Bubble Riding is a story that teaches children how to use visualizations to relax, lower stress, and fall asleep faster. A sea child and turtle take children on a relaxing bubble ride through the ocean as they learn a fun visualization technique, also known as creative imagery. Visualizing is the ability to form a mental image of something while using your imagination.
This technique can have a positive impact on your child's overall health, creativity, and performance. Professional athletes use visualizations to experience success. Creative imagery is used to help patients heal faster, with less pain and has been considered a healing tool in virtually all of the world's cultures. This story is ideal for older children or those with a longer attention span.
Bubble Riding is one of four stories featured on the Indigo Ocean Dreams audiobook and is available in several formats. The Spanish version is called Montando Burbujas ( 9781937985127)
Note to Children are intrigued by both rainbows and bubbles. The colorful soothing experience of this story feels so good that you and your child will want to do it again and again. Every child has a different emotional maturity, attention span, and need. While the stories are best suited for ages 6-12, do not let this be your primary reason for selecting. You know your child best and remember this is not about the reading level. The focus is on the actual visualization technique.

A harmadik, frissen megjelent relaxációs mesekönyv Lori Lite-tól.
When I first read this with my daughter, I was a little disappointed - I just didn't think she would like it and it seemed long and repetitive. But as I sit here at 7.20pm with her fast asleep beside me, I can say this is the FIRST book in her nearly three years of life she has fallen asleep while I have been reading to her - not ONCE but TWICE out of the last five nights. When I have said it is time for the bubble riding book, she is very excited to go get her PJs on, brush her teeth and jump into bed. She is a little whirlwind, and anything that can help her relax - even if we only get a few weeks out of it - is a great investment in my opinion.
This was ok - but just that. It was a little too repetitive, and not in the fun, rhythmic sing-song way that a lot of books for children are. It was just long, wordy and repetitive, which is irritating when you are reading aloud. Our youngest liked the illustrations, especially the rainbow and turtle.
I can imagine, however, that if you are playing this on a CD, lying in the dark, it might be a soothing way to help your children settle down for sleep.
I liked the book, but it was boring. Although its meant to be boring, it still makes me want to give it two stars. The relaxation was okay, I felt like this book wasn't very relaxing. Overall, 3.30 stars.
