The Perfect English Grammar Workbook
Never misplace a comma again— The Perfect English Grammar Workbook makes it easy.
This is a nice, breezy tour through the very basics of English grammar. It was all review for me (except that I struggle to remember all the terms for aspect and tense!), but the information is good and McLendon is an encouraging guide (I've had some webinars with her, and she's a really nice teacher). I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a little practice with the basics. For anyone wanting a more advanced, no-detail-left-behind kind of book, Bryan Garner's Chicago Guide to Grammar, Usage, and Punctuation is the one (but it's not a workbook, and it takes a lot longer to read, of course).
Beware, though: there are some mistakes in the answer key (pp. 199–200).
This is excellent as a crashcourse on high school grammar. I did not feel silly when I forgot certain rules, and sometimes laughed because the authoress made me feel better. I felt more confident, though the beginning did seem very amateur. Definitely recommend.
I love this book and feel as if I had written it. McClendon even uses some of the same mnemonic tricks that I do. The exercises are great for working with a student. And I haven't found a mistake yet!
The way this book was laid out, the various practices provided, and the efficiency in communication makes it a pleasant read. Who would ever say that about grammar? And now it’s a handy resource book.

Whether you are wanting to brush up your grammar skills or challenge yourself. The Perfect English Grammar workbook is the perfect tool to do so. I thought I remembered all those colons vs. Semicolons & commas vs. run on sentences. Some came back, others did not. I did enjoy challenging myself over it though. Those in high school can use it to prep for those essays for the upcoming SAT test. College students and grads can help refresh your memory and improve writing skills. I think this is a great workbook to practice and hone your Grammar skills for personal and business correspondence. Don't laugh but I enjoyed doing the exercises and realizing how much of these grammar rules I had retained.
My rating of "The Perfect English Grammar Workbook" is 4.75 out of 5 stars.

There are tons of practice exercises and quizzes to test your retention and challenge your writing journey. If you're on the search to strengthen your grammar and writing like myself, I would definitely recommend this delightfully helpful aid. I received a review copy of this book from the publisher.
English is my second language, and I had struggled with grammar on my writing, and this book has definitely helped me get better understanding some of the critical fundamentals for better and clear writing.
This workbook is decidedly superficial and unsophisticated, which means it's doesn't meet my definition of perfect. But if basic and simple is what you want, it may be perfect for you.
