyles, Dylan and family is whisked away to vote on Queen Witch. The witch that was voted in ended up dead. Dylan was voted interim queen witch. She tried hiding from her council. I loved reading this book and can't wait to see where Amy Boyles goes with the rest of the series.
I have officially found a new favorite Cosy Author. These books are cute and hilarious but still have a lot of action. I’m happy that Sera found her plus 1 and Polly is ok.
Did you know that Witch Queen are elected?? Well they are ! So now Dylan & her family are off to Witch Castle to vote! The adventures they have while there are mysterious and funny! Maybe even romantic!
When the next queen is elected she is instantly killed. Dylan becomes queen until the killer is found. While searching for the killer, they discover the election was rigged.
I’m just here for Roman Bane. That’s it. And to get through these books so I know what’s going on in the Lost Southern Magic series. Sweet Tea Witches is much more my pace, and I love the FMC a whole lot more!
