Keiko Takemiya (竹宮惠子), earlier known as 竹宮恵子 (note: it's the first kanji in her given name, 恵→惠) is a Japanese mangaka.

She is one of the 24-Gumi (Magnificent 49ers), the group of female manga artists that pioneered the shoujo genre. Professor of manga studies at Kyoto Seika University.

Malgrado sia una narrazione datata, mantiene il fascino del dramma.
Le ambientazioni sono molto fantasiose ma esotiche ed affascinanti, è un Egitto immaginario, con rimandi a doversi elementi esterni.

Sicuramente nel complesso è un'opera che appartiene ad un modo diverso di fare manga rispetto a quello a cui siamo abituati oggi. Ma molto affascinante.


Despite its dated narrative, it retains the charm of drama.
The settings are highly imaginative, yet exotic and fascinating; it's an imaginary Egypt, with numerous references to external elements.

Overall, it's certainly a work that belongs to a different style of manga than what we're used to today. But it's very fascinating.
