Demons tore her life apart. Can a sexy Scottish Druid put it back together again?
My name is Arabella, and I'm one hell of a mess. My entire life, I've been driven to protect and defend the innocent. But my history of epilepsy has kept me from getting into the military or law enforcement or any other career that would let me follow my dreams.
I've never felt like I've belonged because of my condition, but at least I thought I knew who I was. But then I crashed my car on the interstate, and went flying straight into the clutches of a demon in human skin. I didn't think life could get crazier than that, until a hunky guy who seems to be the lovechild of Outlander and the Iron Druid dropped in and rescued me.
But I'm not safe. Far from it. Because Brodie won't take me home. He insist that my life is a lie, and that I'm still in danger. He says the demons think I have something they want, and they won't stop coming for me until they get it.
I should run far, far away from this man. But I'm drawn to him in a way I can't explain. Those startling green eyes see past my barriers and into the real me, in a way that I didn't think anyone ever could. And that wicked smile makes me wonder what else he can do with that tempting mouth. Plus, ever since the demons showed up, my seizures have been getting worse. I have a feeling its all connected, and if I can figure out how, I might just be able to cure myself.
If I want to find out the truth, my only choice is to put my life in the hands of this charming, but dangerous Scotsman. And hope he doesn't break me in the process.
3.7 stars. I read another series by this author so I was curious to see what direction she'd take this one. For the most part all of your questions are answered and the adventure is wrapped up in the end. There is still plenty of space for more book if she wants to add more.
I would've liked more at the end but only because it took so long for the h/H to get together.
Brodie is a Druid with a vission from Gaia. Arabella is in a bad wreck. While Arabella has secrets she doesn't remember. With enemies after her can Brodie keep her safe. The book totally rocks. I love Arabella sassy attitude and how she can handle her own . Brodie is sexy strong and one she can trust. A must read.
This book was fun. It was a version of the good vs evil plot, but a bit different. I enjoyed the characters and can't wait to see what happens next for the others that stood on the sidelines in this book.
The pull to continue reading was like magic! I love the thought of Druids and Angels being able to find each other and can't wait to see what else you have them go through. Always love a sexy Highlander!! 😉
This was a really interesting book. My only complaint was the ending was too rushed. I wish the end was a little more drawn out with some more closure.
Demons, Druids, Sentinels, and Angels....what's not to love?
Arabella has absence seizures and she thought they were gone after more than a year free of them. Until she has one while driving and the EMTs turn out to be demon possessed.
From the moment Abigail wakes up in a car accident, she knows something is terribly wrong. She can feel the evil surrounding her trying to free her from the car. What she doesn't realize is from that point forward, life as she thought she knew it will change forever. She meets her unexpected savior, Brodie, a tall gorgeous hunk of a man, but she's scared to death. Wondering if this new reality isn't some sort of mental illness or if everyone claiming to help her is the enemy. When Abigail finally concedes Brodie is only there to protect her, they set off on a journey to make things right, picking up pieces of her past along the way. Enemies are hot on their trail the entire time and nowhere is safe. Will Abigail give into her newfound powers and let them guide her or will she forever be in denial? Will Brodie be able to keep the woman he's falling in love with safe until the end? It's only a matter of time. I love this new series and the ending will leave you hot and breathless! I can't wait to see what's in store for Brodie and Abigail in the next installment. Jasmine gets a well deserved 5 stars!
I've read all the Baine chronicles, and loved them too, so I am familiar with this author. I loved reading about Arabella and her scott, and their world. Can't wait to read the next one.. please tell me there will be a next one?? And soon.. I hope so :
I loved this book and Jasmine Walt. It was fast paced and kept me interested with every page. And there was no cliffhanger. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I was sometimes confused by the chapters alternating between Brodie and Arabella. I can't wait to read the next one.
I enjoyed very much this book. I loved Jax and can't wait to read more about her friendship with Arabella. I just wished there was some other finale,to hear what the mother has to say,for Arabella to meet Brodie's mother and for Bells and Jax to be reunited. Again, can't wait to see where the second book will take us.It's the firs book from Jasmine that I read and I like her style of writing. I gave it 3 stars because I felt that at the start it was rushed an I wanted more informations about this new world.
Everything in this book felt too easy. Also rushed, it was over quick which given the lack of depth was a good thing but that meant I never really connected with the characters. The easy way they fell in love bugged me but I guess I should have expected it from such a quick little novel.
Don't think I'll bother reading more of this series, I don't care what happens to the characters.
I laughed and cried, I totally enjoyed this book, as I have all her others!! I can not wait for the next! I so she could write them as fast as I can read them! Please hurry Jasmine!
I really like jasmine's other books, but this felt undercooked. There were some grammatical errors, and a whole lot of telling instead of showing. It could have been great with an interesting plot, but it felt like a sketch of a good story. I DNF'd it at 47%
