War has arrived. With the corrupt Victor Jimenez in possession of the Serpent's Egg, not much can stop him, but something-or someone-must, and that task falls to Nessa. With her friends around her, Nessa delves deeply into the magic she controls. But Victor has the upper hand and he knows it. Earthquakes begin as a warning and quickly progresses into something much worse. The losses begin to add up as time runs out, and Nessa does everything she can to save the world from utter disaster.
J. E. Hunter lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, and began writing at a young age as an excuse to stay indoors during the cold winters. Several trips to the Pacific coast brought the inspiration for the Black Depths Series. J. E. Hunter has spent many years working in the field of environmental engineering and protection, a common theme in her works. When not reading, writing, or working, J. E. Hunter is often planning future adventures or busy living them.
I struggled to finish the last book. It felt as though the author either got tired of her story or just wanted to be don with it. This could have been an amazing series.
