I loved this one a lot and have so much underlined & highlighted. Definitely a personal development book that you want to take your time with and do each "exercise". I liked that there was space after each segment to use as a workbook.

*I've got this book from NetGalley in exchange of a honest review*

Firstly, I have to say, that I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. The things that I liked were short but informative, helpful and inspirational chapters, also at the and of each chapter there were practical tasks, that you could do to improve your life.
Of course, for me, who read a lot of self-help books, there weren't something new to learn, but still it gave me inspiration and motivation to be better version of me. For those who, just starts to read these kind of books it could be exceptionally helpful.

Do I recommend it ? Of course.

This is probably one if my favorite personal development books that I've read so far. It was engaging from the beginning and I like that Alexi doesn't beat around the bush. She's very to-the-point about every topic she discusses and that's something that I appreciate.

Most of the chapters are very short, but powerful.

Each chapter has missions at the end where you can reflect on what you just read and apply it to yourself. The reason this book took me so long to read was because I actually DID all of these missions. Some of these missions forced me to be brutally honest about things that I KNEW I was avoiding. It was a real eye-opener for me and if you truly want to make changes in your life, make sure that you're open and honest to the suggestions in the book.

Although I loved each chapter individually, there are a few that really resonated with me. Either I feel very strongly about the topic or the truth of it was something that I've always tried to avoid in the past.

- Chapter 25: Date Yourself - This is something that I've always been a believer in and it makes me so happy that Alexi put this in her book.

- Chapter 29: Turn Failure Into Fuel - My favorite part about this chapter is learning to take ownership of your failures. I like to blame outside factors as to why things went wrong, but that's unfair and unrealistic. After determining how I, personally, played a part in these failures, it was easier to see how I should make changes to keep going and make improvements.

- Chapter 33: Your Presence is Required - This is a major pet peeve of mine. It annoys me when I invite people out to dinner and I sit there for an hour watching that person scroll through their Instagram/Facebook feed. I get irritated when I'm trying to have a conversation and all they do is interrupt to show me the funny pictures they find. Be present and enjoy one another's company. The internet will be there when you're done.

Like I said, these are just a few that really resonated with me, but you'll definitely want to read the book to see how wonderful it is. If you're serious about wanting to make a positive change in your life, definitely pick up this book and complete all the missions!

*I received this book for free from the publisher for an honest review.*

This book looks and sounds incredibly fluffy, but if you read it you will find yourself pleasantly surprised. There are some seriously solid tips that, if used, could transform your life.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:
I hate the title. It's not one that you want to tell anyone that you are reading, because it is incredibly cheesy. Also, I hate that there are only 50 ways. The book is set up to be a workbook and it seems like a missed opportunity that this is 2 prompts away from being a yearlong journey. Many of the things discussed would take at least a week to fully appreciate and get used to doing anyway.

WHAT I LIKED:
This is an incredibly useful book and the tools found in here are a collection that will really help you to feel much happier in your life. You could spend years reading lots of different self-help books or you could save yourself some time and have Alexi sum it all up in 160 pages.

WHO SHOULD READ:
Anyone who is looking to add some more joy to their life. Anyone who is new to the realm of self-help and motivational books. (Really not much that is new here. This is more of a collection of the best of the best approaches to happiness.)

I struggled with this book a little. On the one hand it had some good advice, but on the other, I found it a bit hard to swallow. Maybe it was just me (ahem, cynic!) but some of the tips/lessons/"ways" came across a little blunt/accusatory/confusing. I understood the intent behind them, but felt a little lost in the delivery. It felt a little "the universe is bigger than you, and nothing is in your control" mixed with "if you feel you life is crap, that's on you, so do something"- which was not only bold on both sides, but confusing when you put it together. Considering a lot of the book discussed the way we perceive ourselves and the world around us, perhaps it was how I was responding to the content that was the issue- I am aware that I can be cynical at times. But it made me wonder how many other people felt the same.
On a positive note though, I did love how the book was broken up into small chapters, so I could read a chapter while getting ready for work, waiting for dinner to cook, or during an ad break.
All around, not for me, but I would still recommend it to a friend- because art is interpreted differently through the eyes of others.

“In order to SEE the change, we must BE the change. Alexi Panos

An awesome book altogether. I highlighted so many quotes and advice along the way. Alexi Panos put so much of herself into the book by sharing some of her life lessons and experiences along the way.

A great read that I will undoubtedly pick up again.

Here’s the thing. If you’ve ever read a self help book then you’ve read this book. A lot of this book was just repeating information that has been in the self help community for years. It wasn’t a bad book but I don’t think it really gave me anything of value either.

Firstly, I don't like how cheesy the title of this book is but thought I would give it a go anyway. I am so glad I did! I loved how straight to the point this book was an how it touched on so many different concepts briefly. This allowed you insight into many different strategies you could implement into your life to lead a happier existence. The shortness of each strategy means you could easily miss the brilliance being shared, as jumping from one thing to the next so quickly doesn't give you time to stop and pause. This might be a fantastic book to read over the period of a year, trying out one strategy each week to fully allow the teachings to sink in. Overall, I felt like I was getting a summary of 50 individual self-help books which was awesome in terms of diversity and quick learning of many topics.

If there is one thing that I love, it's a good self-help book. Give me a book on happiness! Tell me how to grow toward the life I want! Give me some motivation!

Alexi Panos's 50 Ways to Yay was an excellent little book. I wish that I had more time to read it because I would have loved to spread it out over 50 days and actually do one assignment a day. As it were, I completely forgot that I asked for this netgalley and then when I got it I was having a serious relationship with some Stephen King. Once I finally dove in I regretted not doing so sooner.

Panos presents 50 quick lessons on how to live a happier, more fulfilling life. After a short chapter on the lesson, there is a mission and some reflection. It's kind of nice how she takes concepts and talks about how they apply to her own life and then lays out how to apply them to your own.

I took a lot out of this little book. One of my favorites was the chapter about how nothing happens to you, it happens for you. Just thinking of things that way allowed me to reframe how I was feeling about some things. There were a lot of lessons aimed at helping you reframe and put a new spin on things, which I believe to be very important to a happy life.

This was an excellent little book that was packed full of great advice and I have already suggested it to a friend.

Don't let its short size fool you. This book is short and to-the-point and you can easily finish it in an afternoon, but you'll get a lot more out of it if you read one chapter every day.

The 50 chapters cover everything you need to know and learn to live a better life and become the best version of yourself. They include lessons on love, creativity, gratitude, failure, mastery, and a lot more. Each chapter is both inspirational and practical. Alexi shares how she applies these concepts and beliefs to her own life and explains how you can do the same. At the end of every chapter, you'll find some reflections and exercises that'll help you put what you've just learned into practice.

Nothing in this book is groundbreaking. If you're an avid reader of self-help books, you've probably familiar with everything that's discussed here. Still, it makes for a good reminder. If you're new to these kinds of books, then you'll love the short format, the practical insights, and Alexi's wonderful personality. I'd definitely recommend it to a friend just starting out on her personal development journey.

Really, really good!

I've always enjoyed things whether reading watching or listening that would contribute to my personal growth and expansion.
And this book is one of those kind of things.
If you really cares about yourself, your happiness and well being you will certainly enjoy this book and the processes Alexi offers here will resonate with you. Even if you don't relate with them all, a bunch of them will believe me! After all she offers 50 ways to yay, there's a lot of things right!

Another good thing I found about this book is that, since she offers so many cool ways to enjoy life and improve ourselves it leads us to think about some areas we did not even notice we could improve a lil more. Super cool!

So yeah get yourself ready and start reading, improve yourself and get better.

I'm a truly believer that our greatest work begin with ourselves and then we are led to create wonderful things with our lives and touch the lives of others! Well done Alexi, great job with this book! Really, really good :)

Added this to my TBR list who knows when and this was a quick read for me. I think it would be valuable to treat it as a 50-day challenge, doing each item on its own.

50 Ways to Yay is self-help for the kind of person who considers the self-help section way too New Age. Filled with fifty short chapters that include a lesson on things like hope, love, creativity, kindness, and ambition, followed by questions to ask ourselves about where we are right now and how we can put the lessons into practice in our lives.

You could read the entire book in an hour or two, but I think it's best read one chapter at a time as a daily ritual. There isn't much that's new here for those already familiar with the world of inspirational personal growth books, but it's short and sweet and a nice reminder for those people. For anyone new to self-help, it's an excellent jumping off point to start to consider life with more joy and intention.

I received this title courtesy of Netgalley and the publisher and thank them for making it available.

Not for me. While I recognize the goodwill and thoughts put into this works (that's why I go for 3 stars for this review) and I have occasionally found the pearls of wisdom (truly) here, yet I find this book being too general and nothing really that new is gathered here. If I go for honesty here, this is a kind of New-Age, non-religious "devotional" of modern ages, really. Yet, there are some nice thoughts, so I am not saying "do not read it" - but I advise you to go deeper and to not taking this little book as "the one" to save your sanity/soul.

I received this ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I personally really enjoyed this book. I loved the way every concept, mission, and reflection are neatly divided into 50 chapters. The chapters are short, easy to read, and straight to the point. I also really enjoyed Alexi’s examples and self exercises given for each chapter. I would highly recommend this book for all self-help lovers.

This Self help book gives a lot of pointers on how to live life to the fullest. It tells you how Alexi achieved YAY. I felt that it could have offered more suggestions or examples to get started in figuring out where "I" should start. It was a little too generic for me but some of the chapters were worth reading. Basically I enjoyed the book and I did learn a few things about attitude and happiness.

The book was filled with short, helpful and inspirational chapters. At every end of each chapter there were tasks what I really liked. So you could see if the chapter has really worked and it gets you active. It was easy to read, even when English isn't your first language.
I would recommend this book.

What an insightful, inspiring, thought-provoking book. It made me look at things in my life differently, and to re-think how I process life's events, and how my outlook and thoughts affect others. It turned out to be a much more profound read than I thought when I picked it up at the library. Highly recommended!!!
