I had a dream and a plan.
It was a risk but I got noticed.
I never thought the story I’ve chased would become my own reality.

A descent into darkness.

The signs were there, before it even happened.
I felt it and I should have run without looking back.
But I didn’t realize how deep and depraved it would become.

As the lines became blurred. I felt lost, but also found.

Was I selfish? Stupid? A victim?
Or was it simply my own special kind of sickness?
This is it. My monster. My enemy. My choice.

My story.

WARNING! This is dark erotic suspense. Story contains scenes of rape, abuse and violence which may be a trigger for some. It is intended for mature readers of dark erotica. Please proceed with caution.

First of all, I'm in love with this book's cover. I can't stop looking at it. It fascinates me so much!

Alright, so this story was really messed up. So messed up that it made me feel like maybe I was messed up. Whatever, I know I'm not the only messed up mess out there and these characters certainly showed proof of that.

I can't even write a proper review right now because I have way too much to say and I don't want to ruin this story for anyone. I'll just leave you with my final thoughts:

👼 I had absolutely no sympathy for Angel. NONE!! I don't like to throw women under the bus or blame them for the predicament they find themselves in, but... I blame her. I don't suffer fools lightly and I think it's funny how the author showed us Angel's stupidity, had her acknowledge said stupidity, and then had her proceed with said stupidity. I was shaking my head all over the place during this plot. I was Gordon Ramsay-ing her!

👼 The author found a way to make Mike into a sympathetic character. Now how messed up is it that I wanted a happy ending for him and not Angel? How messed up is it that I was rooting for him, cared for him, wanted to know more about him? My heart broke for him as a child and considering how he was raised, he didn't really stand a chance. His darkness was harnessed and refined at such an early age that his views, wants and needs were perverted.

In the end, this was a dark tale about a captor and his captive, however, if you happen to read it, you'll find that it encompasses so much more than that. I had a blast reading it and I recommend it to anyone looking for a story that is twisted and dark.

3.75 "loving the monster" stars

Angel (Club Nymph #2) is a continuation of the story in book 1 of the mentioned series as we now get to see what led to Angel's state of mind and body as we know from a glimpse of it in the first book.

Formed like a story inside the story, this book starts with a re-telling of Angel's recent past (of two year span) as a part of her therapy and we get to unravel the conscious and subconscious actions that led Angel to her present state.

Angel Darcia is a girl with an edge, she seeks excitments and adrenaline rush in dangerous and mysterious scenarios of life. She starts working as a pole dancer in Club nymph as we know from book 1, her danger seeking turns into a survival of the mentally fittest when she gets involved with a handsome DJ in the club, Mike Lane. But what she's about to find out is more than she would ever bargained for. And the rush of darkness and thrilling edge might have started as an exciting game but it would turn into a survival and a coping mode of either vanishing from light or embracing the darkness,
I wasn't terrified of that best anymore. I craved the beast inside him. I desired the pain he could deliver to me…

as the man she knew as Mike, will take over her life – first, to break her, piece by piece, part by part, then mend her and mold her until he owns her body, mind and soul.
I chose to accept his darkness, welcome his demons, and enjoy his cruel love.

And that still wouldn't be enough…for either of them…

 photo angel1_zpscqexutvy.jpg

Angel is a dark, edgy, gritty and vile read with actions that you wouldn't likely accept. Its content explores the unconventional of the human psyche. The blurred lines of right and wrong when everything is wrong to start with but inside of darkness you happen to find a glimse of light that only works in certain given conditions and you should look at it from that perspective, otherwise this book will not work for you. It's a subjective insight into the depraved, violent nature of the deepest unsearched human mind where it's difficult to find any justification for those mentioned actions, but somehow you manage to find a glimpse of it, in sentiment and empathy for the villain.

And that's the most valuable process I found in this story, where Abby Gale as an author found the courage to present a valid insight into the mind of the most obvious villain character and made his understory approachable and susceptible to sensitivity of common human nature in all of us – empathy.

In that sense, the female charachter Angel, in my opinion, had to be turned into a anti-heroine of a sort, giving her a „dark“ side as a starting point so we are able to understand „her“ POV and the reasoning of her actions that are the result of the conditioning through the physical and emotional torture and torment she's exposed to and why she was able to tranform herself in the end.

The very same process of that transition from captive to willing participant as a segment of a Stocholm syndrom and a defaulted „dark“ predisposition of her personality, was detailed in description and yet I unfortunately didn't quite submerge into it, hence finding the explanation of the nurture conditioning of Mike's character into the monster/villain as we see him through out the entire story ( we see that through the flashbacks of his past), more credible and susceptible to empathy in a way.

There was also a second party involved in the present life of Angel, and that character was portrayed in my humble opinion as „too prefect“ as oppose to many palpable and visible flaws of both Angel and Mike. So that connection wasn't sustainable in my perception but the author offered an idea of further developing that particular relationship through a novella, so that might also be a solution to another maybe deeper involvment for both characters and readers.

Over and all, this story will reveal more than a hundered new shades of DARK, VILE, DEVIOUS, SICKENING and TORTUROUS as we look into the behind the scenes of Angel's path, from wild adventurous, thill seeking girl towards the dark abyss she would never really get out off!

and Abby Gale surfs the dark waters like a pro!

Let me start off with saying that you NEED to read Violet first before Angel both are absolutely dark but oh so good. As the author stated there are intense scenes and topics that take place throughout this story including rape and so you need to be prepared so you can focus on the entire story and not judge based on certain events only. We're taken back a few times to book one with events that we heard from Alex and Dawn BUT its from Angel's pov and are the missing pieces to the puzzle that make sense now. Throughout Angel's story we get flashbacks of Mike's childhood and reliving events with him, it's needed to make you fully understand this man and the way his mind had been programed to work. Angel speaks to us like a diary and we're seeing and feeling every experience with her. Although I have never experienced anything myself I feel as though I had, that is how well this story was written. I was an an emotional mess at one point because your heart is with both of them when you get the entire story and everything comes full circle. When we are brought to the present day we are at the ending of book 1 but keep moving forward. As much as you don't want to you can't help but feel sorry and in a way love both of them after taking this journey with them and experiencing what they have both gone through, I was in tears reading through at a point. This story will stay with you long after you're done reading it, this is a beautifully written gets deep into your heart and soul. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

I loved the story, but the ending broke my heart. My emotions were all over the place though out the entire thing. Everything Angel felt, I felt it right when she did. I completely fell in love with Mike by the end, as sick and twisted as that is. I felt her love for him as intensely as she did, I think. I feel like Abby wanted you to love him, feel the same emotions toward Mike that Angel did. She hit the nail on the head. I'm left with a broken heart because of all the things Angel and Mike went through together.

Mike is more sick and twisted than you could ever fathom. Living in a dark would not of his own creation, the only way Mike knows how to show love is by causing physical and emotional pain to others. There are times when you will hate him. times where his twisted mind is so dark that you may want to put the book down. Don't. Everything happens for a reason.

Angel is an adventure junky by her own admission. She's a smart girl, she knows Mike is dangerous but that's what makes her want him more. For reasons I don't understand, I think she was dark and twisted before she met Mike. She is a smart girl and will do whatever it takes to survive, to live. But you can't always control feelings, or understand them. some are easier to feel than others. Which feelings a person uses to cope depends on the person. I think the things Angel felt for Mike she didn't fully understand herself. As the reader, there were times I couldn't understand why I felt a certain way about him myself. My mind is still blown trying to make sense of everything I feel after reading it.

This is dark erotica, read with caution. There are sexual scenes that aren't suitable for everyone. Be prepared to have your emotions in a cluster, to have your mind blown, your heart filled with love and your heart shattered. This story has all the feels. My heart and mind are still exploding because of everything it made me feel. I know I'll be feeling this way every time this story crosses my mind. It's unforgettable.

When it comes to Mike though..

I can say that I definitely fell for the monster..

There is a warning at the beginning of this book ending with, " This book has nothing to do with unicorns, rainbows, hearts and flowers." This is dark, there is graphic content involving rape, and nudging against other taboo areas. This is Book #2 in the Club Nymph series. Violet is book #1 and these books run in tandem with each other. Angel works well as a standalone.
You are going to delve into the world of a monster. At no point will your mind be allowed to escape this. You will be given insight into why the monster came to be, there will be parts that quite possibly are going to make you want to stop but Abby Gale has written a story you will want to finish. This world is presented mostly from Angel's point of view. You are brought back and forth in an interview after the ordeal, and you see the toll that's been taken on her psyche.
There is a constant battle of our common notions of light and dark happening within Angel well after she is "broken" but there is no mistaking, Mike is a creature of darkness, flashbacks will help you understand why but he is what he is, even with his best intentions. It is the realism in how these two "damaged" lives are portrayed that earned five stars.
Does redemption exists for our beast?
Can a beauty caught in hell "really love" the devil?
Not everyone will agree, but that's what made this an excellent read.
I was issued an ARC for my voluntary review.

Nothing, absolutely nothing prepared me for this story. I read the blurb, I read the warnings, and I was still blindsided by the twists and turns this story took.
I've read (and loved) other Abby Gale books, and I loved this one also. I don't know the last time a book made me tear up like this.
I was emotionally invested in Mike, maybe even more than Angel. His history, what turned him into the man he's become, is gutwrenching. I wanted so much for him to have a happy ending. And though most of the book is from Angel's POV, I wanted to "hear" his thoughts and perspective on each scene.
Angel is still a great character. She's strong, even when it seems she's not, and makes some pretty tough decisions throughout.
This book is not for the faint-hearted or anyone looking for a typical happily ever after romance. It's dark, it's graphic, and it's unbelievably good, but be warned...

This is the second book in the club Nymph series. This is a dark book. It really gets in the head of a character we meet in book one. I don't want to spoil either book so I'm going to be vague. But, The lead male in this book is crazy. The flash backs give us the reason why, which makes you want to hug him. But, then realizing what he has done makes you want to puke. I really liked this book. It kept me on edge even though we know part of the ending from reading Part one. This book is very dark erotica and may not be for everyone. The Author gives the trigger warning at the beginning of the book. I loved this book. Abby Gale is becoming one of my favorite Authors to read. I suggest reading Violet (Club Nymph book one) first.

Wow!! This is a very intense and dark book. WARNING: This book contains scenes of rape, abuse and violence. If you find these disturbing or they are triggers for you then this is not a good book for you. This book is achingly complex. A woman that caves to temptation and a man broken beyond repair. This book will not be for everyone. It has sensitive subject matter that some will just dislike and others find truly offensive. Myself, I enjoyed the deep fall into the abyss. This book shocked me, made me question my thoughts and opinions and pushed my emotions to the limit. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

If you like dark and twisted this book is perfect! I do suggest reading Violet first. Angel was drawn to Mike and even after learning he spent time in an asylum she still got in the car with him. Mike wants to break Angel and mold her into his perfect toy, Min. After weeks of drugging her Mike cuts her off and uses pain to curb her cravings but all Angel wants is to not go back to "the room". She endures mental and physical abuse (if you have triggers this book is not for you) but starts to fall in love with Mike. I love the way you get 3 types of stories, insight into Mike's childhood, the 2 years Angel is held captive and the sessions with Angel and her therapist after she is found.

This author pulled a switch-a-roo and changed genres. It can't always be done skillfully but she is showing her true roots with Angel. We got a peek at the darkness in this writer in Violet but now we see more, so much more. This is Angel's story and it is not pretty. It's not kind of twisted it is completely twisted in a mind altering way. We find out how when where and why and are left with "What the Heck?!?" Angel is torn down but you here her thoughts and can't help but wonder about these two.

This author takes it one step further than just the story of Angel and she dives into the creation of the monster known as Mike and his connection to William. Sick doesn't describe it. Horrible doesn't cover it. The best I can do is tell you to read it. You can't imagine the rabbit hole we are thrown into with this book until you do. This is not for the faint at heart, but then if you are someone who enjoys dark this book is calling to you for a reason. Be careful, Angel played with the darkness. . . . and she liked it.

Another hit by Abby Gale! This is a great Dark erotic suspense story that is not for everyone. But if you enjoy dark reads, you won't want to miss this one, it's one of the best. The storyline will keep you enthralled from beginning to end.
It contains some disturbing scenes but it shapes the characters and pulls all ranges of emotions from the reader. It's very complex and really touched my heart and soul. It's a book that will stay with you long after you're done reading it.

we get to see what Twisted hell Angel lived through. You can feel everything from these pages and you can decide if Mike is a monster. I have my own take on him, but I have lived things that average people haven't. The support that she gets from her friends and family is terrific and it helps her make this adaption back to life. I volunteered to read this book for my review. I wish that you would one click the series

This is the second book I’ve read by this author and Oh My God. Oh my God...! My heart can’t take it.. I can’t even, process my thoughts right now. I’m gutted, dead, literally still balling my eyes out. I can’t even comprehend how I’m feeling because it’s all to much for me.

So this book follows Angel and Mike. (The Dancer and the DJ from club nymph) At first I wasn’t a fan of Mike or the Harrison brothers in general, because I thought they were the biggest douchebags ever..! Never in my life, while reading a book did I think I’d fall for the villain and ball my fucking eyes out, (because of everything that happened to Mike as a child growing up and into the adult that he has become) but that’s exactly what happened. Mike sees himself as a “Monster” in his eyes. Knowing that you made mistakes and having to let someone go because of those mistakes is a hard thing to do. I never doubted the love Angel and Mike had- even though it was unorthodox, I loved it. It was different and twisted. It was dark and scary, it was everything you’d find messed up about love. But Angel accepted all of him regardless of his flaws and he loved her enough to let her go.

I felt all the emotions- lust, love, the sex, shame, regrets, mistakes, self-doubt, brokenness, the dominance, possessiveness, the caring for each other, the love and just the raw gutted emotions throughout the book. I’m still crying trying to write my review. (I just hope I’m making sense) I think this has got to be one of my new favorite books by Abby so far. My heart broke for Angel, Mike, MJ and Pax. To love, after being in love and choosing to walk away while losing someone you truly love and care about is a hard thing to do and to love someone else unconditionally-regardless of all flaws and everything they feel they are unworthy of is what true love is all about.

I highly recommend this book. I loved it! Absolutely loved it... besides my heart breaking it was everything! Job well done Abby!

After reading the first book in the ‘Club nymph’ series by Abby Gale I was excited to start this book. ‘Angel’ is a dark twisted tale that I just couldn’t put down, 4.5 stars.

This is a really difficult book to review and the author does warn of incidents that happen in the book and that it might not be suitable for all and have some triggers for people. That being said although there are some difficult parts in the book it is extremely well written.

This is book that will have you questioning yourself as you can’t but help feel for both main characters as the troy unfolds. If you have read the first book which you must do before picking this one up then you are given answers to some of the unresolved questions that you will have. Angel’s story and whereabouts are revealed and we are given insight into the ordeals she has been through.

The fact that you can find yourself sympathising with Mike I this tale is what makes you see just how brilliant the writing is. Abby Gale has excelled in not only telling you a story but also by making you feel it too. A dark and twisted tale that I loved and cannot wait for more.

first, you need to read #1, that book gives you a background story of Angel, even though #1 is about her sister, Violet.
There is a warning in the beginning of this book, explaining that it is a dark book, it contains taboo areas including drugs, rape, kidnapping and mind controlling.
during book #1 and the beginning of this book I hated Mike, he is an arse hole and needs torturing, but during this book you got to know his past and the things he had been through, he had a hard, traumatising life and suffered mentally from it, as much as you hate him, you can't help but sympathise for him at the end.
Angel is a wild girl who made bad decisions, she didn't deserve what Mike did to her, but he fell in love with her in his own sick and twisted way, and she loved him - her monster.
This book isn't a love story, and it does get you thinking about real life, because everyone can say "Oh she's stupid, how can she love him" etc, but until you have been in the situation that Angel has been through, you can't say that.
This book is written excellently, I can't fault the author for anything written in it, I honestly wish there was options for more than 5 stars ❤

Angel by Abby Gale is the second book in the Club Nymph Series and I loved it. This book is very dark and will touch on subjects that are not for everyone. So please be warned and read at your own risk. Also even though Angel is a standalone, I would suggest reading Violet first as this book has some chapters that overlap with ones from the first book.

Angel was a writer looking for a juicy story, when she started working at Club Nymph as a dancer but what she got instead was something darker. She got Mike, the monster who kidnapped and broke her to the point she fell in love with him and their life he created for them. But what happens when she can no longer tame the monster in him? Will she finally be free after 2 years of captivity or is she broken beyond compare?

I loved this book!!! Deep. Dark! A villain you will love.  A horrible childhood that turned Mike into a monster like no other. Murder. Rape. Violence. He broke and molded Angel into the woman he desired.  The story kept you on the edge of your seat with a rollercoaster ride of all types of emotions. The characters were amazing.  Abby Gale has gone beyond her normal writings to create this masterpiece!
This series is fabulous!!! I would definitely recommend this series. Violet is Book 1 of this series. This book can be a standalone.

Angel is book 2 in the Club Nymph series. It's a raw, dark, gritty read that I couldn't put down until the last page. If you've read book 1, Violet then you know Angel is missing and her sister is looking for her. This book goes over what Angel went through when she was kidnapped. This book is an intense amazing read. It's well written and pushes you to your limit and then lets you explore the other side. The only way to truly understand the depth of darkness this book takes you on is to read both Violet and Angel. I highly recommend both Violet and Angel if you are looking for a dark twisted read. DISCLAIMER; I received an ARC of this book for honest review. Opinions are my own and remain unbiased.

No words. After reading Violet, I was . . . sheesh! It was fantastic! What more can I say!? Jk, this book is full of suspense. I was on the edge of my seat. I've read Violet and it left me 'WOW'. Heed the author's warning. I most certainly did. I knew I was getting into something very DARK and possibly disturbing. But the author knew what she was writing and it shows in the execution.

4.5 Stars, rounding up.

You have to read Violet which is book 1 in this series, in order to really understand what is going on. There is nothing pretty about this series, it is not heart and flowers, it is raw and gritty and will destroy your soul in the best and worst ways. There is a warning at the beginning that there are things that could be triggers, please be very aware of this! This is the parts that we didn't get to see in book 1, we now get to understand how things came to be, and it is not pretty. I love the dark and gritty and will admit to shedding more than a few tears. If you want a cute romcom then this is not for you!

This is the second book in the series, Violet being the first. In order to start at the beginning of the story, you should read Violet first.

Like Abby Gale states before you read the book, it is a very dark book. It takes you back to how Angel was feeling, and how she is dealing with things now. You get a look inside her mind and the mind of her captor. Just be warned ... it can be very disturbing.

I really do not wish to give anything away, this was a fab read. It is a dark read and even comes with a warning seroiusly recommend it though you will need to read Violet 1st

This book went into more detail after I read Violet. I really felt like I was in Angel's head when she was dealing with everything Mike did to her. I found it interesting to know how Mike was raised as a child. Abby Gale has a way of keeping you on the edge of your seat. I hope to find out what future is in store for Pax and Angel. How MJ grows and if gets any siblings. Also< I would like to see how Dawn, Alex and Xander are doing.

Darker than the first book

Great story but much darker than the first.Angel does a great job portraying the emotions of loving her monster, Mike. She vacillated between what she knew was wrong with the man whose demons made him the way it did. Love comes in many different ways. Mike's back story made me sad and it explained so much of why he did the things he did. Very well written

I read the warning at the beginning...
I started the book...
I became obessessed...

The book is disturbing...
The book is vial...
The book makes you say WTF...

But...

You can't keep yourself from continuing to turn the page. You need to know WHY!

WHY...Mike is the way he is.
WHY...Angel became the way she is.
Just WHY...

I became obsessed. I don't want to give anything away but I tried to put myself in Angel's shoes and thought "what would I have done?" Would I have done the same thing? I understand why she did what she did and felt so much pain for her. But I am still in shock and trying to wrap my head around everything. I know I am being vague but I truly don't want to give anything away - you need to read and experience it firsthand for yourself.

And Mike don't get me started with him. I don't think any words can explain his crazy @ss self. But again, part of me also understands why he was the way he was. When you grow up in a screwed up environment how can that not truly not affect you. But still he is CRAZY...beyond CRAZY. Believe me he is whacked out CRAZY but likeableish (is that even a word...no...well now it is) at times.

Abby Gale, girl I'm afraid of how your mind works. I'd love to spend a day inside your brain to see where all your ideas come from but it's scares me too. I would be afraid of never getting out.

This book was packed with so much emotion both good and bad and I was taken for a ride. An amazing book and story. Can't wait to see what you have in store next.

As crazy as this book was I do think it sends a message that you do what you have to do to survive in an unthinkable situation. That judgement can't be made against anyone when they weren't there living in the h@ll that Angel was.

P.S. Read the warning in the beginning. This is a definite dark read and won't be to everyone's liking or style. I loved it and was enthralled with it but that doesn't mean you will be. One-click with caution.

This book was so dark and twisted, but I freaking loved every second of it! Angel went through so much pain and even though it may have been wrong in the eyes of most, I understood her love for Mike. Don't get me wrong and think I didn't think he was twisted but I truly hoped things with him would've become something unexpected. And they did, for the most part.

I have to say that as much as I was enjoying reading about Angel and everything she went through I wanted to know more about the after....but keep reading, it's worth it.

I love the dark and twisted, Abby wrote some powerful things with Angel's story and just grabbed a hold of me through the entire thing. I honestly think I fell for Mike more than I thought I would.

I do have to mention a little bad but it was nothing that effected my rating as I give 4.5 stars; there are some spots that could use another edit because of grammar or just words that were missed. I don't usually get hung up on issues like that but in some parts it was too noticeable for me not to mention.

I would highly recommend this book to all who are a fan of the dark and twisted. This book is definitely not suited for all but it is a great story!
